Since the end of the draft I've seen the subject of Joe Burrow comparisons to Baker Mayfield. One of the intriqing hot takes is that Some believe Burrow will actually break BM rookie record for TD passes. Ive havent heard it brought up much On local radio.
Any thoughts if Burrow will break it or not ?

The record stood for what, 20 years?
And now they are wondering if a first round rookie QB who had one good college season and is on a really bad team is going to break the record?
I'd say the odds are small.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Anything can happen but I'll lean towards no. The Bengals offensive line might be the reason why.
Also, the coaches have already said something to the effect that giving the rock more to Mixon will be a priority, so that might decrease the volume of opportunity.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

It's possible, but the odds are so stacked against it that it is ridiculous to even speculate in favor of it. There is literally no valid reason to think he might.
He has to actually play a game. He has to play enough games in the one season to rack them up. His team has to play well enough to get him there. He has to play well enough against NFL defenses to not hold his team back.
THEN, he needs a fair bit of luck.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

I was reading bold predictions from CBS sports For every team and the guy thought Burrow would Break Mayields record based on the offensive skill positons in Cincy

Even way back at the schedule release they set up a way to play a shortened season.
Even if they get the most out of 13 games, I don't think Bengal Wr's are good enough, I moreso feel the Bengal defense isn't good enough to get them the ball back enough,
Bengal fans have always been delusional, seriously telling me, starting 1-7 after 1 win that they would win the SB that year.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

One can only wonder what the # would be if Baker had started 2018...of course there was no way that was going to happen.

Their OL is probably suspect and we might not even play 14 games, so I’d bet no
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I think Burrow ends up with 24 TD and 18 INT.
3896 yards.

He could but his OL is ranked #31. He might get broken early.
I am not talking about a injury, more that deer in the headlights look.
Think Matt Schwab.

No. Cincy always exaggerates and under-delivers. They have their Anointed Child, but need him to be effective given the group. If he is, he is. Unconcerned. Let Baker beat Baker. This is a year filled with hurdles.

Who cares ... I’m way more concerned with Bake’s play this year than some record he set two years ago ...

Yeah, Baker is the primary focus .. this is a very important year for him. Obviously the pandemic and another new system is not ideal, BUT he does need to put forth a better performance than last season. He’s a #1 overall pick entering year 3 with GREAT weapons, an improved OL, and a system that will be tailored to him
