“Crossfire Hurricane” is the FBI’s internal code name for the bureau’s original investigation into whether members of the Trump campaign were colluding with Russia to influence the 2016 presidential election. That investigation was launched by the FBI in July 2016. Former special counsel Robert Mueller's team eventually announced that it found no evidence of coordination.

Hasn't Durham been investigating this for a year now? This is looking like another distraction plan to attempt to drive thinking from the Horrible way Trump Killed Americans with his inaction.

That's exactly what it is. They act like they had their heads up their butts right up until a few months before the election. Suddenly everything changed.

I can save them time. It started in 2015 when Trump colluded with Putin to steal an election. See how easy the truth is uncovered.

Rod Rosenstein testifying on Capitol Hill Wednesday about Russia probe: What to knowFormer acting Attorney General Rod Rosenstein will be the first witness to testify in the Senate Judiciary Committee’s investigation into the origins of the Russia probe on Wednesday. Rosenstein will testify about “new revelations contained in the Horowitz report concerning the FISA warrant applications and other matters,” according to Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C, who chairs the Judiciary Committee. "This will be the first in a series of oversight hearings regarding all things Crossfire Hurricane and the Mueller investigation.” Here’s what to know:Rosenstein approved the third FISA Renewal Application for Carter Page On June 29, 2017, both Rosenstein and then-acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe approved the third and final FISA renewal application to surveil former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. But in January 2020, it was revealed in a DOJ assessment that the surveillance warrants lacked probable cause when stripped of FBI misinformation in the Steele dossier. However, Rosenstein said he didn’t recall knowing about the political nature of the Steele dossier when signing the Carter Page FISA renewal application. Rosenstein gave Mueller his full authority to investigate the Russia probe Rosenstein, in May 2017, appointed Robert Mueller as special counsel. Rosenstein also penned the “scope memo” for Mueller’s investigation in August 2017, which outlined the authority of Mueller. Earlier this month, the memo was released in full and revealed for the first time that Mueller’s authority went significantly beyond what was previously known. The newly released version of the document makes clear that Rosenstein didn't hesitate to explicitly authorize a deep-dive criminal probe into the Trump team that extended well beyond Russian interference efforts. Additionally, the scope memo stated that Mueller was charged specifically with investigating whether several former Trump officials -- including Page, George Papadopoulos and Paul Manafort -- had "committed a crime or crimes by colluding with Russian government officials with respect to the Russian government's efforts to interfere with the 2016 election for President of the United States." Rosenstein supported AG Barr's conclusion that the president didn't obstruct justice in the Mueller probe After Mueller didn't reach a conclusion on whether Trump had obstructed the investigation, Barr and Rosenstein stepped in and determined the evidence wasn't enough to support such an allegation. In his final months in office, Rosenstein became a frequent target of Trump's ire, after FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe described private discussions about secretly recording and potentially ousting the president in the days after he fired FBI Director James Comey. Rosenstein denied pursuing a recording of the president. Rosenstein was part of a small group of department officials who reviewed the Mueller report originally and helped shape its public release. Rosenstein's testimony will shape potential subpoenas of top Obama officials The Judiciary Committee is expected to vote one day after Rosenstein’s testimony on whether to subpoena documents and testimony from top Obama officials. The potential subpoenas would cover documents, communications and witness testimony in a public setting or behind closed doors for any “current or former executive branch official or employee involved in the 'Crossfire Hurricane' investigation.” Graham is seeking testimony from former FBI Director James Comey, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan, former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and others. The subpoena authorizations would cover any documents, communications and testimony “related to any aforementioned matter” from current and former officials, including Trisha Anderson, James Baker, Dana Boenta, Mary McCord, Andrew McCabe, Loretta Lynch, Jonathan Moffa, Bruce Ohr, Lisa Page, Peter Strzok, Joseph Pientka, John Podesta, Samantha Power, Susan Rice, Bill Priestap, Sally Yates and Rosenstein among othershttps://www.foxnews.com/politics/rod-rosenstein-testifying-russia-probe-capitol-hill

I'll tell you what cracks me up,, From 2012 to 2018, Republicans controlled Congress. They investigated Hillary Clinton for all the things they said she did,,, Tell me again, how long did she spend in jail? These investigations are all part of a plan to distract from the real issues of our time. Racism running rampant 40 million out of work Pandemic that has killed 107 thousand people in just a hair under 3 months And Idiot in the White House that wants to turn our military against citizens (as evidenced by Mondays action, even the peaceful ones) So excuse me if I don't buy into the BS. Let me know when the indict someone.

The entire Russia hoax surrounding what the FBI did to Carter Page, General Flynn and President Trump is disgusting...and frightening. It shouldn't matter whether you support or hate the President...the acts of our country's top investigative arm were despicable.

They have investigated her after Trump was elected too. They still came up with nothing. Now that it's getting close to the election, they are coming up with another hoax to try and fool voters.

Yes, and now there is this... Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein testified Wednesday that he would not have signed a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant renewal for former Trump campaign aide Carter Page had he known about the since-revealed misconduct surrounding those warrants -- while faulting the FBI for its handling of the documents. “The FBI was supposed to be following protocols to ensure that every fact was verified,” Rosenstein said, going on to cite Justice Department inspector general findings last year revealing that the FBI actually “was not following the written protocols, and that ‘significant errors’ appeared in applications filed in connection with the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.”

Graham also prompted Rosenstein to acknowledge there was scant collusion evidence in August 2017. "The whole concept that the campaign was colluding with the Russians, there was no there there in August 2017. Do you agree with that statement?" he asked. Rosenstein replied: "I agree with that general statement.”

Yeah, next year there will be a lot of people being prosecuted. If you think a lot of trump cronies are already felons, give it a little time.

Wow. What an anticlimax to the BIG EVENT. We got an "agree" to the sentiment of collusion - which means very little, but hey ho.. Wouldn't have signed off on the arrant if he'd known about the since revealed irregularities? WOWOWOWOW> STOP THE FREAKING PRESS..... Oh hang on... this actually amounts to less than a hill of beans. Try harder or just come out and start lying now.

What a foolish comment.
Read the Transcripts. This was big.
And this was only witness number one! A somewhat good guy who helped Barr release the Mueller report!

Nobody released the Mueller report. It was heavily redacted. Nobody released a "transcript" of the phone call to Ukraine either.

Maybe Barr will come out and spin some wild inaccurate summary of this investigation that the Alt Right crowd can jump on and start repeating enough times so people believe the lie?

Don't want to start another thread: But more facts that don't align with the Trumpian view of the world: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-t...r-idUSKBN23B2RBQUICK, it's not too late to change the narrative - Call Barr and tell him to arrange for a press conference telling the USA that the Ukrainians found Hunter Guilty of LOTS of things. Add that it was a perfect phone call and that they love Trump.

Sen. Graham refuses to let FISA abuse get pinned on low-level FBI staff: 'I believe it goes to the very top'Sen. Lindsey Graham says that he plans on calling former FBI Director James Comey and former deputy director Andrew McCabe to testify before his Senate Judiciary Committee, because he doubts they were unaware the dossier compiled by ex-British spy Christopher Steele had been debunked before it was used to get a FISA warrant to monitor former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. After former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein denied having knowledge of any altered documents or that the Steele dossier had been disavowed beforehand, McCabe responded by saying that Rosenstein’s claim that he was misled by him or anyone else at the FBI “are completely false.” Graham, R-S.C., told Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” that he wants to press McCabe on his knowledge regarding the FBI’s interview with Steele’s sub-source, who denied the information in the dossier. “Here’s what I would say to Mr. McCabe,” Graham said. “In the warrant application by the FBI and Department of Justice to the FISA court, you said that the Russian sub-source was truthful and cooperative. Inspector General Horowitz found a memo about the interview with the Russian sub-source saying the Russian sub-source disavowed all the information in the dossier, that it wasn’t reliable, that it was bar talk, it was hearsay, it shouldn’t be used to get a warrant.”Graham said he is determined to make sure high-ranking officials who knew what was going on are held accountable. “We’re not going to let the system blame some low-level intel analyst or case agent for defrauding the court,” he said. “I believe it goes to the very top, and I’m going to get to the bottom of it and that means Sally Yates and Rosenstein, and McCabe and Comey are all going to come before the committee and they’re going to be asked, ‘What did you know and when did you know it?’” Graham said that anyone who knew that the dossier had been refuted and then went along with or approved the FISA warrant for Page could face jail time. He recalled how, according to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report, the FBI tried to apply for a FISA warrant earlier and it was turned down, and said it was McCabe who suggested using the dossier as additional evidence to back the warrant application.
Graham said he finds it hard to believe that an intel analyst and case agent would be the only ones at the time who were aware that the sub-source refuted the dossier, and said if any higher-ups were notified, they would be “in trouble with the law.” The senator said he has tried to call the intel analyst and case agent who interviewed the sub-source, but that so far he has been denied. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/sen-gra...to-the-very-topLock them up!

I am surprised you even know about Rosens testimony...
You may not know that happened. ABC, CBS and NBC ignored it that night. PBS gave the story 55 seconds.
The ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts devoted 2,202 minutes of coverage to the Trump-Russia collusion conspiracy theory from Jan. 21, 2017, to Feb. 10, 2019. When the Senate Intelligence Committee announced on Feb. 12, 2019, that there was no collusion? There was zero coverage on ABC, CBS and NBC.
These networks, alongside the "prestige" print press, CNN and MSNBC, obsessed about Russian-collusion claims 24/7 for more than two years. It was never "out of left field." It was the fiercely beating heart of the "news" product.
The media repeatedly questioned the legitimacy of President Trump's election and even welcomed bald-faced lies about Trump being a Russian agent. "Bombshell" after "bombshell" led to claims that collusion was going to end Trump's presidency early. Now the papers bury the story on the inside pages.
Under questioning from senators, Rosenstein claimed he was not well-informed at all about everything the FBI – under his direct supervision – was doing to railroad Team Trump. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, asked him if he knew that the primary source behind the Steele dossier disavowed it as rumors and hearsay. He said no.
Sen. Ted Cruz claimed what the Obama-Biden team did to undermine the Trump campaign, the Trump transition team and the Trump administration made Watergate pale by comparison.
