I thought Cam might end up in Chicago. That's over now that the Bears traded for Foles.

not surprising, but Chicago must really hate Trubisky lol
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

so far, the QB switching teams are as follows..
Tom Brady - From NE to TB Philip Rivers - From LAC to IND Teddy Bridgewater - From NO to CAR Marcus Mariotta - From TEN to LV Raiders Nick Foles - From JAC to CHI Case Keenum - From WAS to CLE (as backup) Chase Daniels - From CHI to DET (as backup)
Jamison Winston - seeks to be traded Cam Newton - Seeks to be traded
Andy Dalton - IMO, will only get traded if right deal comes thru, can see Mike Brown keeping him as the #1 for another year and letting Joe Burrow sit.
Jacoby Briskett - currently in IND (may stay put since Rivers only signed for 1 yr)
Drew Brees signed 2 yr extension (stays put)

Anytime i hear Vinny and the browns I remember what a good friend of mine said when we acquired I think it was Andre Rison ... he said: Having Rison on your team as a WR and having Vinny as your QB would be like dating the playmate of the year and not having a penis ... I’m just now starting to be able to *L* at that ...

Brady - Patriots Rivers - Indianapolis Garoppolo - San Francisco Bridgewater - Tampa Bay Tannehill - Tennessee Newton - Chargers Foles - Backup somewhere Trubisky - Bears starter on a short leash Mariota - Raiders Flacco - Retired Winston - Saints Brissett - Not Indianapolis Dalton - Bears
I will get all of these correct. Nailed it so far. Still 100%. Amazing.

Dalton is signed through this season, at $17.5 million, and a $200k workout bonus. He is a free agent next season. The Bengals can get out of his contract at no cap hit, or cam trade him as well.

Thank you. I didn't realize that about Dalton. Winston is a FA, or do I have that wrong, too?

Yeah. The Bucs could have franchised him, but obviously, they went in a different direction.

Who's joking?
I'd be shocked if Trubisky starts over Foles.
I think Trubisky is awful.

--Hoyer signed on the cheap in NE. Almost certainly a back-up who is familiar w/McDaniels' offense and can help mentor Stidham if the Pats roll the dice w/the youngster.
--No word on Cam yet.
--Looks like no one is going to trade for Dalton. I think he is due to be paid $17 million this year. But, I may have misheard.
--Wonder what the Chargers are going to do at qb?
--Brisset might end up staying in Indy. They have a lot of money tied up in their two QBs.

I bet LA Chargers have a few thoughts:
- sign Cam and match him with Tyrod to run the similar offense tailored to them - draft their FQB (Herbert, Love, Tua)
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

A run on QBs would be great.
We know Tua and Burrows will go top 5 but My hope is Herbert and Love will also go early with teams moving up to get them.
What if the last is there when we pick do we take the Trade offer???
Carousel might be great for us. Miami, Carolina and Chargers all ahead of us in the draft: Cool I think there is a good shot that 4 QBs will go before our pick!!! Very Cool
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!

Most of you have heard this, but I'm posting it to keep the thread up-to-date. The Panthers have released Cam Newton.
I think it is a big deal that no team was willing to trade for him.

I know it ... Kyle Allen nets a 5th rounder, Cam Newton gets cut

The answer lies in his contract. No team was willing to take that on.

The answer lies in his contract. No team was willing to take that on. Still... He's a legit starting-QB level talent.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

I think it is a big deal that no team was willing to trade for him. I think it is more about not being able for team doctors to check him

How many starting QBs are better than a healthy Cam Newton? But that's the issue. Cam Newton can't stay healthy. Not if he wants to play effectively

Both his foot and shoulder are fully healed. I'm taking Cam Newton over: Matt Ryan Josh Allen Teddy Bridgewater Mitch Trubisky/Nick Foles Andy Dalton Baker Mayfield Drew Locke Matthew Stafford Philip Rivers Gardner Minshew Derek Carr Tyrod Taylor Jared Goff Ryan Fitzpatrick Jarrett Stidham/Brian Hoyer Daniel Jones Jimmy Garoppolo Ryan Tannehill Dwayne Haskins And he's a free agent. That's crazy. Guys like him almost never reach free agency and it seems like no one wants him. The Patriots seem like a very logical destination but they only have $3,412,166 in cap space.

BB could talk him into signing for vet minimum for 1 year and leave Carolina on the hook for all it's guarantees while giving Cam a shot at a SB. Not serious but I could see Patriots pulling off the deal.
