We need Buffalo to beat Pittsburgh and Tennessee to beat Houston
It also wouldn’t hurt if Oakland lost
(Oh, and if we won)
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I don't think we win this week.
I think Murray is going to be too much.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Even though I believe we are capable of losing to the Cardinals.
The game feels like a nothing game. Win and it is expected. Lose and you stink for losing to a team with a bad record.
Plus I will be unable to watch the game. I will be driving from Reno to Atlanta. Moving back after five years.
The Ravens. If we beat the Cards it all comes down to the Ravens. Beat them and then Bengals and we have a winning season. In addition we would have gone 5-1 in the division.
Not what I had hoped but in light of all that has gone down.
I would be happy with 9-7.
Been a long time since we had a winning season.

I think Murray is going to be too much. I watched the Steeler cards game, and believe me Arizona is not good. Their defense can't stop the run, and the offense is mediocre at best.

Right now I have zero confidence we can beat anyone. The Cinny game shouldn't have been that close. It's like the team isn't trying to do their best or doesn't care.

I agree .. the fact that the cincy game was close and we had little-to-no-desire is alarming

What is best scenario for the Browns if the Browns were to win out and I know that is a very big "if".
If the Steelers beat the Bills both teams would be 9-5 with 2 games remaining. If the Bills beat the Steelers the Bills would be 10-5 but Pitt would be 8-6.
Also, the Browns would just need the Texans and Saints to beat up on the Titans which could easily happen. The Texans could sweep the Titans and the Saints are better than Tennessee.
The Bills then finish at New England Patriots then home to the New York Jets.
The Steelers then finish at New York Jets and at Baltimore Ravens.
If the Bills lose to the Steelers they almost certainly will lose to the Pats. Leaving them in a must win game vs the New York Jets.
If the Steelers lose they will be only 1 game up on the Browns with 2 to play. Can we count on the Steelers to implode?
Which scenario do you think is more likely to give the Browns a shot?

Which scenario do you think is more likely to give the Browns a shot? im pretty sure none of these scenarios are going to happen, and most likely if they do - the browns will drop a game either way and it wont matter. In fact, I think the least likely scenario to happen will, in which all the teams we need to lose, will lose, but we will lose to the Cardinals this week and blow our only chance.

I appreciate the effort and desire to see this scenario.
Browns needed that PIT game. It was the only move that allowed them to write their own ticket. They could have even be afforded a loss later, and STILL have a shot.
My best predix: Browns have a shot at winning every game BUT BAL. I think BAL is a real TEAM... and as such, is too much for this group of talented individuals to overcome. Browns have no shot if they don't win out. BAL will be their downfall.
Browns will finish 8-8. One game out of playoff consideration.

Browns are not winning this week.
Book it.
7-9 is your ceiling if they beat Cincy.
But I think we are looking at 6-10.
Hopefully that will bring a coaching change.

Our playoff scenario is moot. The way we've played we don't deserve to make the playoffs. We had our chances and blew it. We had our chance in the 2nd Pittsburgh game and played like it didn't matter. Frustrating!!

Lamar and the offense is a machine right now

That seems to fly in the face of just having a competitive spirit.

"Thanks for kicking my butt, may I have another. You're so wonderful." These guys are members of a fraternity. They are friends who compete on the job. They don't see it as we do. Many developed relationships as competitors/team mates/friends in college. Also, the NFL isn't the same as it was in the 60's/70's, when a player might spend his entire career on the same team. With FA, there's every chance that they might end up on the same team down the road. I may not have played a snap in the NFL, but I kinda get it.

I don't think it's all that hard to get. NHL hockey players do a handshake line after each playoff series. It takes a LOT to not shake someone's hand... and that's after a playoff series (playoff hockey is INTENSE).
Even in beer league, where we take it waaay too seriously, we shake hands after each game.... except for THAT guy (there's one or two in every league).
Point is, it's not that crazy for a show of respect or even admiration after you've been battling.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Do it in the runway to the locker rooms, if you must. Maybe I'm old school, but it annoys the bleep out of me to watch my team yukking it up with oppo players after getting their ass handed to them. It makes me think I care more than they do.

I get that you think the optics are less than ideal, but trust me:
you don't care more than they do. How do I know that? Easy:
It's not your paycheck/livelihood on the line. These guys want to produce and win. More wins = more money.

... you don't care more than they do. Then act like it. At least have the sensibility to hold your little love fest out of the public eye. It doesn't take much more than a room temp IQ to understand how things look. In fact, I'm sure they DO know how it looks. They're just more concerned with how fellow players view them, as opposed to the uncool, numbnut fans who invest their Sundays with them every week.

I guess it doesn't bother me in the same way it bothers you. All's cool. You ain't wrong to feel as you do. There are a million different ways to be a fan.
