Gotta Ask? Is this something that Just Happened or did it need to be done say in June? For a Center to be out right now with the current situation of very limited practice and no pre -season I seriously hope this just happened. If not then I see why we drafted the kid from UW. I like Tretter, a very smart guy and the Player Rep for the Union, Upstate/Western NY guy. This is really crappy timing if we are just deciding to have a procedure done now. I hope I am wrong.

Now I can't find the comment saying 2 weeks. Everything now is more or less no comment so maybe it is stretching out to a month or two. Maybe more?

We'll see.

If I had to bet, I'd say it was something that should've happened sooner, but didn't largely because of the 'rona putting the kaibosh on these types of procedures.

Thing is, it is like that on most teams. I don't think it is exclusive to the Browns.

I guess so. But you don't usually rotate offensive linemen like you do defensive linemen. If we had an injury on the offensive line at least guys like Kendall Lamm and Chris Hubbard have NFL starting experience.

Probably a little competition "just in case", but most likely camp legs and a little bit of just taking a look at guys for future knowledge.

3/4 of those are well-known vet kickers.

I don't know. That is a lot of camp legs.

I think that is a COVID-ineligible precaution. Teams won't carry (2) kickers and if one is out awhile with the virus, teams will be looking for available guys who they have at least seen in person. JMO

That Saints game with our winless streak on the line pretty much sealed his fate.

Plus, those guys are fairly well-known. Do we really need to scope them out?

That is my thinking. Heck, Parkey played for us.

I don't think Seibert is a definite for the job.

Just my opinion. I thought he was just ok last year.

Bringing in the four kickers I believe is a sign the team feels the same. JMO.

Did he miss to many fg’s last year or to many extra points or both last year ...

I’m not sure why they brought those 4 guys in .. no clue what to read into it ... i never heard of the MacLaine or whatever his name is ... u may be right ...

IF they were worried about Siefert I think one of them would have been signed by now or others would have been brought in ... maybe they have and we just haven’t heard of it ...

Weird ...

Looks like he was 25 of 29 on FG last year and and 30 of 35 on extra points. I don't study this type of thing, but those both seem average at best. The extra point misses seem bad.

I don't remember all of the misses but I remember the missed XP in the Buffalo game. Gave Buffalo the chance to drive down and kick a game tying FG, which they missed.

I know when he lines up, as a fan, I don't feel confident.

I recall that his misses seemed to come in bunches. He'd be totally solid for a while, but when he missed one, it seemed he was gonna miss more that day.

Sooo... maybe there were injuries, or something??

The fg’s u can’t really read to much into the raw stats .. u need to know the distances, weather and how the hold was ...

The extra points ... IMO thats too many ...

He was a rookie ... they almost all struggle ...

When’s the last time u felt comfie when we attempted a fg’s or extra point ... naughtydevil

From what I have heard Seibert is something like 19/21 on FG's so far in camp. I think this was just always a part of the plan for Berry / Stefanski and has nothing to do with Seibert's performance or an injury.

I think the Browns are looking at kickers because Seibert is dealing w/an injury. I don't think they were displeased w/his performance.

Of course, I could be wrong.

Anyone hear any news regarding Kevin Johnsons injury today (lacerated liver during practice) seems like the injuries are really showing themselves this year...

I don't think we know yet. It depends on the severity of the injury.

A serious lacerated liver could be a year recovery.

A very mild case might only take a couple of weeks to recover from.

Most likely 2-4 months from what I have seen.

Good news about KJ

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

The Cleveland Browns have made the following roster moves:

Claimed (1):

WR Damion Willis

Willis is 6-3, 204 pounds and in his second NFL season out of Troy. Originally signed by Cincinnati as an undrafted free agent in 2019, Willis appeared in 10 games with two starts as a rookie. He recorded nine receptions for 82 yards. He is a native of Meridian, Miss.

No corresponding move is necessary as the team will receive a roster exemption for Willis and he will not count against the roster limit until he is permitted in the building in accordance with the Screening/Testing Protocol.

Sounds like a practice body. Averaged less than 10 yds a catch.not good.
