Let's just say I and my team were pigs out there today....

Getting slaughtered.

It was hot. We gave up the run rule in all 5 innings. The run rule was 5 runs an inning. You do the math.

The other team had a no hitter going against us until I hit pop fly and they failed to call it out, and fell to the ground.

I don't even wanna discuss my pitching. I didn't have the "stuff" today..

73 pitches. 0 K's. 1 walk. Numerous and many more hits given up.

But, what is the most important game?

The next one.

Eh, reminds me of one night playing when I played Goaltender (Hockey)...

I was ill, but that doesn't matter. No excuses, just my reasoning behind it all. Our team didn't have a backup goaltender, so in I went. Didn't do too bad in the first quarter, gave up three goals while they surrendered two. In the second half, I just lost it completely. Everything I did seemed a second late, and the score at the end of the game was around 15-3. Ouch.. I measured myself after the game, I lost about 5 pounds after the game because I got so sick. Would have been nice to tell people if I didn't blow out there.

Don't get down on yourself, we all have good days and bad days, and you just got dealt the bad. Keep your head up, and don't let the game become something that it isn't. Just enjoy yourself.

I want the Cleveland Browns to be my pallbearers so they can let me down for the last time.

If it's any consolation, I was on a team that went 0-19. We lost one game 53-3, honestly. We were just terrible. I think I was the only one on the team who had ever seen a baseball.

One time, our first baseman was just about to field a ground ball and just as the ball was getting to him, he saw his mom, stood up and said "hi mom!". I wish I could say I was a lot younger, but that was a 9-10 year old team. We had one kid on the team who used to eat snacks in the outfield during the game.

And, one of the assistant coaches who kept the book used to put "F" for a strikeout for "fan."

But, the next year, we had a lot of the guys back and we ended up doing better than .500.

So, we've all been there before! You just have to keep your head up and work your hardest. It will pay off.
