There's literally nothing going on before. There is no skirmish, no bottles. There are maybe a 10 civilians even within 50 feet -- mostly just a bunch of news cameras. The guy that they arrest 10 seconds later is running to the older man's aid.

I try not to watch many videos on this board because I usually know what the message will be simply by who is posting the video.
I also don't share videos because I don't want to make a definitive stance on such issues. I believe that there are good and bad in all races and that showing one side is a disservice to us all. However, you run your big mouth too much. So, here is a demonstration of blacks protesting for social justice.

I am not completely convinced one way or another about this particular video.
Was he pushed? Yes but not with much force. He looks like a guy trying to over exaggerate the effects of the push and in doing so falls harder than he intended and hits his head and bleeds. Maybe he was just old and weak and frail but the push was not very aggressive - IMO

Sorry - to me it seems you are trying to excuse the inexcusable or otherwise justify this. I don't buy it. I think any industrialized nation on earth would look at this and say "this is NOT what you want from your police officers" there is nothing appropriate or reasonable about this in my eyes.

Donald Trump clashed with reporters Friday during a press conference that featured him ignoring questions and telling a black journalist she is "something" when she asked about rising minority unemployment rates.
The president came to the Rose Garden for a hastily arranged press conference to tout better-than-predicted employment figures. The Labor Department said the unemployment rate dropped to 13.3 per cent from 14.7 per cent last month.
He unleashed a rather meandering string of words about various topics, and eventually sat down at a table to sign legislation focused on helping small businesses bounce back from the Covid-19 pandemic.
That's when Yamiche Alcindor of PBS and another reporter tried to ask him questions. Mr Trump, whose staff counsels press members about his preference they have "good decorum" regularly, was not amused.
He ignored a question about George Floyd, a black man killed by white police officers in Minneapolis last week. And he grew agitated with Ms Alcindor when she asked how, despite lower overall unemployment, rising joblessness among African-Americans and Asian-Americans could be considered positives.
"Excuse me, I'd like to sign this bill," Mr Trump said before telling Ms Alcindor: "You are something."
She soon defended herself on Twitter, calling her's a "critical question."
The way he attacks anyone that asks him the tough questions or questions him in any way tells people everything they need to know about the man. At least for anyone paying attention.
I find the entire economy thing somewhat of a mystery however. We had a strong economy when Trump was elected. He used the very tools you need to help a failing economy to recover, just to bolster an already strong economy. (Tax cuts and lowered interest rates.) Now when the economy does falter, those tools are gone.
Beyond that, when the shut downs happened, of course unemployment was going to balloon to great proportions. That would have taken place no matter who our president was. Likewise, when things start opening back up, more people will be going back to work.
Both are just the natural progressions of the circumstances. Those on the left are wrong trying to blame Trump for the Covid-19 economy. Trump is just as wrong for trying to take a victory lap for people going back to work as things are opening back up.

I saw nothing in his conduct that warranted that type of response. I don't wish to live in a world of, "If you touch me I will hurt you". It was a 75 year old elderly man. There was nothing threatening in his conduct.
The man is currently in the hospital in serious condition.

I have to agree with Eve on this one. It looks like nothing more than a step back away nudge. It certainly wasn't a full on shove. They had no idea knowing how old he was. Nor how fragile. I saw another video from a different angle that had more footage leading up to it and he was certainly quite limber in his movement prior to the fall.
I think this was the case of an unfortunate consequence to an act that was done without anger or malice or intent.

It was a pretty good shove -- most people would have stumbled backwards. They probably didn't expect him to hit his head -- and a younger person would have probably had better balance to brace their fall. But police, especially riot police -- should be able to make these judgements.
That said -- he wasn't doing anything threatening -- somebody above said he was going for a gun???? He doesn't even touch the officer, and his hand is fully grasping his cell phone the whole time.
