That's a nasty slider. Bad at bat given the result but we are working counts against him early. He's already thrown 60 pitches through 3 (Westbrook is only at 35). If we continue to battle, we may be able to chase Matsusaka by the 5th and get in to their bullpen early.

Yeah, and the announcers say "a bit low" even after the graphic CLEARLY shows it was a strike.

that was a tough play for Garko, because the ball hit the base, THEN popped right up at him Great reflexes to hang on to the ball, and that kind of makes up for the error he had in the 2nd.

I don't think the pitch track thing they have is really that accurate on breaking balls.
That ball clearly caught the front part of the plate but showed up low and away on pitch track.

Dice-K is done... put a fork in him.... he pitched a decent 4 innings... Timlin is a solid reliever though... he can go deep into a game and has been able to stop the bleeding... let's hope he's a little shaky tonight.

I think next year he is going to be lights out... kid had a lot up against him this year... but with a year under him he'll be unreal IMO. With him and Beckett that'll be a solid one two... I'd guess that Schilling will not be back though.
