This could mean that Trumps gonna kick Pence to the curb and pick an ex-bunny as his new running mate...

Probably none.. but if the Dems were smart and allowed Tulsi to have a fair shot at the nomination and she won it? I know a lot of Trump voters who said they would have considered voting for her this time around instead.

I know a lot of Trump voters who said they would have considered voting for her this time around instead. I would have voted for Tulsi, if she had won the nomination. She's still too far left for me, but she seemed trustworthy, and willing to compromise to get things done. Probably why she gained no traction in the primaries.

She's more than qualified, so why would that even matter? Whether she's qualified or not doesn't matter. There are also qualified black men, white men, Latino men, and he ruled them all out without consideration.... He should have just shut up because now, regardless of how qualified she is, she will be viewed by many as a prop. Right wingers weren't going to like the pick no matter which way he went.. he just made it very easy for them.

I would have went with Warren I would have loved Warren as VP -- I think there is an election risk though - as Warren evokes "socialist" to many people -- in a way that Harris does not.

Kamala is a trap for the right. its guaranteed that someone on fox news or in the WH is gonna say something beyond dumb, and there goes whatever narrative you thought was gonna work in their favor. besides, she's already been tested on the debate stage, and her information is already out there. Kamala is about to embarrass Pence on stage.

people forget that biden has promised a female VP for months now. the whole "what about men" narrative already ran its course. even the republicans knew it was gonna be a woman.
as of right now, the only credible angle the right has on Harris is to try and attack the issue over whether enough black americans support her or not.
the problem with that narrative is that its always gonna sound fake, mainly due to the fact that the right has decided to be the Neo-Confederacy ideology, so they don't have the credibility to say much of anything.
which means they will have no choice but to stick to policies.
not saying Biden is gonna win, but the likelihood of that happening just went up.

I doubt it, but it IS very possible. Problem is, we aren't voting for vice president. Basement Joe will speak his way into a hole, and keep on talking. HE is the enemy the left has positioned front and center. On the other hand, I guess the left's vp nomination IS important because if Biden/Harris win, it will mean biden gets relegated to photo ops.

Biden's age is why the VP was more important than ever for THIS election cycle. i actually like the fact that Biden didn't pick warren or worse, someone even left of her, even though i really like Warren. now the appeal from independents for biden is that much stronger. guaranteed somebody on the right is gonna walk straight into the trap.

Not my pick - I think she has some issues in her past that I don't like so much. I preferred Warren - regardless of her far left policies on some issues, I think Warren is articulate, smart and that rare politician that tells you what they think and feel.
Kamala is going to be an attack dog in any debate and she will savage Pence like you ain't seen. Not in a mean, name calling Trump way ... in a fact filled, won't let you change the subject or bring your lies into the debate sort of way. While I think Biden has every chance of being roasted by Trump - the beat down Pence is going to take is going to be worse.

Best pick he could’ve gone with I don't know if that is saying much. In a time where the issue of racial inequality in the legal system is front, center and on fire (figuratively and literally)... its a very curious choice because as AG Kamala did quite a bit to perpetuate those same disparities. I DO think it was wise for the Dems to go for a "law and order" candidate however her record may be problematic for them. While I wouldn't characterize Trump's prison reform as anything hugely monumental, he can at least say that he helped a number of people get out of excessive prison sentences while pointing out that Kamala kept people in longer than their sentences were in order to get cheap labor out of them. I don't know a whole lot about her, but I wonder if Keisha Lance Bottoms might have been a better "law and order" candidate for the Dems. I guess we'll see.

honestly i thought Biden was gonna pull the ultimate trick and get Michelle obama as his VP.
there would've been nothing but panic on the right. would've saw a record # of women coming out to vote.

Kamala is a trap for the right. its guaranteed that someone on fox news or in the WH is gonna say something beyond dumb, and there goes whatever narrative you thought was gonna work in their favor. Which is ironic because they blamed her dropping out of the democratic primaries on racism and sexism imposed on her by democrats... besides, she's already been tested on the debate stage, and her information is already out there.
Kamala is about to embarrass Pence on stage. Harris is a strong debater and I'm sure she will be fine... and it won't surprise me at all if you THINK she embarrasses him, I'm sure most on the left will claim that whether it's true or not.. but we shall see. It's not like he's untested.

i agree, Harris record as AG is gonna be a sore spot for liberals.
the issue is that you have to balance that with Senator Harris, who liberals love.
and again, her appeal is that she isn't warren or bernie-style left, and as somebody who's been part of the system, she has fresh ideas (relatively speaking) on how to reform the system, which is gonna be huge for Biden.

Maybe it's just me - or as you seem to want to suggest maybe people on the left just can't be impartial (smh).... but Pence is one of the most un-charasmatic, uninspiring, listless, monotone, vacuous individuals I have ever seen in virtually any walk of life.

I think more than anything his performance is what tipped the election in Trump's favor. You have to remember, even early Trump supporters were wondering about him being a loose cannon. Seeing Pence maintain his composure in contrast to Kaine's asshattery made a lot of Trump voters more comfortable.

Possibly correct.
Biden has had near 50 years to do something. What has he done? Other than gotten rich on the public dole.

thats odd cause us liberals blamed it on the fact that she basically lost her momentum and then started making odd comments.
and her losing the main ticket debates but ending up on the main ticket anyway blows a hole in the right's narrative. that attack would've been more effective if he picked a white woman, because then the right/fox news could claim racism and really plant that seed.
oh well.

hell i can't tell you either. but i absolutely view biden as a placeholder so i don't really care. i mean Trump basically was a placeholder seeing as he put his son-in-law in charge of everything. so even with Biden as a placeholder POTUS: Harris > Kushner.

also, i want to make this clear:
Devil, DC, Arch: you guys idea about how Harris will be viewed amongst liberals is very valid.
im simply saying the only thing the right/trump/fox news can do is indirectly plant divisive seeds, because any direct attack only plants a target on them based on their own past/current comments dealing with race and gender.
fair or not, they have to tip-toe with personal non-policy attacks on Harris, because she is NOT hillary clinton toxic whatsoever.

In terms of strategy, do you think the Dems try to put Kamala front and center over Biden? Try to get it to look more like a Trump vs. Harris election? I think there's Pros and Cons for the Dems: PROS: -You get Trump punching down and Kamala punching up -It'll be easier to keep touting Trump as a racist and misogynist which I don't think will change anyone's minds about anything, but it will keep the base energized CONS: -By pushing Biden in to the background the Dems essentially admit Biden isn't fit for office. I don't know how good of a look that is going to be for them though. OR do you keep Kamala at her level, go toe to toe with Pence, but light up the campaign trail and take Trump on there as would any other VP candidate?
