For 35 years watching the Browns I never quit watching a game early, finally they broke me.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, fool me 35 times, I'm a Browns fan.
There's just no way this is real. We are in some kind of messed up simulation design to torture us.
EVERY GAME we let the other team score right before the half.
Different players, different schemes, coaches, owners, it doesn't matter. The stars always align.
This time our star WR drops a 3rd and 2, we kick a long FG, miss it and give them good field position and play even worse D than before to allow a TD right at the end.
The odds of his happening 300+ times out of 400 games is just so staggering.
I could deal with us being bad, but we're not, I see bad teams lose all the time, it's not nearly as painful.
I picked up rooting for the Bills during our 5 years on non-existance, and they've been TERRIBLE for most of those years, but ya know what? It never hurts like this. They're either bad or good. They're never amazingly talented and then the stars align to injure all their players while supposedly talented coaches call fake punts inside their own 20.
I'm sorry if this is ranty, and I know it borders on insane, but I just want to watch a professional football team, why is that so much to ask? I don't even care if they win anymore! That's how low my bar is!
Do you feel like you're taking crazy pills watching the Browns or is it just me?

maybe if we build a dome?
at this point the only guess i have is that we're cursed in that stadium.

Earlier this week, I saw a video clip of a guy, cover a bee hive, or wasp nest with his bare hand, then promptly shove it in his mouth.
ehh feels about the same. ( I mean "smart" wise)
Oh now Higgins plays,
down 38-6 and NOW you put Higgins in!!!!!!
Go figure!
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

We need to find a QB who can elevate the team ... and now it appears Baker isn’t that guy. He looks lost, one read/one side of the field QB ... we’re stuck in the swamp
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

The quicker we move on from Baker the better. I want to think that too, but we've just seen too many players at every position that go on to fine careers elsewhere. There's just something about this team that doesn't let players be good. Jedrick Wills injured now too. It's just every year, same thing over and over. Doesn't make any sense.

Baker was not good today. Overthrows, holding the ball. Same thing as last year.

I would like to add that Beckam looked like he was just going thru the motions. IMO, he sucked today.

The quicker we move on from Baker the better. I committed to staying committed to Baker this year and saying he needs another year no matter what. I'm still staying committed to it. The difference is Baker is no longer a good QB who had a bad season. The reality is he's a bad QB that you hope the staff can make into a good QB. So you have more ground to make up. If it looks like we will have the first pick in the draft, then all bets are off. After what we saw today from QB and coach, I like our odds.

He looks lost, one read/one side of the field QB ... we’re stuck in the swamp It's not good that Baker goes through his reads with his body and not his eyes. It takes too long. His eyes don't scan at all during his dropback. He has no anticipation of what the defense might do after the snap. Once his first read is cutoff, it takes him so long to get to his second read that everything is disjointed, there's no timing, and it makes the receivers look bad. Baker does not elevate the play of his teammates.

Nice point. I never thought of that. He shifts his hole body and gets himself off a good platform to throw

Does anyone else remember when Baker first came in during the Jets game? He had a quick release, was confident, knew what to do. What happened to that Baker? Remember when Baker seemed unstoppable against Ohio State? What happened to him.

I think teams have realized to MAKE him hold it a bit longer ... shoot the quick passing lanes and make our offense be more drop back and we’re screwed

Lincoln Riley is a wizard. I think he was able to get everything he possibly could out of baker, and Im starting to seriously believe that baker peaked in college/rookie season.

Maybe I missed it, but I do not recall seeing Baker step up in the pocket today and fire the ball. As soon as there is the slightest bit of pressure he bails from the pocket and eliminates half the field.

Or step up and run when able. He was awful, and the double-clutching and ball holding hurt us. What was the offense trying to achieve today? BM and OBJ certainly messed it up. Thanks, Siebert. We should not play zone and MG should not cover. Learn from an incredible number of mistakes. Stunk it up. We looked clueless. Let me guess: "We battled."

It actually seemed decent at first except for Hodge short arming a tipped ball that lead to fluke INT (Browns speciality). Then from that we come back... but miss the XP. I think that's where it all went wrong. I know 1 point doesn't seem like a big deal but it had that "uh oh, they're the Browns again" feeling for all the fans, and you know the players had to feel it at least a little bit. Then the fumble on the weird fake punt call and from there we had zero chance.

Ironically, a missed XP last year against TN sent us into a tailspin as well. We have a very weak minded football team ... in addition to physically weak LOL

It's not that type of emotion that's the issue.
It's the "woe is me, here we go again, let's melt down at every sign of adversity" attitude that is a requirement you have to take on to join this team.
It's why fans are so sensitive to even missing an extra point. Because we know the players are going to hang their heads and completely melt down. It's also why the Ravens scored after the missed FG today.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

"It's a marketing world." Former Cavaliers owner Ted Stepien .... considered the worst sports team owner of all time .... checks in at a robust .268, and asks "How do you like me now?"

Give Stefanski a break. Zero offseason and a 4 week crash course on the WCO with no preseason games? I am surprised they looked so good. The fake punt was stupid and if he keeps doing dumb crap like that I may jump ship but it is way too early to be throwing in the towel just yet guys. Consider the first 6 games to be our preseason. Lets see how we look the final ten games.

Fake punt was fine, execution was awful. If anyone is looking at Siebert and shaking in their boots, it should be Sendejo.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
