You mean congress negotiated the deal even further to make it better? Because that's what happened. They didn't sit on it. They helped mold it into something better than it was first proposed. But I know you hate to give them credit for doing the job they are supposed to do.
Donald Trump, House Democrats strike deal on revised trade pact with Mexico, Canada
WASHINGTON – House Democrats and President Donald Trump struck an agreement to revise a new trade deal with Mexico and Canada, delivering a win for the president on a top legislative priority.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. announced the agreement at a news conference Tuesday morning, calling the revised trade pact "a victory for America's workers." She did not say when the House would vote on the agreement but suggested it could happen before the end of the year.
Top trade officials from the United States, Mexico and Canada are to meet in Mexico City for an afternoon ceremony, according to government schedules.
Pelosi and other Democrats said the agreement includes stronger provisions on labor, enforcement and pharmaceuticals that they sought as conditions for putting the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, or USMCA, to a vote in Congress.
Pelosi described the deal as "infinitely better" than the agreement the Trump administration proposed to Congress.

I should add - I firmly believe credit where it's due and Trump does deserve credit for keeping the economy on track. Kudos. I don't like he rails against Federal Reserve like a spoiled child on steroids. But - that's Trump I guess.
As for nearly every indicator of the economy - see graphs on links I posted - there is virtually a straight line from Obama's trend and Trumps. Strictly speaking the Dow and S&P were behind where Obama was - but it's pretty damn close.

As for the Bureau and their facts .... it's odd because for about 6 straight years all I heard from the right wing clowns and talking heads like Breitbart and Faux - was how the labor statistics were exactly that - lies. Pfft.

Like they were going to spend those tax breaks on creating more jobs? I'll believe it when I see it. I mean, those tax breaks are permanent so they will be getting another trillion this year, so 26 billion is a drop in the bucket.
