On a different note ...... evidently, Social Security will direct deposit the stimulus into my desperately requiring a stimulus checking account on Wednesday the 29th. My mom will also receive hers on the same day. Mine is coming right at the right time .... because my fridge is leaking all over the floor. Have you checked your freezer’s condensation drain? My guess is it’s frozen over. Hense it’s leaking. Sounds like a defrost is needed. Yes, my parent's refrigerator was leaking water on the first shelf, from the freezer (on top). Then I notice there was some frozen water in the bottom of the freezer too, that shouldn't be there. The drain had ice in it. I unplugged it, took everything out, cleaned the whole thing and left a fan on the part where I thought it was frozen for three days. Did the trick. Works great now.

It's a tough spot to be in. We cant keep kicking the "flatten the curve" can down the road and yet we can't release it all. Added pressure that Stockholm's approach seems to be highly successful. We're probably embarking on the correct course.
Use the month of May to bring it back. IF the weather stays so-so and cool and wet things will go well as far as people staying in. Once it gets nice the barn door will be open not to be shut again.
Americans are feisty. They'll be led for a time but once made to be felt driven that'll be it.

So what exactly reopens?
Barber shops by appointment so its only a one on one situation (and the proprietor is cool with it) should be lifted. People are getting shabby now. Another thing that probably wont be tolerated long.

I'll try that. Thanks guys. You can speed the process with a blow dryer. Once the ice is thawed you can then ladle boiling/hot water into the drain hole. Sop up the now cooled water. Ladle more hot water. Repeat until the drain tube ice thaws and drains the water away. Takes about 20 minutes total instead of three days of defrost.

I'd rather be a hairstylist than a dental hygienist. Seems odd...

That’s what i was thinking ... my first thought was I’d love to hear his reasoning behind that one ... he’s handled it as well or better than any other gov in the country IMO and seems to be extremely logical in his decisions ...
This one makes no sense but I bet there’s something behind it ...

I'm going to try and find a manufactured date on this fridge, because if it's too old, I'll replace it anyway to get the energy savings. It was here when I bought the house in 2007. There is a $75 program for recycling a fridge, and I had a surprise $50 fall out of the sky from a dental bill. I am also getting $30 from my car insurance, so instead of just wasting these on wine and women .. especially since those days are long past .... I might as well put them to good use.

Get a Kenmore or Whirlpool(same I think) Anyway, Paris Campbells father is my appliance repair guy. He is absolutely fantastic too!!! He says stick with people who make appliances only. Sharpe, LG, Samsung and stuff like that is nearly impossible to get parts for and they are NOT that good. Just what little advice I can add. Again, cant say enough good things about this man!

Yeah. Whirlpool makes a lot of brands. I've had good luck with them, and Frigidare. (which, just now checking, is also a subsidiary of Whirlpool. LOL)

Not sure why there would be confusion. Dental hygienists are healthcare workers. I don’t understand comparing them to salon employees.
Weird how YTown keeps turning this thread into discussions about his personal life. Lol.

I do that sometimes. It is kinda weird at that. However, follow my logic ...... There was a post about the stimulus payments pack 2 or 3 COVID-19 threads ago. Social Security recipients didn't seem to be getting theirs as quickly as others. I saw today that at least some are going through Wednesday, and wanted to share that news with others who might be interested. Then I mentioned that it was just in time ..... and anyone who knows me knows that I can ramble on and on and on ........ See? There I went again.

It’s the same thing with most healthcare workers. They are up in your business way more than your barber. It’s the nature of the business. Taking care of dental issues is more essential than getting your locks trimmed.

For me the confusion is the social distancing ... if your dentist and the hygienist can be in your grill and working in your mouth why can’t salons open? ... Most women i know would much rather miss a cleaning at the dentist than a hair appointment ... just sayin .. ...

I just explained it twice. You need to work on that math.
