At least Gilbert can see over his O-Line at 6'4, has a cannon of an arm, and is a big boy at 223. We might as well see what the kid has. Mayfield is done for the season, shut it down, he sucks. He is near last rated QB in the league, we lose NOTHING by benching Mayfield.

Sad thing is...we have a much better chance of winning this game if we put in Garret Gilbert, but we won;t because that might hurt poor Mayfields pride....we gotta coddle him remember? Mayfield has 90 yards passing on 12/19 attempts with 1 TD
Jackson has 176 yards on 12/20 for 2 TD's
Those numbers aren't even comparable. Mayfield ball been off all year, accuracy is bad, throwing behind guys, throwing high, etc...if we even had Tyrod Taylor level QB we have 9-10 wins right now, our record is pretty much totally because of Mayfield and his god awful Qb play this eyar and his god awful INTS...the guy was an INT machine the 1st 11 games of the year....

Fingers crossed that Dorsey told OBJ and Landry that Mayfield will be outta here this offseason via trade and thats why they changed their tunes...
I can't see either of those guys being happy with Mayfield after the way he has ran his mouth to play and throw as awful as he has this year yet continue to run that hole under his nose...that type of Bs wears thin REALK QUICK with guys like Landry and OBJ...I bet they see Mayfield as nothing but an arrogant punk who hasn't even had a winning season in the NFL...he will be a backup in the NFL...
