GOING INTO THE BYE WEEK 3-3. heres the remainig schedule and there are some definate chaces to win some more games.
Regular Schedule

Sunday, October 28 @ St. Louis Rams
Sunday, November 4 vs SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
Sunday, November 11 @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Sunday, November 18 @ Baltimore Ravens
Sunday, November 25 vs HOUSTON TEXANS
Sunday, December 2 @ Arizona Cardinals
Sunday, December 9 @ New York Jets Sunday, December 16 vs BUFFALO BILLS
Sunday, December 23 @ Cincinnati Bengals
Sunday, December 30 vs SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

beating the rams( 0-6) ,bills(1-4), bengals(1-4), jets(1-5) is very realistic
texans(3-3), 49ers (3-3) cardinals(3-3), seahawks (3-3) good chance for some more wins. As of now we only play two teams with records above .500: steelers(4-1) and ravens (4-2). IMHO going 10-6 or 9-7 seems very realistic.

i was saying the same to my buddy yesterday ... honestly if we played consistantly after the bye week we could win all but one or two games (ravens and steelers) the rest of the season ...

That's if our offense continues clicking of course, we all already know about our D :-)

Rams, Bills, Jets, and Bengals have a combined 3 wins. That should give us 7 wins if we play our game.

The Niners, Texans, and Cards (because of injuries, Tim Rattay had to play this week) arent good. that could give us 3 more wins, that makes 10.

The Seahawks, Ravens and Steelers present the 3 biggest challenges left this year. If we can get through that 3 game stretch of those 3 teams, we could really really make some noise from here on out.

The Texans and Cards are two wild card teams that could hurt us, because they arent bad teams, theyre just playing badly the last few weeks (barring the Cards win over Pitt).

Its not inconceivable to see us win 12, however, its equally conceivable to see us win 6 or 7.

I think if we play our game (the games we played against Baltimore and the Miami first half) we can win 10+ games.

I hope we do, I'm excited, as long as we can string two good games in a row together. Thats going to be the key. This year we've played good every other week, which is only good enough to win 8, if we can play good week after week, the sky is the limit.

That being said. Please give us some defense Romeo!

Before the season I said between 7-9 and 9-7. I'll stick to it, though I agree that 10-6 is a possibility.

I think we have a meltdown against a team we "should " beat.

I still say 7-9 or 8-8, anything more is a Christmas bonus.

Did they cancel the game on Dec 16th against the Bills

Or did the NFL add another bye week, and drop to a 15 game schedule

I agree, everyone is still a little high on Sundays win. But we are still going to have days like Oakland where the offense just never gets going. We arent the Colts just yet.

I'm afraid to say anything....Lets just take one game at a time and hope for the best.....after the smoke has cleared and the snow flakes have fallen, lets hope we have a chance to make the playoffs, if not lets hope we screw up one of Dallas first rounders....LOL

I like our sked, but I am really trying hard to not look too far into the future. I know I started a "Playoffs?" thread a couple of weeks ago, but I'm trying to calm down.
Just be glad it's mid-October and we're .500, instead of already looking to next year.

I'm just happy not to be the laughing stock of the NFL this season.

Only two games on the schedule do I consider difficult. Pitt and Baltiwhore. Other than that, they are all winnable by a pretty fair margin. Seattle maybe, but not if they played like they did last night.

I can see us going 8-1 with the remaining schedule. Don't know how we'd do in the playoffs, but it would be entertaining to see us get in and give it a go. Cause anything can happen come playoff time.

It's too soon to be talking playoffs. We're not a playoff-caliber team. Our defense is horrid. I'll still be happy with 8-8 but we might win an extra game and get us to 9-7.

Unless are D does a complete 180 we won't finish with more the 6 wins.. If the D comes out of the bye week and is playing well, then 8-9 wins..

My sentiments exactly. I want soooo bad to get excited for a playoff appearance, but the realist in me has me telling myself to take one game at a time and hope for no devastating injuries each week.

lets look at it as quarters:

Q1, we went 2-2...

Q2, we are 1-1...

if we can go 3-1 in one of those quarters, and also go 2-2 in the rest, we should do quite well as far as making the playoffs...

I can see now though that the Ravens or Steelers are going to have to make a turn and do bad for us to have a chance..

as far as the division though, I think we can beat the Ravens again... I'm still worried about the Steelers and Bengals though..

I agree Turk.

The Bengals can put lots of points on the board. Our defense is really bad. Their defense is really bad, we put lots of points up too. These shoot outs scare me.

With the Ravens I feel like we match up better. If our defense stops their passing game Willis McGahee can do what he want and it won't give them as many points as we probably will put on the board.

Their defense didn't play us well at all, and I think Braylon is in McCallister's head. If they give help from Ed Reed, Winslow will own them. Amazingly, I think our guns beat out their defense. hehe, how about that!

I think we'll be 1-2 or 2-1 in our division and hopefully will give Pitt a fight. I don't see any reason why we can't make the playoffs this year if we somehow pull 10-6.

I don't think our team with our defense as it is is a playoff threat, but our offense puts the points on the board; more than plenty of other teams. So if our defense can pull it together we're definitely playoff caliber. Just gotta get there baby

It's about damn time - take away game 1 and we've been competitive in every game.

2 things:

1. We're going to have to find a way to get consistent pressure in the backfield... I don't care what it takes... this is where Romeo/Grantham should show their smarts, if they want this team to succeed and get into the Playoffs they are going to have to find a way to put quarterbacks on their butts.

2. We can not afford to play conservative ever, this team is not good enough to close up shop in the third quarter. Unless the clock reads 0:00 I want this team to continue to run up the score...

It's funny i go to school and since im like the only Browns fan here in Columbus at my High School everyone i get all the Cleveland Browns comments Monday Morning.

Today it was, How about the Browns play a real team, or have a tough schedule like its the College BCS Rankings or somthing after we beat Miami lol.

Yeah we play a pretty weak schedule but im not complaining....we may not really know how good we are until the season is over or until we play some tough teams but we have a chance for the playoffs if our defense improves and our offense can be consitant!

Funny, last year during our Bye i think we were all looking to what draft pick we would be and who we should get lol. Now thats not the case its how far can we go in the regular season and maybe even the post season!

I think the next four games will tell the tale. The pundits will pick us to go 1-3 of the next four, putting us at 4-6 with 6 to go. If that plays out what will the psyche of our team be? Going 5-1 down the stretch will be tough with our D. I think we need to go 2-2 of the next four to even start thinking of the playoffs. However, it's great to have the word "playoffs" in any post!

Yeah i didn't want to use the P word so earily or just yet, but i have too. Its better than looking at our draft position.

I think you hit the nail right on the head.

Our offense is good enough to keep us in ANY game. Unfortunately, our defense is BAD enough to keep our opponent in ANY game.

Rams: Win
Seahawks: Loss
Steelers: Loss
Ravens: Win
Texans: Win
Arizona: Win (If Warner is still hurt) Loss (if he isn't)
Jets: Win
Bills: Win
Bengals: Loss
49ers: Win

We should at least get 8-8, but I do see the good possibility of a 9 or 10 win season

If we find a way to contain Alexander... who is under performing we have a good chance of taking one away from the Seahawks

Be carefull when you predict so far out, I know it's fun, I do it, but i've also found between now and them teams get on rolls, things happen which change the prediction on the game, Really it's way to hard, lets just play them one at a time and hope for the best.
