Talk about hilarious!! I know the starters were introduced only, but the Browns get ZERO RESPECT. This even after a pretty decent year by the Soldja. <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Well Solja had a bad game against KC where he had only 1 catch and that was in overtime. That hurt his stats and in that same game Gonzo had a monster game so I understand why he wasn't pick as a starter. I was hoping Sean Jones was going to get in but I realize he wasn't going to get in over Troy.

Well, I guess your players and team aren't very popular huh? LOL!! The problem is the Browns players haven't been "popular" for a few years now.

Please explain what stats would give Winslow a landslide victory of Gates and Gonzalez. Let's look at each player's basic stats from ESPN.com and see where they stand so far:

..............Catches.....Yards......Average....TD's...Fumbles
Gates.........65...........805...........12.4........8.........0
Gonzalez....66...........812...........12.3........5.........0
Winslow.....76...........755.............9.9........3.........1

So Winslow has fewer Touchdowns, fewer Yards, fewer Yards/Catch, but has more Catches and more Fumbles. And you think the other guys beat him out because of popularity and not numbers? Could you please share the crack you are smoking with the rest of us?

Maybe Winslow wins in a landslide if you are talking about stats such as:
1) Percentage of games where the player talks trash and does nothing to back it up.
2) Percentage of games where the tight end plays as a wide receiver and blocks no one on a running play.
3) Percentage of running plays where the tight end is taken out in favor of another tight end that isn't soft.

Things like that. I'm sure Winslow OWNS those categories. But in the real world, you should consider knowing what it is you are talking about before you post some stupid B.S. like you did.

Bottom line..more catches..still not enough to win the popularity contest..if you say it's more than that..your just a clueless as any other Squeeler fan.Winslow may be behind in TD's and minimal yardage, but also has more catches for 1st downs..just as many over 40 yards..and is ahead in over 20 yard receptions.Ontop of all that..Wimbley leads all rookies in sacks..why does that number mean nothing?Cribbs is one of the best return men in the game...Andra Davis is among the leaders in tackles(and was tops last season).Sean Jones leads Safeties in INT's..and you say stats do play a part? PLEASE!!! Argue those stats with me numbers boy!!So before you spew out your useless babble..buy a vowel, get a clue..and understand how the pro bowl works..nothing more than a popularity contest...PERIOD!!

Of course he is not going to admit that the Pro Bowl has turned into a garbage game where the popular players get a free trip to Hawaii . Otherwise how does he figure that Polamalu gets a pass . The guy hasn't even played a full season, has guys with much better stats and still goes ? Same with John Lynch both guys are great players but with people playing at a better level and getting passed over ??? Needs fixing in the decision making process because it really is a bogus game. As for KW2 , he needed to have a spectacular season to beat out Gonzales and Gates and he just had a great year instead . Next year when/if he is healthy he goes no problem.

Bottom line..more catches..still not enough to win the popularity contest..if you say it's more than that..your just a clueless as any other Squeeler fan.

Two things to say about your babble:
1) First you complain that if stats were taken into account in the Pro Bowl selection, the Winslow would have won by a landslide. I pointed out 4 out of the 5 stats that ESPN.com tracks for tight ends where Winslows numbers are worse than the two people selected for the Pro Bowl. Then you come back with "the only stat that matters is number of catches. Period." Is that really your argument? Should the Pro Bowl running back be selected solely on who has the most carries in a year? Should the QB be selected by how many passes he completes? No. It is silly to suggest that Winslow would beat out Gonzalez or Gates if only stats were used to compare them. It is downright Browns-fanish to say that he would be them out by a landslide.

2) If you think the Pro Bowl selection process is a popularity contest, then how do you explain this: The two top vote-receivers in the fan balloting were Tom Brady and Warren Saap. Neither was selected to the Pro Bowl. The truth is that the actual selection is based on the players and coaches knowing which players they have faced and studied on film have played the best. For example, compare Sean Jones to Troy Polamalu. A know-nothing fan might look at the number of passes defensed and the number of INTs by each and claim that Sean Jones should have beaten out Polamalu. Meanwhile, the coaches and players on the Browns will remember that they had to adjust their game plan to account for Polamalu and throw away from him. They will also remember the end of the Steelers/Browns game in Cleveland when Polamalu single-handedly saved the game for the Steelers. The Browns needed one first down to be able to run the clock out, but their drive went like this: First down - Frye sacked by Polamalu, Second down - Wright runs for 2 yards then tackled by Polamalu, Third down - Frye's pass to Winslow batted down by Polamalu, Fourth Down - Punt. Steelers get the ball back and drive for winning touchdown.

We could debate the Pro Bowl balloting process until we are blue in the face, but the simple fact is that players and coaches who know a lot more that we do determine who gets selected. It is based on overall play and who makes the biggest impact when it counts. Stats are probably not much of a factor, and they shouldn't be. And after Winslow got embarrassed by James Farrior in front of a national audience and revealed as the soft, weak [censored] he is, why would any players or coaches vote for him? NFL players don't want a [censored] in the Pro Bowl locker room with them.

Then might I suggest never go into a Pro Bowl locker room, that should avoid this situation, you silly little jock sniffer, too bad you can't at least wait for the players to take them off...

Even though I'm probably talking to another banned Squeeler...here is what I said..I never complained about stats...they should be considered..and I also gave you 3 or 4 more catergories where his(Winslow's) stats are better.I did not..But I do and should have considered that you are a Squeeler fan and reading is not a top priority..say anything that "catches" were the only stat to consider..but nice try to put your own spin on that one.And my my..your on a roll..."PallaMalla"(just so you know..I spelled it that way on purpose) should beat out Jones due to one game..why consider the entire season..typical Squeeler logic.
And then you basically give into reason..you know as well as any football fan..it is nothing more than a popularity contest...saying the name Warren Sapp..are you kidding me? What did he do to merit a trip to the pro bowl other than he's a popular player with a well known name?
As for your Porter-like comments..which has probably gotten you banned..just remember one thing when referring to gay actions..Porter is the only man to be seen in a nationally televised game kissing his lover Bill Cowher. <img src="/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/rofl.gif" alt="" />

Do you even know which side of this argument you are on? It doesn't seem so from your posts.
