I love AC/DC. What's most important is that I don't give a crap if nobody else in the world likes them. I still do. so those who don't like them can just not listen to them thumbsup

I enjoyed AC/DC at one time. I owned Back in Black back in the day. They’re much more palatable to my ear than say, Rush.
I hope you watched the video in the link I posted. That AI AC/DC song is really worth a listen.
Heck, the Red Hot Chili Pepper's song the AI wrote is as good as anything the actual band has written since Blood Sugar.

I wouldn't say I despise AC/DC or Twisted Sister, but I wouldn't say I like them, either.

I like a couple of Songs from AC/DC, including Thunderstruck, and 1 from Twisted Sister, We're not going to take it.

For 1 reason: Memories. Sports Memories. Those, and a few other songs, would kinda get you pumped up.

Indeed, but then that probably holds true in pretty much everything. Obviously you have to have the talent, no matter the occupation, but music, many people never get the chance to get in front of someone who can make a difference, be it someone who helps some group/singer make a record, or some old time DJ who could play some record you produced with some savings.

Loretta Lynn or the Four Seasons would have never been heard of unless a few DJ's decided it was good music and they were going to give it airtime.

Back in the day, DJ's held a lot of power over that was played. Now they just get their playlists and play what they are told to play, in the order they are told to play them.

Think about it, when we were young, DJ's took calls and played what people wanted to hear. Now, it might be a hour at noon or the 6:00 PM hour they take requests. After that, it is all a part of the station formula.

Stations now get paid to play this song or that song once every 100 minutes or so. DJ's now just play the list provided.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

I agree on AC/DC….their songs sounded pretty much the same. Same progressions.....maybe reverse the chords, or toss one out and add another. Not much talent there, but, they made some coin and I guess that is the goal for a band.

Aspiring rock stars listned to AC/DC for Angus Young. He was the show in concert too. For example, I didn't go see David Lee Roth for his singing. I went to see Steve Vai play.

Sooooo . . . . it's kinda like dating. . . . .

I know what I grew up with, and what I used to like. Harder to find now; to be fair, some brands (mine included) have expanded. No shaming intended.

I grew up with late 50's and 60's Rock and Motown, some Led Zeppelin, but not at all into Metal. Disco was good...

I find I can't judge one band based on another. Zeppelin was a blues band, while Rush is their own brand of rock.

I like Doug Dieken think it's a better listen when he's there.

I didn't like Madden +Summerall the later years, Madden wouldn't focus on the game sometimes.

I don't like Al Michaels, as someone who has to be in front of every big game always, for many many years,
Let him take a year off, put another announcer out there for a change.

I observed everything going on under the sun, and really, it is all meaningless—like chasing the wind.

But as I looked at everything I had worked so hard to accomplish, it was all so meaningless—like chasing the wind. There was nothing really worthwhile anywhere.

Vanity of Vanities all is vanity, it's the opening of Ecclesiastes the KJV uses the word vanity if I recall correctly.

You want real entertainment? Go read leadtheway's posts throughout the Cavs championship run. He predicted a loss in every game and every series. No player was performing anywhere near their potential, they all sucked. ....all the way to the title. blush

alrite try this one on.

Hey Mcdonald's thanks for kicking me in the groin. Just want to iterate the feeling I get when I think about for 2 years, how it feels that you changed the quarter pounder meat to fresh meat from flash frozen.

Genius' did ya read your own signs throughout the 1980's, over 40 billion served, 50 billion, 60, .. billions and billions?

You think, I've got memories over 20 years of biting into that greasy, cheesy mess with too much catsup< crappy mustard, and oversized onions and 2(sometimes 3) too many pickles,

Lovely memories, and we all know it's trash food, it's trash food, but every once in a while! every once n a while, once a week, twice a month, you just get the urge,
And your took it away from me, you took it away from me, because you bowed to a Wendy's commercial, or ARby's about fresh meat!

Well your fresh meat stinks! IT RUINED THE QUARTER POUNDER! it tastes like overly salty, and too juicy- in a different way, and YUCKY! The meat tastes yucky.
I have to spit it out after the first bite,

I have to force myself to eat it, hoping it's not going to be bad this time.

And if you wonder how I feel about it, I said thanks for kicking me in the groin, because that needs to be the starting point so someone else can consider the feeling of betrayal I get, when I consider I can't order a quarter pounder with cheese, the way I want,
anymore.

You sold billions and billions of flash frozen.

I liked Zep a lot, but still think the Beatles are the best.

I will say some years back I saw Robert Plant and Allison Krauss in concert. Allison always insists on starting a tour here because Chattanooga is the place that really embraced her from the beginning. It's kind of where she feels she first made it.

At any rate, it was a darn good concert, mixing some of her songs, Plant/Zep songs, and several new songs for the tour.

Here is Black Dog. T-Bone Burnett and his band arraigned and played. T-Bone is one of the best.

I hate evil,
and injustice,
torture, and lies, are a couple of things I hate.

More people like those than people may want to admit.

I hate pride, the proud, and lies.

Wisdom is heard in the streets, and people know the truth it's clearly seen.

I hate people that make false idols and expect people to bow down to them, people not believing in God, those that hurt children, and those that prey on the weak, and sadists- people who love violence and causing pain. I hate the break-up of families, sin filled or not.

And I hate any of the, things from fortune telling, to horoscopes, to dead talking with-ers,
I hate death, I don't like watching things die, I hate evil.

And a thing I hate that many people love, though they may be blind to it or not want to admit it is, the demand to uplift false idols in any form.

The Beatles are always considered the best because they kind of started it all. I like the Beatles, but let's face it they weren't especially great at anything and the drug years were way better than the love years.

Two things I think are cool about Zep. You could argue each member are top 5 all time at their respective positions...front man, guitar, drums, and bass. With John Bonham, he's probably number one. And although they were kind of already nearing the end, I like that the band broke up after Bonham died. No replacements, the parts were irreplaceable. "We cannot continue as we were."

And of course the music is legendary. No two songs sound remotely the same.

The older I get, the more I appreciate the Beatles. I agree that none are at the top 5 at their instrument (McCartney on bass can maybe be argued), but their ability to write music is second to none. You've probably heard this before.....John Lennon was asked if Ringo was the best drummer in the world, and he said "Ringo isn't the best drummer in the Beatles". I just wish they would have started 5 years later.

Actually, John never said that, though it’s widely quoted.

I don’t trust two kinds of people. Those who don’t like dogs, and those who don’t like the Beatles.
