9. Kellen Winslow: It's truly splitting hairs, but I said on my FOXSports.com video report last week that I thought the Browns tight end deserved it. Winslow has more catches than Tony Gonzalez and would've been my choice.

No, it's not even remotely splitting hairs. Gonzalez is at least an adequate blocker. Winslow couldn't push open a screen door, and that's the difference between a complete tight end and a one dimensional one.

***Gordon, I really didn't think you could be this stOOpid, but you exceeded my expectations. Wussy.

I was really surprised that Sean Jones didn't make it. He has done far better than Polamalu this season.

I'm surprised Ray Lewis didn't make it. The Pro Bowl usually is more about reputation than actual performance.

I think most of you know that I am not a homer.

With that said, I think Winslow should have made the Pro Bowl. I also think Jones could have made the squad.

The trouble is that both those positions are very strong in the AFC, although I don't think Lynch should have made it.

Either way, both of these guys [Butch's picks] were by far and away the best players on the Browns.

In Winslow's case, during the second half of the season, teams really schemed to take them out of the game. He was the guy who scared him and they didn't fear anyone else.

Jones was forced to be in almost every play because our run defense really wore down at the end of the year. I think Jones wore down too and I wonder if that hurt him.

[color:"orange"]My son who is not a Browns fan and is my barometer to put me in a reality check on my homerism sometimes. Was shocked KW2 didn't make the Pro-Bowl. Jones - who I think was our defensive MVP, did not deserve the Pro-Bowl this year.

I thought mid-way he was going to give it a run...and possibly if we stayed healthy as a team and he remained a roaming force. But too many things changed up for him. He did not look as comfortable the 2nd half again more so cause of the team we put out as the season wore on. Also after Russell left his play has dropped a bit. I think he's heading in the right direction but as mentioned Safety n TE are two of the most competitive positions in our conference.

KW2 I think he talked himself out of the spot from his peers. When he dissed Gonzo the rest of the league rolled their eyes at him as KW2 never paid his dues for those comments. I know it was harmless and just KW2 being KW2 but I saw how it was perceived around the league and it wasn't taken in with great results. Also when KC played us even though we got the W...they all were watching and they laughed at KW2. I think if he kept his mouth shut and let the accolades just fall on him - maybe he had a shot! But I think he had a Pro-Bowl season nice to see that.

Also I would like to add. Woodson of the NFL network...Woodson the Ex-Steeler the Ex-Raven and Brown's hater. Gave props to Wimbley as his Rookie defensive Player of the year. Oh and he stated that this kid has a Pro-Bowl laden future.

JMHProps!

good point. the fans make 1/3 with the fans/players making up the other 2. is it possible that the fans voted him in (he had gaudy stats and made espn more than a few times) but a lack of respect from the players/coaches is what kept him out?

Tom Brady, QB, Patriots: This one makes no sense, especially since he's one of the popular guys. Philip Rivers has had a nice season, but Brady should go ahead of him. He has more yards and more touchdown passes. His passer rating is lower, but Brady doesn't have L.T. behind him or Antonio Gates in front of him.

[color:"blue"] Not to mention the fact that Brady has NO ONE to throw to.

Sean Taylor, FS, Redskins: Cowboys safety Roy Williams has no business on this team, even though he's a strong safety and Taylor a free safety.

[color:"blue"] Williams couldn't cover me with a blanket (I'm 40+ yrs old w/ arthritic knees)

Al Harris, CB, Packers: He should be going ahead of Ronde Barber and DeAngelo Hall.

[color:"blue"] Well, maybe just Barber. After all, Hall did have a "man" spit in his face..

Chris Snee, G, Giants: This guy is a mauler who should be in Hawaii. His spot is taken by San Francisco's Larry Allen. Wonder if reputation had anything to do with that one?

4. Pat Williams: I have no idea how anyone could deem Kris Jenkins as an all-star this year. With the way Minnesota has stopped the run, Williams deserved to be headed to Hawaii with teammate Kevin Williams. "Big Pat" is the main reason you cannot move the ball north-south on the Vikings.

[color:"blue"] Yeah, this was really bad. Kris hasn't been the same since he tore up his knee in 2004

So once again we've been reminded that the Pro Bowl teams are a big, giant joke. The Pro Bowl rosters really aren't the best players in the NFL, and that's a shame.

I agree with this statement, who really cares about the Pro Bowl, it's a meaningless game that signifies the end of the season. The only people who really care are the ones making money by being there.

Btw, I'm not at all surprised that we don't have a Pro Bowl player, did you really think the Browns would have a Pro Bowler???

I think the NFL lets some make the Pro Bowl, like Larry Allen, to make it look good when they make the Hall of Fame. The more credentials, the better.

Kind of like when MLB let Clemens in the All-star game, when he was with the Yankees and it was supposed to be his final year. There was a big debate if he should have played because he didnt even have a winning record. many said "he desreves it, it is his final year". Well, he ended up playing 2 more years after the All-Star selection was GIVEN to him.
