There’s a EDM festival called Tomorrowland, where some of the top DJs around the world perform at in Belgium.
I went to the one in 2012, and it was insane!
So I like a lot of the underground raves and such. Wifey and I went to a rave in an underground parking garage in Prague, and it’s something I’ll never forget.
Other than that, I’ve been to a Kid Cudi concert here in the states. It was ok.

I saw Neil Diamond at the Gund circa 2003 and he was larger than life and just awesome for a 60+ year old performer. Played Sweet Carolina and the crowd were so happy and crazy he played it again back to back ... having played that song for nearly 40 years I figured that was pretty cool.
Saw Seal on the West side of Cleveland at a small community venue that probably didn't have 1000 seats. That was so unexpected and also brilliant. Probably around the same time frame give or take a year.
Love live music and firmly believe it's hard not to really enjoy nearly any band or event when you are there.
The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.
The Who is one of my favorite live bands.I saw them 4 times. Back in '89, I saw them in Cleveland and Detroit within 1 week....and got married in between the shows, lol. I have to say the best live performances I saw were by Queen in '76 and '77. Here's a live video from that era:

Back in the Day Cleveland was so lucky to have a place called " The front Row " Theater in the round .. Saw Acts like Sammy Davis jr , Lou Rawls , the Four Seasons , The Letterman , Tony Benent and so , so many others ..
I have probably seen hundreds of bands. Number one is Zepplin number two might surprise many, J Geils Band! I think Peter Wolf is still playing around I have seen him solo the guy still Rocks. If you get a chance to see him go.
I saw the Who 4 times. The last time was on their final road trip. Excellent band. Quadrophenia was one of the greatest concept albums of all-time in my opinion.
Led Zeppelin was great live.
Supertramp, CSNY, Springstein, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Queen come to mind as great live performances.
But, hands down, by the far the best I ever saw was Pink Floyd. And it ain't even close. I saw them 3 times in Ohio, once in California, and once in Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh concert was when they introduced the Wish You Were Here album and played Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety. I believe it was in June of 1975. I remember that because I had just graduated from high school. But, I might be one year off. It might have been the following year, but I don't think so.
Forty of us piled on a bus the night before the concert to travel to Pittsburgh. We were out of beer 30 minutes into the trip. The bus drive was cool and we got a lot more beer. He took the back route.......old Route 30/172 and ended up drunk, too. LOL
We slept outside the stadium the night before the concert and toured the city the day of. Met a homeless dude who called himself the "Pittsburgh Kid." Such a cool guy. I gave him money that I really could not part with.
We were all trippin.' Trails and the like. Pinkerton security would not open our gate and it got crazy. Finally got in and sprinted to the front. Had a place on the field about 35 yards from the stage. They had this huge balloon by the stage and an even bigger screen at the back of the stage. One dude says "what's that balloon thing for?" I say: "Probably something that will freak us out."
The band came on and were dressed in jeans and black t-shirts. Started off w/songs from Wish You Were Here. We hadn't heard that album before, but it was still good. There were cool videos on the giant screen. This was at a time before music videos and we never saw anything like it before. Then, they played Dark Side of the Moon.
The music and video were so synced. So unreal. If you know the album, the one part at the end of Time when the music is going up and down and the dude is laughing crazily......they had a 3D camera from a cockpit of a plant or some other flying device and it was swooping up and down in canyons. It matched the music perfectly. The music crescendos and the video show the wall of a canyon wall approaching fast. The 3D picture on the screen explodes in a fiery crash at the same exact moment the crash occurs musically and craziest thing of all................a small plane comes down on a guided wire and crashes into the huge balloon by the stage. All simultaneously!
Freaked us out.............indeed.
The rest of the show was unbelievable! Never saw another concert that even came close to that performance. Even Floyd themselves, could never reach the heights of that concert and I saw them several more times.

In grade school, as a yearly event, our 8th grade math teacher always took(parents paid) the graduating class(100-120 kids total) on a "field trip" to an opera in downtown Cleveland. Ours was Aida in 1970. Gotta say all of us kids enjoyed it. Thinking about surprising my blushing bride of going on 36yrs and taking her to one. She'd enjoy it.
Imo if you haven't, it's worth it. Something "ya gotta feel" at least once.

The most fun, energetic, and audience engaged concert I ever saw was ..... Donny Iris.
I saw him at Blossom, opening for Hall and Oates. Hall and Oates made a poor decision in opening acts though, because he had the crowd going nuts, and then they came out and just sucked the energy out of the audience. Hall and Oates put on a quality show, but after Donny Iris and the cruisers, it was about as moving as listening to an album.

I know this may sound like a strange selection considering all of the concerts I've been to, but the ZZ Top Fandango tour was electrifying. Blues, rock and intensity all rolled into one.
Steve Winwood was also an excellent show.

Sometimes magic happens. The band is primed. The audience ready. And then some kind of communion happens.
The Fox theater in Atlanta has great acoustics.
I have seen many shows there Sringsteen incredible live performer.
But one night I saw the Dead there. I have never heard a band play better together. So tight. The quality of the sound was perfect. They are not "show" performers they just play.
