Chiefs favored by 2.5 ... O/U is 52
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Line has moved already:
KC is -1.5 and the O/U is 54.

is that a tease on the over/under? I am thinking it actually move up before game time. Looks like it could be a blast of a game! I like the Niners.

I mostly just want to see a good, competitive, clean game. If I had to bet on the current lines (KC -1.5, O/U 54) I'd take probably take the Chiefs and the under.

It scares me when the line is that high this early ... especially if we don’t know the weather yet in southern FL

Truth be told, I picked Shanahan. See a team win. Mahomes is tough. This one is a kind of head scratcher though IMO.

If I were SF I’d do everything I could to take Kielce out of the game. The more I watch, the more I think he’s the key to limiting Mahomes

True that. Consider how many big plays and conversions "K-Gronk" provided, it would have hurt to have him out of those plays. I was really impressed with how many things he did for them. Should be a good SB.

If you look at the most dynamic offenses one thing rings true, TE's are the key and those offenses have good ones.. We don't have good ones.. I think that gets fixed. But Mahomes, you watch him play and football just seems easy to him. Its going to come down to if SF defense can slow them down. SF offense really isn't going to scare many, their defense is legit though

If I were SF I’d do everything I could to take Kielce out of the game. The more I watch, the more I think he’s the key to limiting Mahomes I have noticed and said the same thing Kelce is the key ... But didn't Tenn do that in the AFC title game? Kelce had 3 catches for 30 yards while Hill and Watkins went off (Mahomes seemed to run more when Kelce was doubled too). So, pick your poison. The Pats famously shut Hill down last year in the AFC title game and that kept KC moving the ball underneath in smaller chunks, but they were still scoring, just not as much. Of course, you still have to keep pace with KC, which NE did last year. I'm not so sure SF can keep the pace though, something Tenn failed to do. It's a common take, but if San Fran can get a lead and move the ball on the ground eating clock, they have a good chance. If KC gets a lead in the 3rd, San Fran will have to speed up and might find themselves in a shootout, which favors KC. I don't think San Fran can slow down KC, unless they have a better plan to pressure Mahomes. Tenn screwed that up in their gameplan. To me, this is KC's game to lose. If the KC O-line can protect Mahomes, they'll win easy.

KC cannot afford to get down to the Niners. If they get down a couple of scores, the Niners will run the ball down their throats, and score when the Chiefs defense wears down.

Speed kills. KC has it, 49'ers not so much.

I think it will come down to line play which IMO favors SF. I don't think KC has seen a D-line as physical as SF. On O I think SF line is better than KC D-line. SF should be able to run on KC. Mahommes won't have as much time to throw. JMO

Nobody seems to be able to lay the wood to Mahomes. He has a very Rothlesberger-like quality of being mobile, very tough and very hard to hit squarely for whatever reason. But, of course, even more mobile. As long KC is able to dictate on offense and things don’t get so disrupted that Mahomes can’t improvise with his many weapons, they win. They want to turn every game into a track meet/ arms race/ scoring sprint for both teams because they know that even if the other team scores a bunch, they don’t lose when the other team falls into that pattern. The key for SF is highly disruptive defense. Lots of confusion and overloads. They’ve got to be super physical. It doesn’t matter half as much what they do on offense, Shanahan will figure out how to put up enough points. It’s all about their D. Bosa, Sherman Ford, Buckner, et al, have to play the best game of their season. They’ve been great this season in every aspect except the against the pass. We’ll see.

I do recall re-watching highlights of Chiefs games and wondering aloud why so-and-so held back and didn't light him up. Especially in a playoff game, it's a good business decision to lay the wood on a QB that's running the ball and take whatever penalty may come your way.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
