So the COVID thread is booming and it seems to be the driving topic of conversation for all us in our daily lives. Music is an escape from all the noise. While we may all have different tastes in music we all use music to help effect changes in our moods. Whatever that desired mood may be. So here I’m asking us all to post uplifting songs that remind us of the good in each other, or that lift your mood when you’re feeling down. Any songs are welcome... secular or religious... though let’s try to keep the thread focused on the music.
Here’s my offering. Great lyrics about how we have it in us to be better. To rise out of hard times. Nahko and Medicine for the People...
After the events on Sept. 11, 2001 they took a whole boatload of songs off the radio, including one I particarly like, just for its rhythm and sound. "Sky high" or they've blown it all sky high, something, from way-y back,
I wish people wouldn't post twitter, I can't see it.
I thought about Rick Rolling you above ..... but didn't.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.

I'm being a rule breaker, I know, but my recently retired brother posted a song on youtube - I won't post it due to some minor language issues.......Box of Frogs - "Poor Boy"
I would have some other uplifting songs. May post them later.
This post will probably cement my legacy as a sentimental geek, but I love this song. It's powerful. It makes you want to fight for a better life. And this version is being performed by the dude w/perhaps the greatest natural voice in the history of the freaking universe!!! Listen all the way through and tell me you don't get goosebumps!
Songs that uplift, for the 0% of the population of social outcasts that can identify, I'll suggest "as uplifting" and if you don't get it, you just don't, don't try, this is not for all ya'll cool people. Uplifting.
"Strange" "No Rain" Blind Melon, and " Runaway Train" "Torn" Natalie Umbrig&*^;ia " He(ck) is for children" Pat Benotar,
Oh, others come to mind. Is there a Metalica song about a flatlineing guy, guy in a coma. Hmm, what a thread.
In these times of political unrest, economic fragility, and the virus exposing our unstable footing in this ball of confusion.............this masterpiece provides an understated, introspective hope to a better world.

I keep thinking about the nurses and doctors that are risking their lives every day, and the Springsteen Song "Into the Fire" comes to mind.
Except the Fire is every day with no end in sight.
There will be no playoffs. Can’t play with who we have out there and compounding it with garbage playcalling and worse execution. We don’t have good skill players on offense period. Browns 20 - Bears 17.
