Someone suggested I watch it on Netflix ... and out of boredom I watched all 4 episodes this past weekend.

Of course I had heard of the guy and vaguely knew that he was charged with sexual assault of minors ... and that he died/committed suicide/was “offed” ... but WOW, I had no idea the wormhole of this dude’s actions.

Sex trafficking of minors (we’re talking HUNDREDS, if not THOUSANDS) ... many big names mentioned/alluded to as well. And he was so rich/powerful that his actions were glossed over.

I’ve always heard of the elite class being involved in pedophilia and weird cults/demonic rituals ... but honestly this kind of confirms it to me.

What a scum.

He was a POS. I don't know how accurate the documentary was, but even if liberties were taken, he and his cronies are some pretty warped people.

It's one thing to pay some hooker for services. At least they are adults making their own decisions even if those decision are based on desperation.

It's a whole different deal when you start talking about 15 year old girls more or less being held in bondage to perform services.

I don't think Jeffery committed suicide, he was a coward. Too many power brokers had too much to lose because that guy would spill the beans to get the best deal he could.

He was still going away, but there are "white collar" prisons, so to speak.
He could have gotten that for his testimony.

I plan on watching it, but for now the wife and I are hooked on Longmire. If you haven't seen it, give it a look. It's good..about a Wyoming Sheriff, modern times. It will hook you.

I live in Tennessee. I like hats and can "get away with" wearing a cowboy hat. They fit in with the culture. I have to get that hat.

I just looked it up...

$250....not as much as I thought for 6X Stetson felt. That will wash the rain away from your head and face.

I'll check it out.

I imagine it's a rehashing of the investigative reporting done by Julie K. Brown of the Miami Herald that re-opened the investigative and helped put Epstein away.

A lot of shady dealing with some powerful people helped get him off the hook originally.

Here are the three-part investigative journalism reports from Julie Brown, if interested.

Part 2 and Part 3 are linked in the Part 1 article.

Finished all episodes and it was one of the most interesting things I've watched in quite awhile.

It makes me mad that the Maxwell woman is still out there. Why is there no Interpol, FBI orders for her arrest?

Dude, you've filled everyone in on your health issues. Nobody is going to believe you can kick Chuck Norris' ass even if he is 80.

I watched Filthy Rich this last week. He was brilliant and a complete narcissist. He combined those to lie and cheat his way into insane wealth. He used money and blackmail to gain power.

As evil as men come.

If you liked that, try Death on the Bayou, also on Netflix.

Wow did this thread take a turn...LOL

Watched the documentary. would recommend it. I won't give a spoiler but let's just say some political and legal types are prominent in it.

I think it doesn't go far enough but I suspect that if some of the powers that be get out of the way of a complete investigation, you may find some even more crazy and disgusting things.

This guy was a total low life.

D4.....? Roughly a week/10 days ago I DVR'd 3 episodes that were on IDHD and each were an hour long.

If you can recall, were the 4 Netflix episodes shorter/no commercials/adding up to roughly 3hrs?

Or am I missing one?

I’d say each of the 4 episodes were about 50-55 minutes ... so that would be what? A little over 3 hours?

I started episode one but had to stop after about 20 min due to having to take off. I am hoping to get back into it.

I feel like most that think he was murdered. It was pretty hilarious that he committed suicide literally a day after a bunch of names he was connected to came out. I think there was a name that never surfaced that was linked to him, and they got to him in time. Just a theory that I've had.

Did the doc talk about the blackout in Manhattan right before his place was raided? I thought that was weird too. I would love to hear more about that.

Binge watched it a few weeks ago. Have to say the first few episodes, when they would show the photos of the girls when they were 14/15 years old and what he as doing to them it started to make me physically sick and I thought about just turning it off...

Glad I didn't, once it got historical and they talked to the ladies now, I just started getting mad.

then as they explained all of the evidence they had against him MANY YEARS before anything actually happened to him and how he had insulated himself by buying off/threatening public servants, ranking cops, etc... I kept getting madder..

When it was over all I could say to my son was.. "I watched it, now I'm upset that I didn't kill him myself"...

Wonder how the case is going against all of the high profile men who were so close to him?
