The Illinois Supreme Court denied the motion to halt the case, so he’ll get his shot to tell it to the judge and everyone else. I can’t imagine their (Illinois) SC is in Trumps pocket, but you keep right on with your ridiculous banter, it’s amusing.

I didn't make a post that supported him. I never mentioned him once until the jury made a finding. And that post supported him being punished for his crimes. Try again.

This is a little more serious than the college exam deal, just due to the nature of the climate in the country. I am not going to research anything, but did his actions spark any more unrest around the country? I think that is something to at least be considered. That said, I agree it probably doesn't warrant any lengthy time spent in jail. I could see maybe 90 days or maybe double, tops, but given a day for day good conduct release where he spends half the time in a cell. He may get less. I doubt a whole lot more.

I don't see any real point in jailing the guy for a few years. I do see the guy being hauled in to civil court, possibly by more than the city of Chicago seeking restitution for time and money spent by police departments who had to beef up police actions. That is why I said I wonder if other unrest can be attributed to Smollett's goofball actions. If so, he could be in for a long expensive ride.

I will say his continued lies on the stand aren't going to help his cause when sentence is considered.

Many of us have been asking that same question about a lot of people and why we're where we are today. Others not so much. They pick and choose when they want to ask this.

No accountability for the orchestration of a Jan 6th Rally - and a speech telling his base to fight like hell or they wouldn't have a country !! LOL. Can't make that stuff up.
