What's wrong with midgets bowling?

Except OCD used the "m" word in his post too but no one is calling for him to be banned for using an epithet. Clearly OCD was using it in a different context and wouldn't deserve to be banned, but this is the stupidity of of attaching serious consequences to mere words. That stupidity is amplified when you factor in just how lopsided the issue is approached. People on the left seem to be perfectly fine with people losing entire careers over a word. Yet the same people are consistently fast and loose with calling others Nazis. They have no compunction about calling a Jew like Shapiro a Nazi. At a minimum calling a Jew a Nazi should be seen as the equivalent of calling a black person the n-word.

But like I mentioned in the Myles Garrett thread, it's not what is said, it's who is saying it.

If we're going to continue down this path of an an increasingly sensitive and emotionally fragile society, when a word is identified as "offensive" then it needs to be considered offensive no matter who uses it. And because things change, if it isn't done already, Webster needs to publish a yearly list of verbotten words along with their new words added to the dictionary list.


As far as Grossi... I never really cared for him. His radio interviews always rubbed me the wrong way. He always came off as that guy who presents himself as someone who knows something no one else knows and revels in that self importance. Only to find out he didn't really have anything other than his own opinion or feelings.

Left out dwarf tossing, like in Wolf of Wall Street, if I recall it correctly. That is offensive as well.

I think you're kind of preaching to the choir on this one. I certainly didn't call for anyone to be banned. A lot of people have used the word in this thread.

I do find it funny how the world works in this day and age though. People try to label everyone who doesn't agree with the status quo as a liberal when in fact, that's not the case.

But that's what happens when you try and lump a large group of people into a nice, convenient box.

I think that the funniest thing is Grossi calling a 6'1" QB short ....... when Grossi himself is 5'6".

I read somewhere that Grossi is a shade under 6ft.

Grossi doesn't play QB in the NFL.

One could argue that neither does Baker.

I didn't think you were a person who would promote people get fired from their jobs just for saying something stupid. If that's the case most people would be out of work.

Dropping an F Bomb on the radio might be more fireable than any of the rest. I would not fire him just for the stupid "midget" comment.

Eh, it's happened a lot. People think the mic is off when it's not. The FCC gives you a fine and you move on. It's up to the company of course. But it is kind of funny. The president can curse at his rallies and it's no bg deal. The entire nation hears that. Then a local sportscaster curses on local radio and all hell breaks loose. I find it all quite comical.

I worked for Wendy's back in the early 80s, and trained the stores in the area for breakfast. It was a great breakfast, with fresh made omelettes, pancakes, and such. The food was great, but the service times were horrible.

This new breakfast is much simpler. Anything with an egg gets a fresh cooked egg, but that can take a matter of a 40 seconds or so, so the service times aren't as bad as they once were.

I tried it right after they started this time, and it was pretty good. The biscuits were nice and flaky, and the sausage had a nice flavor with just a hint of zing to it. The breakfast potatoes are wedges that are seasoned and deep fried. They were decent.

Anyway, the food they are offering seems to be good, and also would be quick to make. That's a key in the morning, when someone stops on their way to work. It should be a success.

"Midget" is offensive to Little People. Is it fun to mock people with genetic and/or health issues?

1. it does happen a lot. The issue is not actually what he said, its that he said it at an NFL event, representing a company promoting itself as the "Home of the Cleveland Browns". I assume the Browns are not found of a guy they have had issues with in the past (he was fired for tweeting from the PD I believe) mocking their multi million dollar investment on a national broadcast.

IMO, this is why he was suspended. The midget comment was the convenient out.

Also, WKNR will need to renegotiate their radio partnership with the Browns after it expires this season.

I'm not sure I understand this statement.. Calling a Hebrew a Jew is most likely a Religious practice. Nazis killed Jews so why would someone call a Hebrew (jew ) a Nazi ?

On the other hand ..Black people call themselves a [censored] or [censored] all the time. If you want people to respect you..you got to respect your self or own race.
