In case anyone hasn't been paying attention -=-=- how many posts have we seen 40 make recently talking about how he is giving fake answers to polling questions and pollsters to deliberately obstruficate the nationwide polls ??? ..... If that had been what I have said you would have a point. There have been times where only a few people have been videoed and then a claim made without anything to substantiate it they are members of Antifa. I have brought that fact up. But what I've said about those who riot are they are a small percentage of the protestors. I didn't expect you to actually keep up or be accurate though.

Well here's the thing. You had OCD on what I view as one extreme. Then you had fish on the other extreme. Both throwing trash.

Now I'm not going to get involved with which side threw the most trash. We have extremes on both sides. Both inciting things to the next level.

If I were one that decided to throw stones in this situation, I would be throwing stones in both directions.

I have no idea if you saw my comments to you yesterday, but I explained I'm not going to get involved in taking sides on the extremism we see on this board. In case you've missed it I have enough battles in this place of my own to deal with.

I've made it plain that I'm not a supporter of what I view as extremism from either side. So hopefully you'll excuse me if I don't plan to pick a side of the extremism we see on this board from both sides to be pointing fingers at one side or the other.

It would seem if unity is one of your core principles you can understand my reasoning.

Once again we have cries of Antifa with nothing factual to support it. But it is the Trump method. If you repeat something often enough people will just believe it. And there's a certain someone here consistently employing that method.

Louisiana AG warns violent crime in US will reach 'epidemic' levels: 'There's a tipping point that's coming in this country'
AG Jeff Landry warns that crime in the U.S. will get worse before it gets better

Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry believes that it was inevitable that violent crime in the U.S. will get worse and warns that given the current state of affairs in cities across the country, the worst is yet to come.

In a phone interview with Fox News, Landry said that while he has tried to be tough on crime in his state, he realized years ago that in other parts of the country there were signs that crime would reach “epidemic” levels.

"When I became attorney general back in 2016, one of the first things that we tackled was we took a very proactive fight against crime," Landry said. "I predicted four and five years ago that this country was headed towards an extreme violent crime outbreak, that it was going to become an epidemic."

With homicides and gun violence on the rise in cities across the country, Landry said he is not surprised.

“I called that. And this thing is something that’s been building, and has only been heightened by this particular lawlessness,” he said. “I do believe that there’s a tipping point that’s coming in this country because I believe that every violent crime creates an exponential number of victims.”

Pushes to overhaul law enforcement across the country by stripping police department of funds will not help matters either, according to Landry, who is a Republican.

“I can tell you that defunding the police is certainly not an answer,” he said.

Landry and like-minded colleagues in the Republican Attorneys General Association are gearing up for their summer meeting, planned around the timing of the Republican National Convention. Democrats are winding down their convention this week, and Landry is not confident in how their candidates would address crime if elected to office.

Landry said the ticket of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris is the most liberal “that has ever been placed before the American voter in the history of this country.” He accused Harris of being “bipolar” on crime, saying that she was tough on crime in the past, but now appears to be changing her position.

Harris has supported the decision of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti to slash funding for police by approximately $150 million, and has stated that she believes in reallocating money from police to other social programs. The movement to defund police gained momentum following the death of George in Minneapolis. Floyd’s death sparked a nationwide movement against police brutality and treatment of Black Americans in particular.

Landry took issue with Democrats’ claims that the criminal justice system is plagued by systemic racism, pointing out that many of the large cities where people claim racism is the problem are run by Democrats and have been for years.

“If there's systemic racism in Chicago or in Minnesota, then that means Democrats are responsible for that systemic racism because they have been in control, they have been running those cities and those police departments for decades now,” he said.

A Portland man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly struck a federal agent with a wooden baseball bat during a riot in July.

Dakotah Ray Horton, 24, was charged for assaulting a U.S. Marshal with a bat while the officer knelt down to assist an arrest, according to a Department of Justice press release. The alleged incident occurred on July 27 near the Mark O. Hatfield federal courthouse, Attorney General William Barr said in the release.

The marshal sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the assault, according to the release. A deputy U.S. Marshal arrested Horton in the Rock Creek area of Washington County two weeks after the U.S. Marshals Service distributed a bulletin with pictures of Horton accompanied by a physical description, the release said.

“Assaulting a federal officer with a dangerous weapon is a serious violent crime,” Barr said in the release. “I applaud the tenacity of the deputy U.S. Marshals who, for multiple weeks, worked tirelessly to identify this defendant.”

Federal agents agreed to withdraw from Portland in late July, but violence has continued.

Police declared a riot Wednesday night and used tear gas to subdue a violent group outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement building as the city experienced its 84th day of unrest, The Oregonian reported. Rioters threw explosives and glass bottles at the officers throughout the night, according to the DOJ release.
