These idiots are seriously on my last nerves. Carrying signs saying 'we will not comply'... Yesterday i watched a guy try to go in the exit door of Walmart while people were standing in line in the rain following distancing guidelines. Then when the worker doing her job asked him to get in line, he cussed her out, crossed under tape dividing lanes and cut in front of all the people in line walking on into the store while saying at the top of his voice "You effin stupid ass people are taking this crap way too far"... I guess he needed his walmart goodness enough to risk lives. IDIOTS.

Look, I have no issue with people wanting to get back to work, but I'll be damned if I'm going to let stupidity rule my life. It's getting to the point that they are going to get the fight they are looking for for putting me and mine at risk. Nah, it's one thing for you to go practice your hold my beer life with like minded dumbasses, but you bring that crap into my life and we are going to scrap.

Let's recap the past few days shall we?

At the beginning of the week.....

“For the purpose of creating conflict and confusion, some in the Fake News Media are saying that it is the Governors decision to open up the states, not that of the President of the United States & the Federal Government. Let it be fully understood that this is incorrect,” Trump tweeted Monday morning."

“It is the decision of the President, and for many good reasons. With that being said, the Administration and I are working closely with the Governors, and this will continue,” Trump continued. “A decision by me, in conjunction with the Governors and input from others, will be made shortly!”

Then later in the week......

"I'm not going to put pressure on any governor to open," the president said in an about-face from his remarks on Monday.

"I will be authorizing each individual governor, of each individual state, to implement a reopening and a very powerful reopening plan of their state in a time and a manner as most appropriate," Trump said. "Because certain states are in much different condition and in a much different place than other states."

"The federal government will be watching them very closely and will be there to help in many different ways," he said, adding: "The governors are going to be opening up their states. They're going to declare when. They're going to know when. Some can open very, very shortly."

Then we have the guidelines that Trump gave all 50 states. Let's look at the very first phase qualifications, shall we?

A downward trajectory of influenza-like illnesses and COVID-19 syndromic cases reported within a 14-day period.
A downward trajectory of documented cases or positive tests as a percent of total tests, within a 14-day period.
Hospitals are treating patients without crisis care and have a robust testing program in place for at-risk healthcare workers, including emerging antibody testing.

Once states meet these criteria, Trump recommends that they begin the first stage of lifting the lock down.

Then the very next day, he supports protestors calling for an end to lock downs in three states that do not even qualify under the very guidelines he himself put in place the very day before.

He decided to use the virus to help spread social unrest, chaos and civil disobedience.

His supporters don't care. They think it's fine for him to set guidelines one day and then support protestors that wish to break the very guidelines he set the day before just to create chaos in swing states.

Why Trump supporters are protesting state lockdowns

From Michigan to Ohio and Texas, both Democratic and Republican governors are being challenged by protestors who claim a forced lockdown infringes on their constitutional rights.

While many Americans are filled with fear, Melissa Ackison says the coronavirus pandemic has filled her with anger. The stay-at-home orders are government overreach, the conservative Ohio state Senate candidate says, and the labeling of some workers as "essential" arbitrary.

"It enrages something inside of you," said Ms. Ackison, who was among those who protested Republican Gov. Mike DeWine's orders at the statehouse in Columbus with her 10-year-old son. She has "no fear whatsoever" of contracting the virus, she said Thursday, dismissing it as hype.

The Ohio protest was among a growing number staged outside governors' mansions and state Capitols across the country. In places like Oklahoma, Texas, and Virginia, small-government groups, supporters of President Donald Trump, anti-vaccine advocates, gun rights backers, and supporters of right-wing causes have united behind a deep suspicion of efforts to shut down daily life to slow the spread of the coronavirus. As their frustration with life under lockdown grows, they've started to openly defy the social distancing rules in an effort to put pressure on governors to ease them.

Some of the protests have been small events, promoted via Facebook groups that have popped up in recent days and whose organizers are sometimes difficult to identify. Others are backed by groups funded by prominent Republican donors, some with ties to Mr. Trump. The largest so far, a rally of thousands that jammed the streets of Lansing, Michigan, on Wednesday, looked much like one of the president's rallies – complete with MAGA hats or Trump flags – or one of the tea party rallies from a decade ago.

The signs of frustration come as Mr. Trump has pushed for easing stay-at-home orders and tried to look ahead to restarting the economy. He unveiled a framework for governors to follow on Thursday, but acknowledged the governors will have the final say on when their state is ready. Health experts have warned that lifting restrictions too quickly could result in a surge of new cases of the virus.

But the president and some of his supporters are impatient. Thousands of people in their cars packed the streets of Lansing to protest Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's stay-at-home order and other restrictions. Outside the Capitol, some chanted "Lock her up," a throwback to Mr. Trump's calls during the 2016 election about his rival Hillary Clinton.

Asked about the protesters, Mr. Trump on Thursday expressed sympathy with their frustration – "They're suffering ... they want to get back" – and dismissed concerns about the health risks of ignoring state orders and potentially exposing themselves to the virus.

"I think they're listening. I think they listen to me," he said. "They seem to be protesters that like me and respect this opinion, and my opinion's the same as just about all of the governors. Nobody wants to stay shut."

Polls show the protesters' views are not widely held. An AP-NORC survey earlier this month found large majorities of Americans support a long list of government restrictions, including closing schools, limiting gatherings, and shuttering bars and restaurants.

Three-quarters of Americans backed requiring people to stay in their homes. And majorities of both Democrats and Republicans gave high marks for the state and city governments.

But the protests expose resilient partisan divisions, particularly in battleground Michigan. The protest there was organized by the Michigan Conservative Coalition, a group founded by a pro-Trump state representative and his wife, Meshawn Maddock, who is on the advisory board for an official Trump campaign group called "Women for Trump" and is also the co-founder of Michigan Trump Republicans. Their daughter is a field organizer for the Michigan Republican Party.

Another group that promoted the event, the Michigan Freedom Fund, is run by Greg McNeilly, a longtime political adviser to the DeVos family, who are prolific Republican donors and have funded conservative causes across the state for decades. Mr. McNeilly was campaign manager for Dick DeVos, the husband of current United States' Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, during his failed bid for governor in 2006. The group, which does not have to disclose its donors, raised over $4 million in 2018, according to its most recent tax statements.

Ms. Whitmer was among the governors who expressed concern about the gatherings, saying it put people at risk and could have prolonged the shutdown. Michigan had recorded more than 2,000 deaths from COVID-19 as of Thursday, and close to 30,000 confirmed cases of people infected with the virus. Roughly one-quarter of the state's workforce has filed for unemployment.

But it's not just Democratic governors feeling the heat. A procession of cars swarmed around the Republican-dominated statehouse in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, with messages written on windows or signs that said "stop killing our economy," "we need our church," and "time 2 work."

Carol Hefner, who previously served as an Oklahoma co-chair of Mr. Trump's 2016 campaign, was a major organizer of the event.

Ms. Hefner, whose husband is part of the Hefner Energy empire and currently operates a company that makes Argentinian meat sauce, differentiated it from many of the others, characterizing it as a "rally" rather than a protest.

"We're not New York. Their problems are not our problems," Ms. Hefner said. "We are rallying around our governor and our state to encourage the opening up of our businesses and the restoration of our state in a timely fashion."

Other gatherings have links to fringe groups. A protest Thursday in the Texas capital of Austin, where protesters chanted "Free Texas" and "Make America Free Again," was broadcast live by InfoWars TV, part of a company owned by conspiracy theorist and radio host Alex Jones.

The Ohio event earlier this week brought together a collection of anti-vaccine advocates, Second Amendment supporters, tea party activists, and other anti-government activists. A Columbus Dispatch photo of Ms. Ackison and other protesters yelling through glass doors of the statehouse rocketed around the internet.

Ms. Ackison said that while she views Mr. DeWine's efforts as constitutional overreach, she would be fine if Mr. Trump were to act with similar authority to force governors to bring the states back on line.

"As patriots, we put President Trump in office for a reason," she said. "If he's not able to give a convincing enough argument to these governors that they need to open up, then he needs to do something to take action."

The protests were advertised on Facebook by groups such as Reopen Virginia and End the Lockdown PA. A protest in Richmond, Virginia, on Thursday grew out of a conversation in the Facebook group Virginians for Medical Freedom, organizer Gary Golden said.

The group often turns out at the Capitol in Richmond to oppose vaccine-related measures.

Kelly Mullin, who stood near a "don't tread on me" flag spread on the grass near the governor's mansion, said she brought her sons to the event to teach them a lesson about liberty.

Ms. Mullin said that she thought the risk posed by the coronavirus depends on an individual's health and that people can take basic steps to protect themselves, including getting enough sleep, eating organic produce, and getting outside.

"I mean, that's where our tax dollars should be going. Eat broccoli," she said.

Infectious-disease specialists say there is no evidence that eating specific foods can prevent or kill the virus.

Protesters calling for end to coronavirus shutdown are ‘modern-day Rosa Parks’ says Trump advisor

Stephen Moore has come under fire in the past for making inappropriate comments about race

A member of Donald Trump’s task force to reopen America’s economy has compared protesters calling for an end to coronavirus shutdowns to the civil rights icon Rosa Parks.

Stephen Moore, a conservative economist and longtime advisor to the president, made the comparison to three different news outlets as small-scale protests spread across the country.

“I think there’s a boiling point that has been reached and exceeded,” Mr Moore, who has been outspoken in his desire to relax stay-at-home orders, told the Washington Post.

“I call these people the modern-day Rosa Parks — they are protesting against injustice and a loss of liberties,” Mr Moore said of the protesters. He made similar remarks to the New York Times and CBS News.

Protests calling for an end to stay-at-home orders have broken out in a number of state capitals across the US in the past week, in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Minnesota, North Carolina and Utah - states led by both Republican and Democratic governors. Mr Trump had given his tacit support to the protesters.

“When you look at what they’ve been through, when you look at all of the death and all of the problems and all of the sickness, when you look at what’s happened, I just think the American people have been incredible,” he said at a White House briefing on Friday.

“They seem to be protesters that like me and respect this opinion, and my opinion is just the same as about all of the governors. They all wanna open – nobody wants to stay shut, but they wanna open safely,” he added.

Mr Moore, who wrote a book called ‘Trumponomics’ on the economic policies of the president and was considered to sit on the board of the Federal Reserve in the Trump administration, has come under fire in the past for making controversial comments about race.

"There's that great cartoon going along, that The New York Times headline: 'First thing Donald Trump does as President is kick a black family out of public housing,'" Mr Moore said at a 2016 event shortly after Trump's election. "And it has Obama leaving the White House. I mean, I just love that one."

One of the largest of the protests, organised by a hard-right grassroots group called the Michigan Conservative Coalition, saw crowds of people tote guns and block the state capital’s streets to demand stay-at-home orders be lifted.

Thousands assembled outside of the Michigan state capitol building on 15 April, many displaying firearms and wearing “Make America Great Again” hats or waving Trump flags.

They claim Michigan's lockdown has gone too far and say they are “fed up” with Democratic governor Gretchen Whitmer’s “radical, progressive agenda”, which they say has allowed “dope stores” to stay open while small businesses remain closed.

Michigan is one of the hardest-hit states in the US, with nearly 30,000 cases and more than 2,000 deaths confirmed so far. Governor Whitmer has become something of a bete noire on the right since she imposed some of the country’s strongest social distancing orders, which members of the protest group have described as “tyranny”.

Ms Parks, often described as the mother of the civil rights movement, sparked a nationwide movement when she refused to give up her seat to a white man on a Montgomery, Alabama bus in 1955, violating US segregation laws.

What is up with CNN? It's become the Cuomo News Network. Every time I look at it, Andrew's on bragging about how many people they've tested and reviewing stats....and sometimes Chris repeatedly rehashing what it was like to be diagnosed. During the brief breaks from Cuomo, I've seen Sean Penn, Robert DeNiro and Magic Johnson (all over the last 24hrs) telling us how to deal with the crisis. Every once in a while, they'll give Dr. Gupta some air time. He's the only one that offers anything useful. Outside of the local channels, I haven't watched much of other national news and I'm stuck watching a lot of CNN. My wife controls the TV.

When Trump announced his travel ban - [1] it wasn't a complete lock down [2] history and the scientist say travel bans do little to prevent the spread of pandemics [3] it was already here ... if there were "15 cases" that we knew of it means there were hundreds, probably 1,000's already here.
