Yet they are all direct quotes from Republicans. You can shoot the messenger if you like. But the message came straight from the mouths of those who now act as though they never said it.
You are right though. Your comment was hilarious.

Key phrase in your sentence is "seem to". He's the exact same person they described back then. Trump has a run in with anyone and everyone who doesn't kiss his ass 24/7. That's why he keeps firing people.

So you are now comparing just any person on the street to a president or presidential candidate? You don't find it odd you have to search the internet to find someone on the other side as nasty as the man you support for president?

Just took a ride on the rural backroads in NW Ohio today, farmland and several small towns. The Trump signs outnumbered the Biden signs by a huge margin. I didn't start the trip looking for political signs, but I wish I would have kept count. I was really surprised to see this.

Speaking of stupid, you do realize if Biden were to win the election the first thing the Dem Establishment will do is flush their system of Progressives.
They will crush Bernie and cut you out. It is how they roll.
How many times do you have to be kicked in the teeth before you get it? They are not your friends.
GC, President Trump only wants a fair count of the vote.
Pelosi, (on the USPS) " Don't pay any attention to what the president is saying, because it is all designed to suppress the vote"
My Translation Listen to what President Trump is saying, because Trump is trying to suppress the democrats flooding the post office with thousands of un-asked-for ballots mailed to people who may have died, or be dogs or cats names, in an effort to change the natural vote count into a count that favors the democratic party, Which is in effect nullifying the vote of thousands of Amercans trying to follow the rules.

Yet Trump is proclaiming tha Biden/Harris ticket as the most progressive ever
Am I perfect? No Am I trying to be a better person? Also no
Amazing that it can simultaneously be the most progressive and most anti progressive ticket at the same time. You guys can twist anything to fit your desired perspective.

I am not too surprised. We were in Georgia a couple of weeks ago for the medical thing. We rented a house in the Tidewater [close to Savannah] to let me recoup a bit before driving home. There were Trump signs everywhere.
The media, Holloywood, and some big cities are full of folks who support what is going on w/the Dems, but I suspect there are a ton of hard-working, voting Americans who are completely turned-off by what's going on w/that party.
Think back to last election. The media was going off about how Trump had no chance. Board members were dancing because they thought the election was over. Then, the American voters spoke. They keep quiet most of the time and let others scream and holler. They then make their voices heard w/their votes.
Most folks are not into looting, rioting, burning, violence, handouts, abuse of the white race, etc. They take it all in stride and then they vote.
This election is going to be interesting. I think most of working America does not approve of what is happening in regards to the Democratic party, BLM, the protests, the looting, the rioting, wealth distribution, reparations, etc.........but, they are also sick of Trump's shenanigans. A lot of people I have talked to think he is doing a good job, but wish he would shut his mouth. His mouth might cost him the election. Regardless, even if the Dems win, their run will probably be short-lived because they don't give a damn about the working man.
Joe Biden’s DNC Speech Sounded A Lot Like A Jack Layton Quote
Some lines sounded very similar to the late NDP leader’s last words to Canadians.
By Melanie Woods
Former vice-president Joe Biden delivered a stirring speech as he accepted the party’s nomination for president at the Democratic National Convention Thursday night.
“Let us begin you and I together, one nation under God. United in our love for America. United in our love for each other,” Biden said. “For love is more powerful than hate, hope is more powerful than fear and light is more powerful than dark.”
Biden’s words about the power of love over hate were heralded as inspirational, as he looks to defeat President Donald Trump in the November election. Jack Layton speaks to the media in Toronto on May 3, Nathan Denette/The Canadian Press Jack Layton speaks to the media in Toronto on May 3, 2011.
There’s just one thing: Canadians have heard those words before. Or, at least, a version of them.
In his final message to Canadians, the late NDP leader Jack Layton promised something quite similar.
“My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world.”
Many Canadians on Twitter were quick to take notice of the similarity.

Others were touched that Layton’s words were once again being mobilized for change.
Last night, Joe Biden invoked the words of Jack Layton. These thoughts from Jack are also mine and many of you in the NDP and of millions of Canadians.
Let's make sure these words, Jack's letter, help bring change.

My fellow Canadians, be glad that Biden is emulating/quoting Jack Layton. Be proud of that. Get your heads out of your asses and support our neighbours to the south in getting Trump the [censored] out of office. FFS. — Violet Fawkes (she/her) (@fireandhoney) August 21, 2020
Oh wow, so many people accusing Biden of “plagiarizing” Jack Layton in his speech last night. Two things:
1. He used some similar language, yes. Probably unintentionally.
2. I don’t think Jack would mind. He wanted everyone to think this way. https://t.co/7Rz8TgTdSU — Stevie Jackson 🏳️‍🌈 (@steviekayjay) August 21, 2020
Biden’s campaign did not respond to HuffPost Canada’s request for comment on whether Layton was a reference for the speech.
But even Layton wasn’t the first Canadian politician to mobilize “Love is better than hate” phrasing. That honour goes to prime minister Wilfrid Laurier, who said something similar in 1916.
“I shall remind you that already many problems rise before you: problems of race division, problems of creed difference, problems of economic conflict, problems of national duty and national aspiration,” Laurier said during a speech in London, Ont.
“Let me tell you that for the solution of these problems you have a safe guide, an unfailing light if you remember that faith is better than doubt and love is better than hate.”
A 19th century conservative Canadian prime minister (Wilfrid Laurier), a 20th century socialist opposition leader (Jack Layton) and a 21st century liberal U.S. presidential candidate (Joe Biden) agree love is better than hate. Hm, is that the starting place? — Kelly Toughill (@ktoughill) August 21, 2020
Biden has been accused of using other politicians’ words before. His first presidential run in 1988 was halted amid multiple instances of plagiarism, including lifting specific phrases and from a British Labour Party politician Neil Kinnock while making closing remarks at a debate.
Why that's Trump country? Hell Ohio is Trump country. I 100% expect Ohio to be one of his strongest states because apparently stupid is in the water.
It's stupid to think these are stupid people. A lot of these yards were from the homes of well to do folks and responsible citizens that work for a living. I know some of these people. They are not ignorant. They are not racist bigots. But there's a reason they're voting for Trump. Probably for the same reason so many people voted for him (and Hillary) in the last election....pure hatred for the other side.
And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul. - John Muir
I don't call ignoring the fact that a man is a hate monger and the most divisive man that has ever sat in the White House as stupid. I don't call ignoring that this same man has talked down to called names and fired anyone who dares question anything he does as stupid. I don't call ignoring that a man has stated that he thinks he's so powerful that he can do anything he wants any time he wants, like grabbing a woman by the vagina as stupid.
I call it selling your principals down the river at any cost because deep in your heart somewhere, you must support such behavior or you couldn't vote for such a man.

This is a constant theme from the people close to Trump, denying it is virtually impossible. I wonder if supporters actually know this deep down and just deny because they are pot committed or something like that?
The more things change the more they stay the same.
I think they only deny it publicly. Deep down I'm pretty sure they know it's true. Let's just face the facts, they simply don't care. They have found their vehicle to do their name calling for them. They have found a man to spread chaos and confusion. They have found their man to say hateful things to those they oppose and sow an even further divide across our nation.
They know what he is. They know who he is. And they just don't give a damn.

"Principled Republicans are jumping ship," the two-term state senator said, and he's disappointed that "Republican officeholders in Nebraska have not spoken up against this president and his dreadful policies."
McCollister pointed to former Nebraska Sen. Chuck Hagel, former Secretary of State Colin Powell and former Ohio Gov. John Kasich as Republican leaders who made the case against Trump at this week's Democratic National Convention.
