Here is the thing. While bleeding hearts whiners complain about statues from a bygone era that are not hurting anyone and actually making some pigeons happy, gang activity is crippling lower economic communities. And none of you geniuses want to talk about that.

You make a good point yet how does that change anything? You seem to be saying we have a bigger problem so ignore the other problems? How much sense does that make? It sounds like a diversionary tactic to change the focus on to something else so yet another problem gets ignored.

Start a movement since you seem so concerned. I would be happy to join you. But that doesn't make honoring racist sympbols in this country any less wrong.

The reason for editing was to correct typos, but I can also laugh at my own expense because I'm not so entrenched in the "I'm right and you're all evil if you don't agree with me" type of mindset.

OK - so I just saw a 'Baker' thread and had a look for the first time and saw the recent back and forth ... and this here is the sort of post that would make me pretty annoyed if I was in this discussion.... your last post said that Pit resorts to personal stuff, yet when I see this post all I see is several personal attacks aimed at several posters ... either I'm coming in on the back of a lot of other tit for tat (and I am not reading it because I have better things to do) or the message you think you are saying isn't the same message others like myself read ... You ignored all the back and forth that preceded the post you decided to highlight. I'm not going to get on your case about this because you have a right to your opinion, but I still maintain that inner city gangs pose more of a threat to our black communities than statues do. Thus, I feel I have the right to bring that up w/out being ridiculed.

I can see that gang violence is a bigger problem than statues. I can see that looting, murdering, and selling drugs are bigger problems than a statue.

I think we should just ignore certain problems because there's other problems. Mmm hmmm...

For once, we agree. Ignoring crimes like murder, rape, theft, etc because we are only focused on the police and statues seem preposterous to me.

Well that would not really be Baker's call for one. He could step aside, but the coaches and GM would have to believe Cap is the next best option, and Cap would have to want to go to Cleveland.

Second, in the NFL, any year you don't play may be your last, so you take every opportunity to prove you belong.
