You know what we should have looked like today? Like the Cardinals against the 9ers. Murray looked great and improved and led his team to a win against last year's runner up. We lose to Baltimore and everyone says "but they were a great team last year". The Cardinals said screw that.

Last year, the year we were supposed to take the leap, we laid an egg against a middle tier team week 1.

Only in Cleveland.
Agreed, you play the team in front of you. There are no morale victories for playing a good team. If you think that way, you will always be a loser.

"well, they are a really good team". So? Be better.

I think we paid OBJ about just a shy under a million dollars a yard today.....

That shovel pass to Ingram begs to differ on the decision making.

He was pretty decisive. We'll see how long his confidence lasts.

My guess is he was on corticoidsteriods for awhile.. they help open up your airways but make you swell up like crazy... takes awhile to get rid of the excess weight afterwards...

Watching the Rams offense is what I thought we’d see from us.

-Great job by Washington. New coach w/cancer, a qb who no one on the previous staff wanted, controversy surrounding the team, and they fight their butts off and get a divisional victory.

--The SF/AZ game was a great game. Back and forth. Murray is a gamer.

--Darnold stinks as bad as Baker.

--I liked what I saw from Burrow. He's a fighter. He put them in position to win when it mattered.

--Saints looked very good.

--Contrary to some reports, A-Arod is not declining. He shredded Minni.

--How does that dude drop a winning TD pass for Detroit?

--ATL always gets love and usually disappoints.

--R. Wilson is a great qb.

--Josh Allen is improving.

--The Carolina/Raider game was entertaining. Carolina looked much better on O than I thought they would.

--Josh McDaniels is a smart OC.

--This piped-in crowd noise is the loudest cheering for a home team for either LA team since I can remember.

What I don't like about it, is that it was a game-changing play. Gotta swallow the whistle in those situations.

Just seeing the end of the Cowboys game ... that was a really weak call. Let them play. Ramsey is handfighting all game

Ramsey sold it pretty well. The penalty was pretty weak.

I think calling penalties on offensive players (instead of seemingly just shy of always on defense) might have been a point of emphasis this week (season?) for the officials.

AJ Green had a borderline OPI called, and there was an offsetting lowering of the helmets to initiate contact in another one of the games.

Tony Corrente is one of my least favorite officials too

I was watching the Bengals game and saw the AJ Green PI and I thought it was legit but the Gallup one seems ticky tacky.

Man, Ron Rivera had to get an IV during halftime of yesterday's game. Most of you probably know he was recently diagnosed w/cancer.

I wonder if his courage and grit helped inspire the team's comeback victory?

I believe it was a planned IV out of extra precaution, but either way.

Dwayne Haskins delivered the halftime speech and motivated the team.

I think the Washington defense bailed them out as the offense's longest scoring drive was 48 yds. Their TD drives were 45 yds, 20 yds, and 48 yds.

I think Lane Johnson being out and then Driscoll (?), his backup at RT, also getting injured during the game may have contributed to the Eagles giving up 8 sacks.

Watching the other 13 games yesterday, I think we have the worst ... maybe 2nd worst ... QB in the NFL

Be careful, Gardner Minshew may be listening.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Tyrod Taylor started for the Chargers...

There will be no playoffs. Can’t play with who we have out there and compounding it with garbage playcalling and worse execution. We don’t have good skill players on offense period. Browns 20 - Bears 17.

Let’s go through them:

Cam Newton
Josh Allen
Sam Darnold
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Joe Burrow
Lamar Jackson
Ben Roethlisberger
Patrick Mahomes
Drew Lock
Tyrod Taylor
Derek Carr
Ryan Tannehill
Deshaun Watson
Philip Rivers
Gardner Minshew
Matt Ryan
Tom Brady
Drew Brees
Teddy Bridgewater
Aaron Rodgers
Mitch Trubisky
Kirk Cousins
Matt Stafford
Dwayne Haskins
Dak Prescott
Daniel Jones
Carson Wentz
Russell Wilson
Jimmy Garoppolo
Kyler Murray
Jared Goff

I’d say maybe we’d rather have Baker than Darnold, Tyrod, and Trubisky

I'd add Drew Lock and Minshew (though he played well yesterday).

But yes, I'd take Baker over five other starting QBs.

After his rookie year, I don't think I would have taken anyone over Baker other than Mahomes.

Man, things change fast.

That list is alarming. There are probably a couple more that I‘d take Baker over but he should be much better going into his third season as the #1 overall pick. The fact that we are even having this conversation is brutal.

Agree ... not that I am suggesting Baker would be a rockstar elsewhere - but what is the forecast for how Lamar would look if he'd been taken by the Browns that year?

I don’t care how someone else would look. Baker’s situation is what it is, he needs to be better despite his circumstances.

The thing about Baker THIS year (and yes it’s still early) is he has everything tailored for him ... personnel, playmakers, philosophy (at least that’s the hope)

People need to slow their roll a bit; "THIS year" is barely even This Year, yet. Dude is on his 4th HC and 4th system (effectively) and coming off the Year of Freddie he rolls right into the Year of the Rona.

He absolutely needs to improve, but people need to stop sharpening the pitchforks until around mid-season. Our Training Camp this year was effectively what our spring mini camps should have been. Yesterday's game looked a *LOT* like a first Pre-Season game for our part. Unfortunately, three more "preseason" performances will have us at 0-4 or 1-3, BUT by the time we get to Week 8 we should see these guys all settling in to whatever the heck it is this coaching staff is trying to do.

Browns is the Browns

... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

Much like the weather that forecast would change depending on which channel you choose to watch. Would our record have been better with LJ as our QB? If so, would his second season have been better? Would that create a situation where we would have had more stability in coaching and the FO?

See, IMO, there's far too many variables there to know one way or the other how drafting LJ may have changed the landscape.
