Love Andrew Thomas. Would be a great pick.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Love this guy we could trade down a little and get him, he would be the best ILB we have had in many many years ...
Kenneth Murray*, ILB/OLB, Oklahoma Height: 6-2. Weight: 238. Arm: 32.75. Hand: 9.5. 40 Time: 4.52. Projected Round (2020): 1. 3/21/20: Murray ran fast in the 40 at the combine, but he also pulled a hamstring and didn't finish the workout. Teams say he interviewed well and is all football with great character and work ethic.
Murray is a fast and physical linebacker who flies around the field and is always around the ball. He is put together well and a good tackler. Murray can make mistakes from being overly aggressive and over-pursuing on some plays, but he is a heat-seeking missile who has generated a big buzz in the scouting community for being a future three-down starter and difference-maker. Murray is a sideline-to-sideline run defender, good in zone coverage, covers a lot of ground in pass defense, and is a dangerous blitzer. He reminds this evaluator of a young Thomas Davis. In 2019, Murray had 102 tackles with four sacks and four passes batted.
6/29/19: Murray was a tackling machine for the Sooners in 2018 and was one of the nation's leaders with 155 stops. He also added 12.5 tackles for a loss with two passes batted. As a freshman, Murray had 78 tackles with 7.5 for a loss.

No way is he better than Schobert. Last year Schobert had 133 tackles, 4 INT, 2 sacks, 9 passes defensed, and 6.5 tackles for loss. Last year Goodson had 37 tackles, NO INT, NO sacks, NO passes defensed, and NO tackles for loss. There is no way he's an upgrade over Schobert. He's a 1st down ILB, and maybe, situationally, a 2nd down LB. There is no way he's on the field on obvious passing downs. That would be suicidal for our defense.

If we Draft a LT at #10 This is the Guy I want....
ANDREW THOMAS OT, Georgia
CONF SEC #71 Junior HT 6'5" WT 320 lbs
ANALYST'S REPORTS
MarinoHarrisCrabbsReid
Run Blocking - Powerful worker in the run game. Does well to unlock his hips, accelerate his feet and create movement. Lethal working combos and down blocking. Long, physical and aggressive when pushing around SEC defensive linemen.
Pass Blocking - Love how he brings the fight in pass protection. Has exciting moments of framing blocks, leveraging his hips and keeping rushers at the end of his reach. There are times with twitchier rushers where he can give up a step and he gets top heavy when recovering, leaving his feet behind. Has some erratic moments reaching his set points, particularly on vertical sets and he fails to get enough depth. Has some room for growth but his peaks are outstanding and he has the physical gifts to improve.
Blocking in Space - Only average on pulls/climbs. Can get better with the angles he takes releasing into space so he can more consistently connect with moving targets. If he lands his punch on back seven defenders, it’s game over.
Power - Outstanding power throughout his frame. Executes with good leverage and posture to maximize his functional strength. Punches are heavy and violent. Does well to absorb power and anchor in pass pro when he gets squared up. Rarely loses a rep on account of a lack of strength.
IQ - Experienced executing pro concepts and techniques. Has been challenged with a variety of pass sets. Aware and alert in pass protection. Keeps his head on a swivel and comes off/pass off blocks as needed. Timing is generally precise and he has a strong understanding of his role within the play.
Feet - Has the foot speed needed to win. I wouldn’t call him an explosive mover and he can struggle to keep pace up the arc with speed off the edge so cleaning up his pass sets is necessary. Has to be more consistent with his feet when rushers gain a step instead of being so reliant on his upper body to recover. Love how he keeps his feet engaged in the run game.
Hands - Does a wonderful job of playing with extension and winning with first contact. Does well to place and fit his hands. Timing and location of his punch is precise. Delivers powerful punches that stun pads.
Balance - Has some lapses with body control. Base can narrow and he gets top heavy at times in pass protection. Contact power and balance is generally outstanding in the run game. Easily absorbs power, leverages his hips and showcases a sturdy anchor.
Versatility - Profiles as a left tackle at the next level, ideally in a power scheme. May have some challenges in a vertical passing offense where deeper drops from the quarterback are frequent until he cleans up his pass sets.
BEST TRAIT - Power
WORST TRAIT - Footwork
RED FLAGS - None
NFL COMP - Ronnie Stanley
A three-year starter at left tackle for Georgia, Thomas enters the NFL experienced in a pro scheme and executing against the best opponents college football has to offer. As a run blocker, Thomas is outstanding and profiles as an immediate impact blocker in that regard. With that said, there is a need for growth with his footwork in pass protection to develop consistency handling speed. There may be some lowlights early on as he irons out his technique but Thomas has all the gifts needed to become a high quality left tackle in the NFL.

I liked Schobert (Pass defense) but most of his tackles came 3-5 yards downfield, now maybe that was because of the poor DT play but this kid attacks the LOS and thats what I like about him JMHO

We'll see. I think that we'll miss Schobert badly by the end of the coming season. (whenever that is)

(whenever that is) Murray is also excellent in coverage: From Walterfootball.com Kenneth Murray was co-Defensive Freshman of the Year in the Big XII, thriving in coverage for the Sooners. He broke an Oklahoma record for tackles in a game with 28. Murray has excellent instincts and has great speed and athleticism for coverage. I believe we will miss Schobert's Leadership the most ...

Are you suggesting we take him at 10 .... trade down and take him .... or trade up from the 2nd to get him?

I am speculating we get Williams from Washington first, then we could do any of the 3 depending on how much we really liked him, and by the looks of most projections we could possibly trade with Miami for #18 and #26 and be able to get him plus another starter ...

I am curious as to what analytics says about 1st round ILB? I seem too recall that they are not valued there.

I am curious as to what analytics says about 1st round ILB? I seem too recall that they are not valued there. I checked cbssports.com Mock Drafts just to get an Idea of where some mocks have Murray projected and there were 6 Mocks 1 had him outside Rd. #1 1 had him #28, #24, #20, #18 and #15 so that's mid - to late first hats why I said if we acquire Williams and Miami wants to jump to #10 I would take their #18 and #26 that's all I'm saying just speculating ...

NFL Draft 2020: Buyer beware on D'Andre Swift, Justin Jefferson and these other top prospects - CBSSports.com https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news...-top-prospects/Whenever the 2020 NFL Draft begins, a small collection of early-round picks will get selected much earlier than where I would draft them, for a variety of reasons. I'm not labeling any of the below prospects as absolutely guaranteed to bust, they're just the most risky propositions who could still land somewhere on Day 1 or Day 2. In my estimation, they'll have a difficult time living up to their draft positions. Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma Why: Inexperience in coverage Murray has top-15 caliber athleticism at 6-foot-2 and 241 pounds with 4.52 speed. Everything about him from a physical profile gets a giant, bold check mark. As for production, Murray is a stud too. After 68 tackles as a freshman, he registered 155 tackles as a sophomore with 12.5 tackles for loss before 102 tackles and 17 tackles for loss in 2019 for the Sooners. If this was 2010, Murray would probably be viewed as highly (if not more so) than Isaiah Simmons. Seriously. But in today's NFL, linebackers must be able to cover. And it's not that I know Murray can't do it, I just didn't see him do it at Oklahoma. Like ever. Second- or third-rounders almost always have incomplete elements to their skill sets. With first-round picks, you want as few of those as possible. Murray being green in coverage instantly raises a red flag for him as a probable first-round linebacker. He has six pass breakups over the past two seasons and did not record an interception during his time at Oklahoma. Beyond the elementary statistics, Murray almost never was told to turn and sink in zone coverage. Blitzing or spying the quarterback represented his main duties on pass plays. And he is going to have to turn and run in the NFL as a rookie. All that equates to why I'm sticking a buyer-beware label on Murray in Round 1. However, Murray's candidacy as a first-round pick deserves a team-specific caveat. If he were to land with the Baltimore Ravens, he'd be in a unique situation that'd likely accentuate his talents (athleticism, blitzing, and QB-spying) while masking his coverage rawness. According to Sports Info Solutions, the Ravens sent five rushers on 34% of their snaps in 2019, the highest rate in football, and blitzed with two extra rushers 11% of the time, the second-highest figure in the NFL. Murray, utilized as a blitz-specialist on passing plays, would likely lead to Baltimore having legitimate justification for taking him in the first round. The Steelers (33%) and the Buccaneers (29%) were second and third respectively in five-man blitz rate last season but both took a linebacker in Round 1 in 2019.

I see him as a DE for us a 4-3 D good explosion would be pushed around in the run game but then again his speed could counter act that if he penetrates with Discipline!

I think that with an analytics based front office, we will prioritize LT, CB, QB, or pass rusher in the 1st round, until and unless we have these all well filled, and have a single crying need at a different position.

My Top 3 OTs were gone by 10, so traded back with Minn to get their two 1st and a 3rd. Traded back in the 2nd round to get another 3rd rounder.
Your score is: 36698 (GRADE: B+)
Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 22 (MINN): Xavier McKinney, SS/FS, Alabama (A) Round 1 Pick 25 (MINN): Grant Delpit, FS/SS, LSU (A) Round 2 Pick 14 (DEN): Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor (A-) Round 3 Pick 10: Prince Tega Wanogho, OT, Auburn (A+) Round 3 Pick 19 (DEN): Cam Akers, RB, Florida State (A) Round 3 Pick 33 (COMP): Jordyn Brooks, ILB, Texas Tech (A+) Round 3 Pick 41 (MINN): Jalen Hurts, QB, Oklahoma (A+) Round 4 Pick 9: Larrell Murchison, DT, NC State (A+) Round 6 Pick 8: Thaddeus Moss, TE, LSU (A+) Round 7 Pick 30: Tyler Clark, DT/DE, Georgia (B+)

I think that with an analytics based front office, we will prioritize LT, CB, QB, or pass rusher in the 1st round, until and unless we have these all well filled, and have a single crying need at a different position. Safety and LB are much bigger needs than another CB imo...

I think that it is funny how analytics gets so much criticism for trading down yet in almost all of the mock drafts posted here that dawgtalkers have done, they trade down.
Am I perfect? No Am I trying to be a better person? Also no

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I’ve wondered where Hurts will end up. My guess: in Baltimore
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
