That's not what he's saying... but others have. There have been reports of right-wing extremists inciting violence at otherwise peaceful protests. It's been mentioned and cited on here several times.

One of many links (but you've seen them before when they were posted on here). Some links focus on the left-leaning extremists' influence, some focus on the right-leaning ones. Many discuss both.

I put those posters on ignore long ago. Anything but a wholesale, unequivocal support of everything they think is racist. Trash posts with no insight or individual thought, every.single.day.

He called for the violence, looting, and rioting to stop months ago. He supports equality and the people protesting for that equality.

According to those Waste Management container posters on this site, even a slight criticism on anyone who is not white is akin to building Auschwitz. I think the reason they are so obsessed with Proud Boys is because they see themselves in them, radicals, nobodies with a tiny platform to espouse their irrational and illogical ideals.

Biden has called for an end to the violence since May. He has said those involved in criminal activity should be prosecuted. So yes, he has.

He has not asked peaceful protestors to stop exersising their constitutional rights to peacefully protest.

This is from the end of May - but it doesn't fit the hate filled agenda of some so they ignore it while trying to deflect from Trump and what the POTUS has done or not done to unite or divide the Nation.

Proud Boys Celebrate Trump’s Call For The Hate Group To ‘Stand By’

“Trump basically said to go f**k them up,” a prominent Proud Boy said. “This makes me so happy.”

Members of the violent hate group known as the Proud Boys celebrated after a callout from President Donald Trump in Tuesday’s presidential debate.

Trump told the far-right gang to “stand by” during an exchange in which moderator Chris Wallace of Fox News asked Trump if he was willing to condemn “white supremacists and militia groups.” Trump was not.

“Sure, I’m willing to do that,” Trump said, “but I would say almost everything I see is from the left wing, not from the right wing.”

After a back-and-forth in which both Wallace and Democratic nominee Joe Biden pressed Trump to condemn white supremacy, the president instead emboldened an extremist group that often engages in acts of violence.

“Proud Boys, stand back and stand by,” Trump said before abandoning Wallace’s question entirely to instead blame anti-fascists for violence.

On the Proud Boys’ account on the messaging app Telegram, members of the group celebrated the apparent endorsement.

“Standing down and standing by sir,” the account wrote.

One of the Proud Boys’ leaders, Joe Biggs, took the president’s endorsement as a call to violence.

“Trump basically said to go [censored] them up,” Biggs said in a chat on the right-wing social media app Parler. “This makes me so happy.”

And at an official Trump campaign debate watch party on a farm in Lititz, Pennsylvania, one Proud Boys member shouted “Uhuru!” after Trump’s endorsement. “Uhuru” is a common Proud Boys chant.

Before the night was over, Proud Boys were already sharing the group’s logo with Trump’s words “stand back” and “stand by” written on it. And they circulated memes including one of suspected killer Kyle Rittenhouse with Trump’s words on it.

The group, which bills itself as a fraternity of like-minded “Western chauvinists,” is more accurately described by the Anti-Defamation League as an Islamophobic, misogynistic group bent on causing violence. In 2018, 10 Proud Boys were charged in the attack of protesters outside a GOP event in New York City after video taken by journalist Sandi Bachom showed members of the group making targeted attacks.

Leaked chat longs obtained by HuffPost in 2019 revealed the group’s intentions to commit violence against anti-racists at rallies. And last weekend, hundreds of members met up in Portland to drink beer and menace journalists with baseball bats, Vice News reported.

Megan Squire, a computer science professor at Elon University who tracks online extremism, told NBC News that Trump’s endorsement emboldens the hate group.

“To say Proud Boys are energized by this is an understatement,” Squire told NBC News. “They were pro-Trump before this shoutout, and they are absolutely over the moon now. Their fantasy is to fight antifa in his defense, and he apparently just asked them to do just that.”

This is the second time in recent weeks that Trump has given a pat on the back to violent extremist groups. Last month, a reporter asked Trump about QAnon, an extremist conspiracy movement that has been identified by the FBI as a potential domestic terrorism threat. Trump was more than willing to embrace the group.

“I don’t know much about the movement, other than I understand they like me very much, which I appreciate,” Trump said. “I have heard that it is gaining in popularity. … I’ve heard these are people that love our country.”

On their account on the social media app Telegram, the Proud Boys appeared to take the statement as marching orders.

The Proud Boys, a far-right extremist group, pledged allegiance to President Donald Trump on Tuesday night after he told the group to "stand back and stand by" during the first presidential debate.

Many people on social media who identify with the group echoed that language, saying they were "standing down and standing by." One known social media account for the group made "Stand back. Stand by" part of its new logo.

Trump was asked by debate moderator Chris Wallace to disavow white supremacy during a part of the debate focused on race. Wallace asked whether Trump would urge white supremacist groups that inflamed violence at nationwide protests to "stand down."

Trump said to "give me a name" when asked to denounce a specific group, and former Vice President Joe Biden called out the Proud Boys.

But Trump did not denounce any far-right or white supremacist groups, and he then pivoted to talk about antifa.

"Proud Boys, stand back and stand by, but I'll tell you what, somebody's got to do something about antifa and the left, because this is not a right-wing problem. This is a left-wing problem," Trump said.

On the Proud Boys' account on the social media app Telegram, the group appeared to take the statement as marching orders.

"Standing down and standing by sir," the account wrote. The account then posted two videos of the answer, including one with the caption "God. Family. Brotherhood," in which a man howled at the TV in response to Trump's response.

The Proud Boys, a self-described "Western chauvinist" organization, is considered a violent, nationalistic, Islamophobic, transphobic and misogynistic hate group, according to the Anti-Defamation League, a nonprofit organization that tracks extremist groups. Proud Boys members marched at the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, and have organized against Black Lives Matter protests in recent months.

The group recently staged a rally in Portland, Oregon, in support of Trump. About 200 people, some armed with guns, attended the rally, short of the expectations of thousands.

Proud Boys organizer Joe Biggs also posted after the debate that he was "standing by," and he said the president "basically said to go f--- them up."

"President Trump told the proud boys to stand by because someone needs to deal with ANTIFA... well sir! we're ready!!" Biggs wrote.

Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt said in a tweet that the president's answer was "astonishing."

"President Trump owes America an apology or an explanation," he said. "Now."

Trumps' comments drew widespread condemnation on social media.

Yamiche Alcindor, White House correspondent for "PBS NewsHour," tweeted that she quoted the refusal to condemn white supremacy multiple times on air.

"It was a remarkable moment for the commander in chief as white supremacy is seen by national security experts as a threat to national security," she wrote.

David French, a conservative commentator who has been critical of Trump, tweeted that Trump's comments were "a call to be ready."

"In a nation wracked by unrest, that was one of the most irresponsible and reprehensible statements I've ever seen from a president," French wrote.

Democratic politicians also weighed in.

"Let's be clear: The Proud Boys are white supremacists," tweeted Oregon Gov. Kate Brown. "Racism and hate are not forms of patriotism."

Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey tweeted: "Donald Trump was asked to condemn white supremacists tonight. He wouldn't. He must be defeated."

Biden commented on the Proud Boys reaction, responding to a journalist who tweeted out a screenshot of the group celebrating the mention.

NO. Why should he? The BLM protests are peaceful and constitutional. President Trump on Wednesday tried to clear up confusion after telling the right-wing men’s group the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by,” during the first presidential debate, saying he didn’t know who the group was but they should let law enforcement do their job.

“I don’t know who the Proud Boys are. I mean, you’ll have to give me a definition because I really don’t know who they are,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “I can only say they have to stand down and let law enforcement do their work.”

Biden interrupted, calling Antifa “an idea, not an organization.”

Trump fired back saying, “Oh you’ve got to be kidding.”
