I'm looking for some mutual funds by strong fund managers. Not just any... the ones that have taken the worst beating over the past 30 days.
Anyone with a suggestion on how I can find these?
What a great day, I can't believe I was selling and taking profits after this debacle!
If you have a 401k I would suggest you look thru their funds to see what got pummeled. Fidelity, Prudential, Vanguard and others have excellent managers in some of their funds that got hammered.
You better be careful. This is a bounce due to the potential stimulus package.
This doesn’t guarantee economic activity in the future. Only a curve to The virus cases and deaths will.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

Actually, I don't need to be careful as I have developed "Rules" for investing over nearly 50 years of doing it.
That is why I was taking profits today on the toe dipping I did the last two weeks.
If the market crashes tomorrow, I will use those profits to dip another toe. If it continues to go up in a recovery, I can buy it all back with only the loss of a few bucks while I was sitting on those profits.

See - you and your kind are the problem. Employers willingly and knowingly hiring cheap illegal labor, driving the demand for them, inspiring them to break the law and enter the USA illegally .... we need to lock folks like you up.

The more things change the more they stay the same.
Who is willing to die to save the economy right now? Peen said he would rather die than be broke and that made me wonder who else feels that being broke or facing a depression is worse than dying right now, today?
The challenge with such statements is that the people who are saying them have not had anyone close to them get sick or die... it is a statistical or hypothetical discussion best held in a classroom or bar...
When someone around you gets sick or dies quickly of a disease, the economic discussion becomes overtaken by grief.

Of course.
This Market Discussion Thread was meant to be a distraction from the day to day Virus news.
I put it in the Political Forum so we nasty folks could also vent without getting banned.

I understand, but when you have political figures stating that they are willing to die to keep the economy going, the lines become blurred.
No one really knows where this is going, hopefully the social/physical distancing measure will begin to have a positive effect. But to put any end date on this is not realistic. Even with the best measure, there is still a lot of people working or visiting place that are "essential services"
He is showing us a light exists at the end of this tunnel.
He may not be able to stick to his Easter goal but it offers hope.
It also serves to tell us we can not shut down this Nation to the point it dies because there are future generations of Americans who are counting on us to save her.
A time is coming when there are plenty of respirators, masks, hand sanitizers, and treatments for everyone.
We will return to work, maintain our distances and other protocols.
If you get sick, you will go to the doctor for treatment and then go home. If you worsen, you will go to the hospital and have a respirator available to get you through.
The sad part is that you make excuses for terrible leadership and the American people being lied to on a daily basis. there's no excuse or label to excuse that.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
Sure that time is coming. But someone telling us it will be by Easter is crazy talk.
You do realize every time he sets some imaginary, fake timeline, that it will create even more panic when it does not come to pass, right? Of course you do.
Fortunately most of us know he's just spewing BS like usual.
