Reminds me of something a little different. Our dog. Our 2nd floor living room is/was where our daughter hung out with friends. Big room, but the furniture was all used/hand me down type stuff. When my grandma died years ago, we got her loveseat. It's the kind that, at the bottom, had (yes, HAD) the loose 'flaps' for lack of a better term. They hid the legs, basically.
Different times, when we were gone, we'd come home to see our dog had gnawed on them.
I only bring this up cause it was funny at the time. Couple of years ago, came home, daughter went upstairs, then yelled down "DAD, Hunter ate the couch again." I just laughed. Not often do you hear 'the dog ate the couch, again', and laugh and just think it's normal.
At least it was old I guess.

A couple years ago when I stripped the bed to wash sheets, my dogs tore up about 1/4 of my memory foam mattress topper. A lot of it was in pieces on the floor, but some of it was found out in the yard when I picked up poop. That was special.

My dog ate half a bag of hersey kisses. She had shiny poop for a while.

It is, but they would have to eat pounds and pounds of it to get sick. The first thing I did was call the vet.

My dog pulls the stuffing out of the comforter when she gets mad. Our Basset hound had a stubborn streak and even though he was perfectly house broke, when mad at us, usually me, he would find a way to crap in my office. He's been gone a few years now and I miss him, but I don't miss that. Heck my wife could get on him for something and he would tag my office. Once as a pup I got on him for climbing onto the kitchen table to bark out the window. He got his but busted and this was like 10 PM at night. The next morning around 7 I sat down at the table to drink my coffee and noticed a puddle of liquid in the middle (tile top table), he had peed on the table just to let me know who was boss. He got his butt busted again, but I swear he said it was worth it.

That's very nice, Portland.
I want to ask you for some advice. I'll provide some background first.
I steal ideas all the time. I want to make things and I search online for ideas I like and then modify them to fit my needs/wants/desires. I will also go to stores and take a ton of pictures of items I want to build.
Moving on, you and I were talking a couple of years ago about such things and I told you I scored a bunch of old windows from a house that was being renovated. I used some of them to make wall art. I painted pictures in the individual frames and sold them online. Painting on glass was difficult for this beginner. I had to start over several times. Anyway, I still have some of those windows.
I want to build my own shed and my own greenhouse. I am going to use the windows for the greenhouse. I have found some pics on Pinterest that I like, but I have recently considered building a combination shed/greenhouse. I would make the shed a 12x20 and then add on the greenhouse to one end. I don't need a lot of sq. footage for that. Maybe another 4-6 feet on the end of the 12 foot side. I will hinge some of the windows to open them when convenient.
My questions to you is do you think that would be aesthetically pleasing and do you think it is a good idea? Or, should I build them separately? I have plenty of room in the area behind our pool.

I will modify this a bit, but this is kind of the design I want to make for the greenhouse section of the building. Or, maybe this one.......w/out the steps.

What’s aesthetically pleasing to one eye is an eyesore to others. Let your eye be your guide as it’ll be the one that sees it most. My real concern would fall in connecting the buildings, while using old windows, and maintaining a good seal... keeping water out. As walls windows work. The roof you may want to consider other materials. The roof over my hot tub is clear, multi-wall, corrugated plastic sheets. Seemed properly it’s leak tight, and durable. It looks good too. Something like this... https://www.lowes.com/pd/Tuftex-Multi-Wa...mp;gclsrc=aw.ds

Thanks. I wasn't going to use the windows on the roof. I actually looked at the material you linked. I will go w/that or something similar.
You are making me think....the idea of combining them sounded good.........kinda like the patio area of one of those restaurants............but, I might be better off building two separate structures.

This was the other idea we had, except I would put in a double door. I am not sure if I am capable of making that roof, though.

I haa as ve buddies with better building skills than me when it comes to that type of stuff. I either pick their brain or invite them over for a work party/BBQ. The promise of smoked ribs at the end of a day of building pulls most guys away from their families on a Saturday or Sunday. Lol

Nice. I'm in the picking brain stage right now. That's why I am asking you and some dudes I know. I am reluctant to try and install those solar windows, but I've been contemplating using that material you linked earlier instead. Of course, the building would be larger to suit our needs and I would make the windows larger to fit what I have on hand and to add more light from the sides of the structure.
Planning this stuff out is half the fun. Thanks for the help and shoot me any ideas. I am finishing up the pergola and deck arbors for the clematis and also just have to stain the world's most elaborate screen porch ottoman ever constructed. LOL. I am exaggerating, but my wife was like "you are really going over the top on this design."
