As you point out: Not only was Hilary a HORRIBLE candidate who didn't run a campaign and did just about everything wrong that she could have. Not only did Comey screw her days before the election with his announcements. Not only was she hated by the right and get them out to vote while switching off the Democrats. . . . . . SHE STILL WOM THE POPULAY vote !!!
Hopefully (Lord willing) KoB is being satirical when he talks about howuch Biden lies. He HAS TO BE right ???? We are comparing him to Trump who lives for a living and is without a doubt in my eyes and many, a true example of a compulsive liar.
And most of the middle who actually decide the election have been fairly horrified at Trump and how he acts and "leads" ....
By every logical thought process Biden should literally win in a landslide, simply because he isn't Trump. That said, I think it's too close to call because Biden is as bad a candidate as Hilary, he just isn't despised as badly.
The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

I said something similar last night and it got lost after Pit went off on one of his tangents, but I don't trust any politicians.
I think they all freaking suck ass. I want them to have as little influence over my life as possible. I tolerate them because I have to. But, I don't follow their advice.
I don't believe in any of them. I don't think a single one of them has the general public's best interests at heart.
Politicians are like mosquitoes, gnats, flies, etc. Annoying disturbances to our everyday life. Blood-sucking, disease-carrying blights on our society. I'd rather swat them w/a fly swatter than follow them. By God Vers, we have found something where we are in 100% agreement. Probably worthy of it's own thread, which would quickly devolve into a train wreck... I honestly think a lot of people get into politics with very good intentions to fix problems and make a difference... then they find that longer you are in politics and the higher you go the more you have to sell out your values (and your constituents) to walk the party line.. Fixing problems and making a difference gives way to obtaining power and keeping job security...

The absolute best thing this country could ever do is set term limits for everyone, and eliminate the 2 party system. It would do wonders.

The absolute best thing this country could ever do is set term limits for everyone, and eliminate the 2 party system. It would do wonders. I'm not sure how you "eliminate" the two party system other than allowing a 3rd party (and maybe a 4th party) to grow... and the Ds and Rs have too much power and influence to allow that to happen. I've been hearing since I was a wee lad that we need a viable 3rd party.... but then every election somebody throws their hat in the ring as an independent, a libertarian, whatever.. and that's when the fear mongering starts.. "A vote for the 3rd party is just like a vote for X and we can't allow X to win so you have to suck it up and vote for us to prevent X from winning".. both sides play that game equally well... I was explaining to my 24 year old son who has developed an interest in politics out of recent events and I was explaining my position the two party system.... it's like if you show up at the park with your basketball as an "independent" player.. the Ds and Rs are running a game.. the game ends and you say "I've got next".. and they look at each other and you don't fit on either team so no, you don't have next... they run again... forever. If you have independent thoughts or agree with some D positions and some R positions, there is no place for you in the game.

Look, it comes down to this.
Trump has never been a politician. He is trying to run the US like he would run a business. to him "losing money" just doesn't compute to him. I applaud his tenacity and not wanting to lose money doing things.
However, in case of COVID 19 he needs to bite the bullet, extend the CARES Act PPP, Extend the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance. Yes we will lose money because of this, but these are crazy circumstances right now. Even many Republicans in the house are beginning to change their tune on this because they see what is happening. Under normal conditions I would agree with him trying to avoid losing money, but right now we have to keep the money pumping until we can get past this and get the economy going again.
Trump isn't used to public service, he is used to firing people who don't tow the line and replace them with someone else. He struggles with this. He is just now kinda starting to realize you can't do that, but it took him 3 and half years to realize it. I just think he is more a businessman than anything and the transition to public office was a big jump for him that he still isn't quote comfortable with.
I don't think he handled COVID 19 well, I don't think he handled the riots and protests well, but he did do well with the pre-COVID economy and stock market. Its really tough.
The Us government wasn't prepared to handle COVID 19. I don't care if Bush Jr or Obama was in office not much would have changed..they just didn't have the resources in place to deal with it, all of them would have been scrambling just like Trump was because that failure just isn't on one president, that failure goes back many administrations.
Trump certainly isn't a nice person, I agree with some of his policies, but not all of them. I don't think the response was entirely Trump's fault, but I do think Obama or Bush would have done much better with the response. Trump actively worked against the correct response. He talked it down and called it a hoax. He disbanded the very team Obama set up to help with this kind of situation. He refused to wear a mask, and said you shouldn't, even in a mask production facility, causing thousands of masks to be thrown out due to shear ineptitude. He dismisses every expert who goes against anything he says. So no, the responses wouldn't have been the same. Sounds like someone wasn't watching the daily Trump press conferences. He never said don't wear a mask. He said it was your choice. Where did you get this information? Its incorrect.
Find what you love and let it kill you.

Well after the death toll has reached well in excess to over 135,000 Americans he has decided that "your choice" to infect and possibly kill other Americans is the way to go. I mean it's everyone's right to choose whether to riak the health, safety and possibly the life of other Americans, right?
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I thought he said it, and his response has been that the early recommendations were to not wear them. So he never said "Don't wear a mask" but he just referred to the early recommendations for months after they had been corrected. No disputing the rest though?

He never said the words "don't wear a mask" .... but he sure as hell was not leading the charge to encourage people to wear them. He's the leader of the free world, his faithful repeat whatever he says to them almost verbatim. . . . I've been in two commercial businesses in NC and VA recently when I forgot my mask, in each case I was the only person on property other than the business owner on the other side of plexi glass hanging from the ceiling, so I stayed and bought my goods. . . . . BOTH times the person mentioned that Coronavirus is a media driven hoax, presumably because I wasn't wearing a mask and I guess they thought I felt the same way too. I have friends who are intelligent, smart people who are Trump supporters, they talk about how over blown this all is and refer to the media just trying to undermine Trump. . . . smh
