I wish I could go, that used to be the best thing ever! Now it's work, work, work, school, school, school. Maybe I'll get some candy and just watch scary movies or something.

Could you imagine if we had a DawgTalkers Halloween party? PA would be trying to punt everything he could get his hands on. To bad every time it would only go 7 yards

That's what I want to do! I told Christy I want to dress up as a zombie and sit motionless on the porch, and when kids come up I want to jump up and scare the bejesus out of them! That's what Halloween is about, right?

The halloween party we are going to has a theme this year and it is "Pimps and Hos". Not exactly something we're thrilled about, since it doesn't really garner much in the way of creative costumes and such, I much prefer to do something unique. One year I went as a thawing caveman, and wore a fur coverup, used makeup to make my entire body kinda palish and blue, and covered myself with little ice crystals. But this year being "pimps and hos" the wife and I have been everywhere for costumes and can't come up with anything interesting. Well until I came up with the Flintstones. We are going to get Flintstone costumes, and I'll get some plastic bling bling and the wife will get a Wilma costume , plus white fishnet stockings, and stuff.. I mean the Flintstones lived a decent life, a nice house, car, took vacations, and Wilma had this huge pearl necklace. I don't think they got them from Fred job in the quarry. They had work going on on the side.

For the first time in 10 years, I will not be having a Halloween party where I get to dress up due to a hectic October weekend schedule. I'll be the guy in the Edward Jones dome in St. Louis on Oct. 28th in the Wimbley jersey, if anything. Typically, I'll do the whole Gene-Simmons KISS get-up, complete with spiting up blood (red food coloring, milk, egg whites) when I get drunk enough. Went as Satan last year. Note: red face paint does not come off as easily as black and white, in case anyone was wondering.

I'm not much in the mood this year, so I'll probably turn out all the lights and hide. Seems to be an every other year thing. If the kids weren't in their LATE teens that t-o-t around here, it might be different. But, sheesh...give it up already. Someone made a comment to me at the age of 12 that I was too old to be out....but these kids are easily 15 or 16. Get a job and buy your own candy!!! Damnit.

My wife insists we have candy ready, because she likes all the little kids costumes and stuff. We live in a small subdivision, so we get alot of small kids who's parents bring them to our sub-div because it's safe, has sidewalks, well lit, and stuff.
Then she always makes me go answer the door when they start coming around. I'm like "You wanted to pass out candy, not me...so why am I always having to pass out the candy while you sit in the living room and watch TV?"
Women, they make no sense.

LOL.. I don't mind the older kids if they take the time to dress up.. it's the ones that throw on a flannel shirt and go as a "farmer" that get me... I asked my 4 year old daughter what she wants to be.. she told me she wants to be a frog. Not just any frog though, she wants to go as a "frog eating a hot dog"... anybody know where I can find one of those costumes?

That's a rather odd desire.....what are you feeding her? A frog costume with a dog squeaky toy hotdog. Velcro the hotdog to her head somehow.

The wife and I host an annual costume party that's actually quite big for our condo (45 people last year). We expect more this year.
I have planned a few cool games:
- Jell-O shot eating contest through a straw [named = Who can suck the best?] - A drink tasting contest [named = Who has the best tongue?] - Pin the Junk on the Stud - for the ladies - And a Costume Contest with lots of "Adult" prizes
I'm going as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. My wife, a bumblebee.
I'll post pictures after (only if they're clean enough).

My wife and I will be throwing a costume party this year. I'm a Stormtrooper she's a Jawa. I've converted my garage into a bar. It has over 20' of bar top, neons, a dart board, 4 speaker stereo... We've thrown many parties in the "Barage" as we call it. This will be the biggest. The attached car port will be converted into a dungeon like space. Fully lit with black light, a fog machine, and other spooky stuff. Our bathroom will be made to look like a crime scene. Taped body outline on the floor. The shower covered in blood along with bloody handprints, and a strobe light to add dramatic effect. I also bought a mirror decal that is see through. When you look in the bathroom mirror you'll see your reflection... but also that of Jason Vorhees in hockey mask.
Should be a good time. Come to Portland, you all are invited.

I have been dressing up as Darth Vader for as long as I can remember,...the kids have always gotten a big kick out of it, parents too. Despite my constant dismissal of the obvious, all the kids THINK and INSIST they know it's me, so this year I'm gonna get one of the other neighbors to wear the costume while I walk around with Darth,...this should keep them guessing for another year. And then I'm not lying to the kids either,.....
