I truly hope all you loving mothers out there have a wonderful day.

I would also like to throw a shout-out to my wife. She is an extremely intelligent woman. Hard-working and morally sound. She loves her children w/all her heart and I can't imagine a better mother for my children.

It's funny in an ironic sort of way. I remember a day when we were walking around the streets of Mount Washington in Pittsburgh. She was about 7 month pregnant and she suddenly started to cry. I have only see her cry four times in all the years I have known her, but this was one of them. I quizzed her as what was wrong and she replied that she was fearful that she wasn't going to be an adequate mother for our baby. She thought she might be too selfish and that she might not know enough about caring for a baby. I consoled her as best I could, but I could see she was troubled.

Well, our daughter is 34 years old now and my son is two years younger. She has nurtured those two w/unwavering pure love and dedication. Both of our children realize how blessed they are to have her as their mother. I too, feel blessed to have such a wonderful mother who has raised my beloved children.

I'm sure many of you have similar stories about just how great your own mother or the mother of your children are. Go ahead and share. It's a day to honor our mothers!

My mom recently turned 87, and (Thank God!) is in amazingly good shape. She still has her house, and takes care of it, and herself. She has been mostly secluded during this COVID-19 situation, but thankfully she doesn't mind her own company.

My father left when I was 10, and she sacrificed greatly in order to raise my brothers and me. She never complained about things she didn't have. I can never hope to repay all that she did for us, and somehow "Thank you" seems hopelessly inadequate. Mom, I love you, and thank you for your amazing and endless love for us. Happy Mothers Day!

My mom turns 77 in July and is fit as a fiddle.

I can never repay what she’s done for me over the years, and she put up with a sassy, rambunctious little fella when I was a boy, always gave me enough rope but never too much.

She sat in many cold hockey rinks to watch me play (unlike my deadbeat stepdad) and always made sure I had what I needed, even if I didn’t get everything I wanted (I am now thankful for that).

Happy Mother's Day! We do not have kids, but we wish all who do a great day. My mother is alive and an amazing lady. She is still doing well for 86. Sadly, she is in lockdown at a nursing home. Myheart is with her, and we sent flowers and a card. We will call later.

She is my inspiration today. My special prayers and blessings go out to her today. Best of the best to all moms.

I lost my Mom 23 years ago. I think about her almost every day.

Happy Mothers Day to my wife and Mother of my Children, and my Mother-in-Law. Bless her, she is 94 years young. And to all you Mothers out there.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's. My guess is it's one of the busiest days of the year for restaurants.

And even though most local restaurants are open for carry out, eh, bringing food home in a Styrofoam box didn't appeal to me.

Hence, Tuesday I stopped a butcher's just a couple of miles away to get 4 sirloin steaks. They were out. I like sirloins, or filet. Owner, a school classmate, asked when I needed them. I said Sunday. He said "I'll have 4 fresh of the steer for you Sat. Won't freeze them.

Now, I didn't ask the price, and I didn't ask the size either. I was figuring they'd be 8-12 oz. or so. They called friday. I thought the price was a little steep, but, hey, local guy, local steers, cut up in his shop.

Walked in, paid, and left. Got home, opened the paper bag, and ???? The 4 of them weighed 5 lbs.

Needless to say, I froze 2 of them. But still, 3 people, and 40 oz. of meat? We have leftovers. I'll slice them up nice and thin this evening, cut up some green pepper, maybe some mushrooms, and we'll have fajita's tonight.

Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers, it's my first year without my Mom but I know she is with Jesus and in my heart

Sorry to hear that Marc. My Mom passed in 97. Dad in 95.


Not sure what I would give up, but it would a lot to have one last dinner with them.

I think about them all the time.


Funny, I wouldn't talk to them like Mom and Dad for very long. I'd just talk to them like Gene and Nancy, my new friends.

Anyone else order from P.F. Chang's for Mother's Day? What a disaster and it looks like they completely dropped the ball all across the nation.

We pre-ordered for Mother's Day for 6pm pick up. Called when I arrived and they said the order would be out as soon as it came up, "shouldn't be long."

2+ hrs later and still no food. Nobody was getting any food. They took the phone off the hook. Went to go inside the lobby and it was jam packed with probably ~50 people standing shoulder to shoulder. I turned around and just left w/o the food.

Probably better off. PF Changs is some of the most unhealthy food on the planet.

It tastes good, but nearly everything on the menu gives you a full days worth of calories.

Man, that stinks. You made the wise decision by not joining the crowd, though.

Our two kids came over and we spent the day outside on the screened porch, deck, and around the pool. It was only in the mid-70s, so know swimming........but, it was a beautiful day. We grilled various types of meats, potatoes, and corn-on-the-cob. The kids and I drank beer and we all played some cards and laughed a lot. It was a really good day and it was nice to have the kids at the house again.
