I opted out of my tickets, I don't really want to head to the sports bar. I am over 70, I don't want to catch the grunge.

Can you get games online? I am not talking some complicated crap. I dealt with complications for over 40 years. Those days are done. Who do I pay? We have the money. It's not what it cost to go up for one game, let along 5-6-7 games that I usually do..

I just want to sit here, 3 beers in the cooler, half a sub, watch the first half, go take a leak, get 2 more beers and the other half of sub and watch the 2nd half. It's not complicated. There has to be a way.

How do I do that?

My house. But, the drive would be the same. No room fee, though, free room and board.

Being out of Market, I used to struggle finding games. I now do a google search for "reddit" and the two teams and eventually find a thread with game links. Sometimes they work well, sometimes not so well, but they're game streams.

It would be the same drive give or take a few miles. I appreciate the offer. I really do. I still have a couple of 1st cousins living in Toledo. I was born there. I haven't seen them in near 50 years. Maybe it's nearing time to go say hello.

If you have a "smart" TV, I would guess you could buy what you want on NFL.com. Or you could just move back to Fairview Park, although their property taxes have skyrocketed. The Fairview Theater and Pat Joyce's are gone, but Gunselman's Tavern and Beckers Bakery are still there.

I appreciate the input, but no, I don't want that. I don't want a search, I don't want a maybe, I just want the game.

Just eat my sub, drink a few brews, watch the game. My attitude isn't suited for looking for things and maybe being there..just being honest.

They are pretty much giving it away free this year to just about everybody. Just have to call and ask.

If you don't have DirecTV, find someone that does and ask for their online password and watch it that way. Throw them $50.

I know the theater is gone.....as a kid if you picked up 10 popcorn boxes kids threw around, you would get a free pass to next weeks matinee. Mom didn't know. My brother, sister ao25nd I would collect our free passes and still get our $1.50.

$.25 to get in, $.25 each for popcorn, candy bar and a Coke. Times have changed. You don't get a candy bar, a Coke and popcorn for .$25 anymore. More like $20

I lived on W 219....a glasses store on the corner at Lorain....a whipped dairy joint on W220 and Lorain. Went there all the time. Gillis Sweet was my school....easy walk from the house. We are talking old days. A few blocks down was Beckers donuts. It didn't matter if it was 5 degrees outside. My parents gave me a few bucks and I had to go get donuts on Sunday mornings, which I gladly did..they had good doughnuts.

A edit.....have to mention Oswalds. A Deli.....cooked rotisserie chicken mostly.. One winter my brother threw a snowball at me. I ducked and it hit Oswalds window. He came out and grabbed my brother by the neck saying he was calling the police.

I begged the guy not to call the police, I was near tears....his female assistant came out and smoothed things over like women are good at doing and we went on our way to school.

There was a announcement over the school intercom that students are not to throw snowballs. That straightened my spine.

I suspended my DirecTV account at the beginning of the pandemic. I have it only to watch sports. If football actually starts I will reactivate and I am assuming they will be throwing everything at me for free.

I do miss the old auditorium-style theaters - ours was the Madison, on Madison Ave near West Blvd. Dad used to drop my brother and I off every Saturday afternoon with money for popcorn and a Coke. In retrospect, I think Saturday afternoons were my parents "alone" time, which is nice and also kind of gross to think about at the same time.

AT&T Claims Restrictions on NFL Sunday Ticket Streaming Have Not Changed for 2020 Season

AT&T said it is not changing the restrictions for the NFL Sunday Ticket out-of-market games package for the upcoming season.

To purchase Sunday Ticket, you must still be either a DirecTV subscriber, or — if you don’t subscribe to the satellite TV service — you may be eligible to get the streaming version of the service if you live in “select areas within various metropolitan cities,” if you can’t get satellite TV, or if you’re a college student.

A report Friday on blog site TVAnswerMan.com noted that the streaming version of Sunday Ticket is available in 29 U.S. markets to non-DirecTV subscribers. According to AT&T, this isn’t new (and the package is available only in some areas of those markets).

“The eligibility requirements [for NFL Sunday Ticket] have remained the same for the last five years,” AT&T AVP of corporate communications Jim Greer said.

AT&T insists nothing has changed in where and how it offers the nflsundayticket.tv streaming service to non-DirecTV subscribers. But if that’s true, then the company over the last few years has been quietly offering the online-only version of Sunday Ticket more widely than previously believed. It seems clear that AT&T wouldn’t want to promote the fact that you can subscribe to the pricey Sunday Ticket package without also needing to pay for DirecTV — because the company would prefer consumers buy the pay-TV bundle as well.

Last year, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the league wanted to expand the distribution of Sunday Ticket to online platforms in addition to DirecTV, which would have ended the satcaster’s exclusive rights on the out-of-market games package. But that hasn’t happened.

According to AT&T’s website, nflsundayticket.tv “is only available to non-DirecTV customers who live in select multi-dwelling unit buildings (apartments, condos, etc.,) nationwide in the U.S. where DirecTV service is not available, live in select areas within various metropolitan cities, live in a residence that has been verified as unable to receive DirecTV satellite TV service due to obstructions blocking access to satellite signals, or are college students.”

DirecTV has offered nflsundayticket.tv with those same restrictions since 2016. Back in 2014, it made the streaming service available to non-DirecTV users in three metro areas — New York, San Francisco, and Philadelphia — in addition to consumers who couldn’t receive satellite TV, and has since broadened that to parts of more than two dozen markets. DirecTV first started selling Sunday Ticket consumers who did not subscribe to DirecTV in 2010.

Sunday Ticket first launched in 1994 on DirecTV, and in the U.S. it’s the only place to (legally) watch all of the NFL’s regular-season Sunday daytime matchups.

DirecTV is offering a special promo to new subscribers, giving them NFL Sunday Ticket Max — which includes the Red Zone Channel showing every scoring drive as well as the DirecTV Fantasy Zone Channel — for no additional cost, if they sign a two-year contract and buy a Choice package or higher. Otherwise, the base 2020 NFL Sunday Ticket costs $293.94 and the Sunday Ticket Max tier is $395.94 (to both DirecTV and non-DirecTV customers).

I appreciate it, that won't work. You have to go with the TV package since it is offered in this area.

I can do what I did when I was a kid. I can just listen on the radio. I have Sirius/XM radio in the car.

Just back it out of the garage, burn a gallon or two and listen to the game. I don't mind radio calls. I'd rather watch, but it is what it is. I listen to the Indians on 1100 AM nearly every night when I turn in....same with the Cavs. I can watch highlights later on ESPN. Put a few brews in the cooler, half a sub and listen in the car in the driveway.

I don't mind going to a restaurant and having dinner for an hour every now and then. I just don't want to sit in a sports bar for 3-4 hours every Sunday, considering the times.

U can listen to your Sirius account on any of your devices ... phone, iPad, tablet, laptop, desktop ... no need to sit in your car ....

Then if the tv package u have has the red zone package u can put it on that channel and when were featured u can catch some that way ... I’m pretty sure spectrum had the red zone package last year but i have DTV so a not 100% ...

There’s also a bar by me that has a few tables outside u can see games on ... not sure if i can get them to put us on one of those tv’s but I’m sure gonna try IF THERE STILL OPEN and have the ticket .....

Restaurants are getting hammered and a lot won’t re-open and the sports bars that do may not carry the package .... will it draw the packed crowds they need to justify the cost of the NFL ticket on a bar ... i wouldn’t want to take the risk although not taking it may just be a different form of suicide anyhow ...

Tough Tough times in so many ways ...

We always sit out on the covered patio. They give us volume out there. I was wondering myself about if they would carry the package. I may have to go for some wings tomorrow and find out. I just don't want to sit around people for 3-4 hours.

Why not outside with a mask? I would. Right now it looks like I’ll be in NY until at least turkey day but once mid October hits your not gonna be outside anymore ... due to that we have no places with outside tv’s ... I’d go outside and wear a mask for 3 - 4 hours ...

Most of the bars here have outside patios and a lot of them have TVs out there. You just have to call around.

We have a outdoor patio. That is where we sit. We get 7 TV's and the sound. We sit there the whole season. It's like sitting in the dawg pound. Dress for the weather. It's covered, but not shuttered. We usually have 6 TV's on the Browns and one on the Bills if our Bills fan is there. If not, we pick one other game, whatever looks like the best match-up. 3 TV's at the other end are open to other fans. If we are playing well, we might have 25-30 fans there.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

So does the Green area mean we don't get the blue? Everyone knows the Cinci area doesn't watch Bengals games.

I have a firestick. I'm also an older dude who isn't as tech savvy as you younger guys. Are you telling me I can use that firestick to watch all the NFL games on my TV for $42.99 a month?
