I'm not going to accept any apologies when Trump is finally gone, but I am more than willing to forgive those who support him as long as they have adjusted their behavior prior to that time.
I have nothing against being conservative or republican, but leave that teabanger trumpian bigotry crap behind you.
We truly are all in this together and have to find a way to live together after Trump. But not one second before he is gone.

I like that post and I am going to try and build off it. I hope I don't upset you or arch or anyone, but I probably will.
For years, I have preached that we try and work together. I have asked that we try to bridge the gap instead of widening the divide. I have asked for tolerance if not acceptance. I have said we don't have to agree on our ideologies, but we can at least respect the rights of others to express their opinions. I have asked that we collaborate despite our differences in order to build upon the greater good.
I am not going to go into a lot of detail about this because if I did, it will give ammunition to people who want to shoot down the real message, but I was mocked for those beliefs and people misrepresented my positions. I got mad and fought back. My fighting nature is a strength and a weakness.
My bottom line is that I really wish we could all be reasonable. I think Clem's last post was reasonable. We all don't have to be perfect. We all make mistakes. Shall we use grudges as crutches? Or, shall we cast them aside and walk strongly into the future?
Those choices are individual ones. Do you all want to be part of the problem or part of the solution?
Awhile back, I started a thread in EE and Clem said that Covid would reveal character. I think he was correct. I have seen both ugliness and beauty in the reactions of people to the virus. Unfortunately, more ugliness than beauty.
The cool thing about life is that even though you make poor decisions, there is time to change your game. Y'all still have time to drop the ugliness and become beautiful by supporting the move to work together instead of furthering the divide. The choice is yours.
I worry that the freedom of choice is running out. Our country is at a cross-roads. Stop the selfishness on both sides and work together to become a cohesive and productive nation. We will never convert the extremists on either side, but the rational folks need to unite in order to overcome the crisis that our country is facing.

Yep, false report. I looked up the sources that reported Biden wouldn't debate, but it was sources that equated to Roger Brown on the right.

I just got of a week of banned camp for taking you to the woodshed over attacking the 'club'... funny how I never said a damn thing that one of you didn't say that was equally as bad, yet neither of you went to camp. This entire thread is crazy. O'Rourke got very little support in the Democratic primaries. So little in fact he was one of the first to drop out. What this shows is his views are not shared by most in the party. So the entire "What O'Rourke said" means nothing.
There is zero evidence to even indicate that Biden has ever endorsed "taking anyone's guns".
But don't let that stop anyone from saying it. It seems the most gullible among us are quite willing to buy into it. Yet before you do, please remember the past few decades.

Let's not forget that Dems are pure socialists, want to give everything away and tax everyone to death - while the GOP is for small government and conservative fiscal spending and reduce government spending.... Swish mentioned other propaganda that gets peddled each election. And the beat goes on. I am sure their marketing campaign will resonate with many regardless of facts .... and I am sure the Dems will be guilty of something similar. We've already seen Biden make false claims about Trump. I don't lump any large group as all being the same. Not Democrats because obviously one of the most moderate candidates on the ticket won the nomination. Not all Republicans because may of them see what's been going on. Not all protestors because it's plain to see that from a percentage standpoint the number of those committing violence are small. Not all cops because there are a vast majority of good ones among the bad ones.
