Let's face it, Bill Clinton committed perjury under oath and wasn't removed from office. Why anyone actually thought Trump would be removed from office still amazes me.
To be fair, I never thought Trump would be removed... I did and still do think there is an ultra slim chance he gets impeached by the senate.
When you get Senators taking an oath to be impartial, then turn around and admit the won't be impartial, you have a problem.
When you have the Presidents own attorney lying about who was and wasn't allowed in the SCIF in the house, you have a problem.
What makes that lie even stranger is that those senators know that anyone "on the committee(s)" in the house are allowed to be in the "SCIF" hearings... Some of them served in the house prior to becoming a senator...
Let's not even go into the members of the house that knew that Committee members are allowed in those meetings.... but were crazy enough to storm the SCIF like little children.
Now I have no idea if those that were allowed to be in there were actually there..,. But I know they had the right to be there and were allowed in... If they chose to not be there, that's their problem...
This is just another set of lies republicans keep pushing on their gullable fans like 40.

I'm rooting for intellectual honesty. I don't like Donald Trump.. I also remember when Chuckie Schumer (who was in the House in the 90s) made every attempt to block as many witnesses as he could from the Clinton impeachment trial.... now going on for hours about how unethical it is to block witnesses..

To some extent I think all politicians do lie. That does not make them all equivalent or equal. The fact that Trump and the GOP went on a campaign to deliberately lie and manipulate what you thought about the proceedings might indicate something to you if you were open to asking why was it so important to them to create this fictional narrative.
The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

1. The Democrats didn't let republicans in the house attend a secret closed door meeting, call their witnesses. What the hell was that? Do you have an answer?
2. This is part of the executive branch and privileges. Don't like it? Tough. Amend the constitution.
3. As I've said for over 3 years, all of this is a waste of time. I'm not sure what party you belong to, but you better get used to seeing Trump win in 2020. Get used to it fast because there's nothing you can do about it.
