There was also the report of porn being shown on the monitors in Berea. It was accidental, but still...

I liked Schobert’s awareness and toughness and ability to cover some .. but not his tackling prowess

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

...when did we ever cover TEs when Schobert was here?

Andrews had 3 TDs against us last year.

The Browns elevated LB Montrel Meander to the active roster:
https://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/browns-elevate-lb-montrel-meander

He’s fast (runs a 4.4) — converted DB ... maybe he’ll be able to help cover the TEs. Some highlights here: https://www.ganggreennation.com/2019/8/4/20732550/scouting-jets-defensive-back-montrel-meander

If only that would fit into our defensive game plan.

Many people say Stefanski loves TEs... I'm starting to think it may be an actual fetish.

Meander spend parts of the past 2 seasons on our practice squad.

Good news on Monday. If Mack can play before week 5 that’d be a pleasant surprise

If he returned to practice today, wouldn't that mean he might be able to go this upcoming Sunday?

We don’t know if he was limited or not but usually if a guy is practicing Monday he’s on track to play Sunday.

It's certainly a possibility, but it's no guarantee. Like cfrs15 said, we don't know in what capacity they returned.

That said, if they were full-go, then yes, I'd say they will play.
If they were limited, then I'd say to expect them to miss one more week. They may dress for Sunday, but likely wouldn't go in unless needed due to injury.

coach Kevin Stefanski said with Greedy Williams (shoulder) returning from injury, he has confident in Williams and Terrance Mitchell at the starting cornerback spot opposite Denzel Ward. Stefanski wouldn't commit to Williams starting over Mitchell.

Has anyone heard anything about Clayborn?

Or Vernon?

Sounds like it's going to be a nagging injury that he/we will have to manage throughout the season.

Vernon hurts our depth for sure, but I’m not sure we’re worse with Gustin

Gustin stepping up is saving our bacon. Vernon & Clayborn being hurt like they are is killer. Clayborn has a very affordable contract, and Vernon - thankfully - restructured, but that is still a lot of money injured at one position right after the start of the season.

I think it is safe to say we will definitely be going heavy on DE in the 2021 Draft.

Would be nice if he can continue playing at this level throughout the season. Who knows, maybe we found a diamond in the rough.

I hope Gustin can bring it against better offenses/Olines. Vernon not even making it to week 2 game means Gustin is in for a LOT more snaps.

A 78 score isn't anything to write home about but considering where he was drafted isn't too bad.

Not bad at all, indeed.

PFF has Elliott as the 5th highest graded rookie of all rookies at all positions albeit only two weeks into the season.
