Haslam needs to reach out to Leslie Frazier after watching this Bills game. I mentioned Frazier earlier...

As the HC for the Vikings he was 3-13..10-6..5-10-1

Does look like something worth going after ?

No thanks..

Two days after New England is eliminated from the playoffs Josh McDaniels will be named The Cleveland Browns Head Coach.

I think all three of the perceived favorites (McCarthy, McDaniels, and Stefanski) will be able to help Baker. McCarthy has the credentials to develop a young QB, McDaniels knows how to adapt a scheme to best fit his personnel, and Stefanski puts players in the best position to succeed based on what they do well. All three are pretty good options.

We will end up with someone terrible.

It's a good thing JW Johnson is involved to help make a great decision.

They’re just killing time by interviewing coaches while McDaniels is off limits. Done deal, bank on it.

He's calling a pretty good game at the moment.

To watch another NE coordinator under Belechick fail?

NE always seem to have people open. Getting Baker to find them is a different story.

Nope ge already failed once and pretty much every other ne coordinator failed as a hc.

Analytics and logic says to avoid them like the plague.

the next one to succeed will be the first one.

How does a league celebrating its 100th season only recognize the 53 most recent championships?

I consider Brian Flores winning five games with that Dolphins team a success.

We need a coach with a very very low propensity for interpersonal dysfunction and unquestionable leadership qualities, discipline and organization. No one is going to be perfect of course but Cleveland, more than just about any other place, needs a rock at coach. That is just not McDaniels imo. You have to remember it IS GOING TO go into the crapper at some point during the coach’s first year. They have to be someone who can hold the team together, they have to be unflappable. I just don’t think McDaniels is that guy.

That is what the interview process is for, hopefully you weed out the guys who aren't leaders. Sometimes you hire Freddie Kitchens.

I'll be interested to see if we move up the interview date with Josh McDaniels (or if the Panthers do).

At least we don't have to wait till after the Super Bowl for Josh McDaniels to screw us like the Colts did.

The Patriots had a top tenish offense with one good skill position player and a ninety year old QB. And this was the bad year.

Perhaps Tom Brady will come along with McDaniels? He'd be a great mentor and back-up for Mayfield.

I do not think McDaniels has the temperament to be an NFL Head Coach. I could be wrong but I believe he is too intense and excitable.

My hope is we sign Mike McCarthy and hire Eliot Wolf as GM. That's why I know it won't happen. We will hire the exact wrong HC and let him hire his own GM because that always works so well(especially in Cleveland). *snicker*

Only the Browns could have screwed this up so bad. We actually had a GM that knew how to draft pretty well and wasn't afraid to take some calculated risks to improve the team ASAP. TWO years and everyone was talking about the talent influx of the Browns. We should have signed him to a ten-year deal. Instead, we run him off.

How the Titans play is how we should play going forward. Run the ball, play great D and when they start loading the box, hit them with the play-action. We have a bell-cow back in Nick Chubb and we also have Hunt. Running the ball should be what everything else feeds off of.
