I think that this head coach values RBs greatly.

I would agree with this.

Unless Stefanski values them very little, I would not agree with this at all.

Browns is the Browns

Hunt has proved so far that he's one notch above Josh Gordon....he might not even be able to play if he can't stay on the straight and narrow....hope he can....GO Browns

If we didn't also have Nick Chubb I would change my tune.

I think Stefanski values them in his offense, sure. I think the FO doesn't value them as much as other positions when it comes to contracts.

Remember these comments when Berry makes Chubb the highest paid RB next offseason.

It's great. But a second round pick is better. It's not like we can't replace Hunt if he is signed.

Running backs are not hard to find. We could sign a guy like Jordan Howard for like one year and $4 million.

In the end it probably won't matter. The rest of the league has devalued running backs and I doubt anyone is giving up a second round pick for Hunt and signing him to a long term deal.

This is where I completely disagree. RBs like Chubb and Hunt are not easy to find. Their skill is just a little bit better than everyone else and we have them both. Get good players, keep good players. The value game is important, I get it, but sometimes things are simple too and this organization always over thinks things.

I haven't seen Joe Schobert's name come up anywhere today. My bet is that his agent is waiting for Cory Littleton to set the market. If there is any chance for Schobert to come back we need Littleton to get less money than expected.

If you want to see people jumping off the ledge, go to the Texans message board.

Yikes.

If I read correctly, it's basically Hopkins for Johnson and a 2nd rounder, with a swap of 4th round picks.

That's still aggravated robbery for the Cardinals. crazy

j/c:

I get that some people have a different mindset on value, but a second round pick is not more valuable than Hunt.

I can think of two good ones in recent years. Bitonio and Chubb.

I can think of four bad ones in recent years. Austin Corbett? Kizer? Ogbah? Orchard?

I don't think that is such a sure thing. While Hunt does have the character concerns, he is undeniably a great back. He is actually a better all-around back than Chubb. I am not dissing Chubb and he is my favorite player on the team. But Hunt is a much better blocker and a better receiver.

Don't throw him away for a question mark.

Could not agree more. Even an average mid 2nd rounder is at least 30% crapshoot. Hunt is 100% good / bordering elite RB. There may be a time and a place, and a lot may be based on our inside scrutiny of character issues, but no way in hell he goes to the Ravens, Chiefs or Steelers. Not on my watch lol.

I think placing a second round tender on him suggests otherwise.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Former Browns’ S Eric Murray reached agreement with the Houston Texans on a three-year deal worth up to $20.25 million, per source.

That's a bummer, especially after releasing Burnett.

Another major signing in the works for the Browns?

O’Brien has certainly not had a popular day

He is, but that is a loss for the Browns. Especially after they cut Burnett.

I said it before FA started, but I would have rolled w/Burnett and Murray as our SS and dime guys.

I think the issue comes down to what you think the likelihood Hunt gets suspended again is.

If he doesn't get suspended then he is much more valuable than a 2nd round pick.
If he does, then a 2nd is more valuable

Unfortunately, we won't know the answer for a few years
