What a PUNK !!! wearing Yankee gear to the Jake !!!!!! The least he could say on TV is that he was divided. This changes my whole view of him.I'm not a Cavs fan but I will never ever root for him in any capacity ever.Maybe he and Jeter have a little Brokeback going on LOL.

Man, a little extreme over a baseball cap and alliance.

At least he doesn't let peer-pressure tell him what he should do and who he should root for.

I don't see why you're upset about who LeBron James cheers for. Why would you care?

I hate the Yankees. I hate the Yankees with a passion for which I hate no other team in any sport. I hate the Yankees more than 90% of the Red Sox fans I know. However, last night when I heard LeBron was at the Jake in an Indians cap, my first reaction wasn't surprise or anything. My only concern was what time training camp was for him today and if he'd be out too late. Luckily, the Indians allowed him to go home early with that display they had.

Peter Gammons ripped into LeBron this morning on Mike & Mike, mentioning how desperate he must be for attention to do something like that.

Sounds like Peter Gammons was desperate for something to talk about.

Gammons was asked his opinion on Mike & Mike. Don't knock Gammons. That's a half-step below Yankee fan in my book. You know, Steeler fan levels...

Knocking Gammons. Gammons is a baseball (reporting) God to me. I met him in Detroit a few years ago when I went up for a Tigers/Indians game. He was at the hotel restaurant. I approached, said hello, and he talked to me for a good ten minutes. He's a great guy, IMO.

Honestly, I don't care about LeBron wearing a cap that much. I didn't like that he went to the game with it, but if he's healthy after tonight's Cavs scrimmage, thats all I care about when it comes to LeBron at this moment.

Yeah big deal ... it's his team, I'd expect him to pull for them. If I were to get signed by the San Diego Chargers and somehow become as beloved as LT in this town ... and down the road the Indians happened to play the Padres in the World Series ... you can bet your butt I'd be showing up at Petco with an Indians hat on.

He's a Yankee fan,,get over it. This whole city is crying over it. As long as it's not a Knicks hat who gives a rats ass. This is baseball not basketball.

I just herd a Red SoX fan was beaten into Intensive Care b/c he wore a Sox hat in Yonkers N.Y. People take this crap way to far.

You ever get to see ESPN up there in the great white North Lampy?

I remember being in Canada and they had TSN sports or some crap. It was just like ESPN but Canadian.

Not enough hockey on ESPN, dude, no one would watch it up here.
Actually it's protection-ism, Canadian content rules or some such idiocy.

TSN is actually owned by ESPN or they're in a partnership agreement, the TSN logo is the same as the ESPN logo. We get some ESPN shows on TSN.... Pardon The Interruption and The Reporters, I like both of those a lot.

Mexico has ESPN Deportes, which is ESPN with much more soccer and tennis. Maybe Canada should get ESPN Francais.

Sorry to the people on this board if I ruffled any ones feathers by ripping on king james but I was offended by that, to me he had a brazen in your face attiude.I think he could have been a little diplomatic about the whole situation.
Maybe I was the only one on this planet who was offended, but this would have to do with despising the yankees so much. And by the way Peter Gammons has been praising the Indians the entire year, even when we werent doing so well he picked us to win the division.PG also picked us to beat the yanks.

I dont think you offended anybody, I think some of us just cant believe people are making such a big deal out of this, I too have disbised the Yankees over the years, I've sat in old Muni Stadium Waving a I hate the Yankees hankees...But that dosent mean Lebron cant, I'm free to chose who I like so should he, I do realize he's from Cleveland and yes one would think to a certain extent Labron would give the tribe some love, but he dosent have too. Just because Labron likes the Yankees dosent mean he hates the tribe or isnt very smart or should be beat'en just means he has crappy taste in baseball teams....Labron is entitled to like who he wants too, just as we are...If it offends people that bad dont buy his jersey, dont attend games, but also don't think becuase you or a few others think one way, everybody else has to also.... ..Just my .02

You didnt offend anyone, its just that the dude can root for whoever he wants.

Personally, I would love for him to be a Tribe fan also, I would love for him to not be on TV at the Jake wearing a Yankees hat, but I really dont give a damn, because If I played for the Columbus Blue Jackets, I sure as hell would be showing up to the Buck games wearing scarlet and grey.

If he is that passionate about his team, then more power to him. Hopefully tonight his team loses again.

I care about what he does on the hardwood for this city. Not who he roots for in other sports.

People must have missed the part of the interview in which LeBron also said he likes the Cowboys...

"I'm never going to see LeBron or root for the Cavs because LeBron doesn't like the teams I think he should like." Is it me or is that just about the dumbest whiniest thing you've ever seen?

True enough.

Any way you cut it, it is bad form.

He can root for anybody he likes, I agree. But it is bad form to do so in his teams city.

Just not a class thing to do.

Which part is funny? Me wearing an Indians cap at Petco, me becoming an LT-like superstar for the Chargers, or the Padres and Indians actually meeting in a World Series?

I don't care who he roots for but it still surprises me that a kid that grows up in Akron doesn't back the hometown teams because I am such a die hard for all Cleveland teams. I grew up in Akron as well and I just don't get it. I think it's weird but LeBron liked the popular teams when he grew up. Americas's team, the Bulls, the Yankees. In my opinion, he followed the big boys and not the local teams like most of us do. If he grew up in NY, I could completely understand but growing up in Akron.......strange. I could never root for others. I am a Cleveland Fan!
