I will add that other blacks agree w/us. Jay Williams, the former Duke PG and high draft choice whose career ended due to injury and is now a commentator for ESPN spoke of the double-standards.
We will never make things "right" by applying double standards, no matter which side they favor.
I always hated the double-standards that favored whites and other majority groups. I'm not changing my tune about it when the minority groups are favored.
What right is right and what's wrong is wrong.
I should add this...............I don't think Thom Brenneham should have been fired and I don't think Montrez should have been suspended. Stuff happens and people make mistakes. Punish repeated patterns that display a pattern. Don't freak out over an isolated incident.
Imo verbal abuse and smack happening on the playing field In the heat of battle by players is fairly common and should be handled differently then comments made by broadcasters on air.
But yeah this fits your black vs white agenda you seem to be pushing for just like trump does. And trump the guy you’re voting for is the king of double standards. So Please continue.

I agree about the heat of the moment, but had it been a white player calling a black player a blank, there would be outrage and the white player would have been suspended. And you would have been making that farting noise out of your mouth and blaming Trump for the racist comment.

Maybe....Maybe not. Ask Myles Garrett.
And really, farting noises? You really are becoming the voice of trump supporters aren’t you? Good job. Shows your maturity. Please continue.

Roger Goodell: NFL should have "listened earlier" to Kaepernick
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Sunday that he should have "listened earlier" to quarterback Colin Kaepernick about issues of police brutality and racial injustice that led Kaepernick to begin kneeling during the national anthem in 2016.
Why it matters: Activism in the wake of the police killing of George Floyd, including by top NFL players, successfully pressured the league in May to take a stand against racism, support players' right to peacefully protest, and express regret over how it handled the Kaepernick controversy.
What he's saying: "Well, the first thing I'd say is I wish we had listened earlier, Kaep, to what you were kneeling about and what you were trying to bring attention to," Goodell said in a conversation with former NFL player Emmanuel Acho.
"We had invited him in several times to have the conversation to have the dialogue. I wish we had the benefit of that. We never did. You know, we would have benefited from that. Absolutely."
"It is not about the flag. The message here is, what our players are doing is being mischaracterized. These are not people who are unpatriotic. They're not disloyal. They're not against our military. ... What they were trying to do is exercise their right to bring attention to something that needs to get fixed. That misrepresentation of who they were and what they were doing was the thing that really gnawed at me."
Perfect description of how they always flip the script.
If you can't even get the first bullet point correct, why would I keep reading?
Breonna Taylor was not asleep when she was shot! This is exactly what I was talking about in the Blake shooting thread!
Stop spreading false info!
Like I said, probably over half the NBA stars also think that the cops showed up at the wrong address and shot her while she was in bed....that isn't even close to what happened, and leaves out a lot of critical info.
So, judging by the first name listed, I'm going to say that a lot of the other names are probably the same.
Unfortunately, there is no cure for having to observe and deal with stupid people. Had some errands in a racially diverse neighborhood today, the area is maybe 30%-40% white. Was waiting in a line that was moving at a snail's pace and saw the guy in front of me was wearing a browns shirt. I commented on the shirt and we talked a little about the team. But I shouldn't have broke the ice because the guy was a 'Ken' who felt slighted because a black guy had been waited on before him and he'd been there longer. He turned to me as one of three white men in line (there were a few white women too) and said loudly that he guessed he wasn't the right skin tone to be special there...
Fortunately, I was the only one listening OR all the non white people there ignored him. The guy was an ass. Turns out the guy they took ahead of him had called in earlier and was dealing with an emergency. He was waited on next immediately after saying that, so I never had the chance to say anything to him in return. It made me mad that he assumed I would just be cool with what he said and that he put me in a bad spot because if I called him out in that environment, well I don't think he would have made it to the door without conflict. And I wasn't going to do that either, so I had to just eat it.
His ignorance was so profound that I could have hit his delete button and never gave it a second thought... Sadly that's not an option.
Libs love to say actions and speech have consequences. These people are allowed to do and say whatever their employer allows them to do. People are also allowed to not watch or contribute.
Basketball was ruined for me a long time ago, it started in Boston, Lebron made it worse, then Durant sealed it for me.
Baseball is too long to watch anything but playoff games.
I will probably never stop watching the NFL no matter what they do.
Certainly Lebron and his near constant political speech deters me away from basketball even further but it's not like I was watching anyway.
At the end of the day if the product is good, politics don't matter to me. The NFL has the near perfect product so I continue to buy it.
So once again, which party supports police brutality? I didn't know such a party existed. You know, maybe if the GOP spoke out loudly against police brutality, you wouldn't be able to claim it's political? But since they don't maybe that's the problem here?
I mean if someone wants you to vote for something this basic because the other side makes it sound like it's not important, maybe that's the reason it might be political?

NFL to close all team facilities on Election Day By John Bowden - 09/03/20 12:24 PM EDT
NFL officials said Thursday that all league facilities will close on Election Day, Nov. 3, to ensure that players and staff have adequate time to vote.
A joint press release from the NFL and NFL Players' Association released on Twitter stated that the league would also work with state election officials around the country to establish polling places at NFL stadiums as well as distribute educational material to NFL staff and players to aid in voter registration efforts.
In a one-hour program to be broadcast next week on NBC, the NFL will also highlight the league's ongoing efforts to promote social justice, according to the press release.
"These commitments are part of a continuing effort and build on the exceptional work of players and clubs over the past several years," the NFL said in a statement.
"We are proud of our current and former players and the extraordinary work that they do in our communities," it added.
The press release follows the league's announcement just days ago that every stadium would feature messages such as "End Racism" and "It Takes All Of Us" this season, and demonstrations from players in other sports leagues including the NBA, WNBA and MLB in recent weeks against police brutality and racism.
“The NFL stands with the Black community, the players, clubs and fans confronting systemic racism. We will not relent in our work,” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell reportedly said this week.
Their statements come amid national protests over the treatment of Black Americans by police, which gained steam in late May following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody and has continued for months.
Come on there is no looting and rioting. I saw it on MSNBC, it is all Trumps lies. These are peaceful protests. I mean the lady right there in front of the building in fire said it so it has gotta be true.
Now if they were mistaken and there is rioting going on, you gotta blame Trump for bailing out folks out soon as they are arrested.
Hell we now know Trump hates the military. His revamping the VA, freeing soldiers prosecuted under the previous regime for killing terrorists was all a lie.
Hey I cant wait to show the NFL my gratitude for kneeling and putting a pedofiles name on the helmet I have loved. I will respect their right to politicize the game I love and display the same support for the NFL as i do for MLB and NBA.
Amazing how much time and money these protests are saving me.
It’s interesting that you let something that really doesn’t actually effect you in any way at all, kneeling in protest, effect you so much, not watching the sports you love. To each their own. The games go on. With or without you.
Yet 93% of the protests are peaceful and they never get mentioned. I wonder why that is? And even FOX News verified all of the vile things Trump said about our veterans.
