We won!!!
cut sandejo
but we won!!! over 300 yards rushing. OBJ had THE MONSTER GAME!!
still trying to calm down, did not like the defensive collapse in the 4th quarter.
but another other year, we lost this game. we WON!!! THATS ALL THAT MATTERS.
3-1 baby here we go!!!!

The OL are Beast
The Defense played well at times and continue with takeaways +3 today

Somehow we've got to bottle that first half O and D for future use.

Our OL was absolutely awesome today. Man, they blasted open huge hole after huge hole all game long.

i said in the matchup thread that our DBs were gonna have opportunities to get their hands on the ball.
we had a shot at atleast 3 picks on different drives. thankfully Ward came up with the pick to seal the W, but.....
cut sandejo.

Wow , what a game .. I hope that Coach Stef. learned his lesson about Coaching for three quarters. I had to listen to the game on the computer.. What sticks in my head is ; "Prescott , back connects over the middle , over the middle , over the middle , over the middle , over the middle , over the middle , over the middle , over the middle , over the middle .. Just love Woods and his 4/2 .. BUT what a game and win !

I can't wait for Versatile to tell me how I don't know squat about what I watched today.
But they won, and this was a game to remember,
always better to be on the right side of those at the end!
And DEFENSE!
This sorry, suffering succotash defense got a win out of this day with 3 drives stopped by bad guy turnovers.
and gave up 38 points to boot and couldn't stop any 2 pt conversions.
Todays defense is like having a best friend who is a meth addict, and burns you house down, and wins the lottery and leaves you the inheritance before he dies.
What the heck no doubt!
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

I love the offense. Really coming together with an identity and a composure about themselves I haven't seen in ages. We want to run, we are going to run! I love that. Punch them in the mouth and keep slugging away!
Our defense needs to really up their game particularly in pass defense. Either by scheme, performance or both I have little to no confidence in them yet.
Garrett continues to be an absolute beast.

That reverse run by OBJ after Dallas cut it to 3 was a great call. The stars on this team played great today. Feels good to be 3-1! GO BROWNS!

If we had even an average safety then this game isn’t even close. No way you can tell me sendejo is better than thomas or Clinton-dix. I hope Chubb is ok, our success is going to be based on that line and backs staying healthy. If baker has to throw to win games it won’t work but that’s fine as long as he doesn’t turn it over. Callahan was the best offseason hire. Transformed the whole direction and identity of this team. Teams aren’t marking a W on calendar for browns games

Nice win, but they underestimated Dallas in the fourth quarter. They can score quick, and I think the Browns defense went soft thinking it was in the bag.

Just once I'd like to be happy with a 27 point lead instead of worrying about how they are going to blow it. I felt we got too conservative too soon.
Great to see the other RB's step up after Chubb left the game. Great to finally have a running game that controlled the clock for the most part. Great to be 3-1.
It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!

- Big win for this team.
- I hope Chubb injury is not serious. MRI to be done on his knee.
- Garrett with another strip sack.
- Let this game be a lesson to Stefanski as evidence to not take your foot off the gas when you have a terrible defense.
- Prevent offense aside, Stefanski calls a great game.
- OBJ was outstanding today.
- Sendejo makes me miss Ray Mickens and Hank "Got Beat" Poteat.
- Parkey nailing his kicks.
- The Scottish Hammer seems off this year.
- The Browns rushed for 307 yards and a large part of that is w/o Chubb. Wow.
- Baker did lose the game or turn the ball over. His deep balls aren't even close. Missed OBJ for a TD.
- The defense nearly had 3-4 picks, but couldn't hang on.
- Big play by Ward to end the game.
- Landry had some big catches on 3rd down. Great throw on the TD to OBJ.
- DPJ solid in the return game.
- The over covered.
- McCarthy is an idiotic ATL hands team play away from having the Cowboys at 0-4.
- Fun and meaningful football is happening in Cleveland. It's been a long time coming.

Wow, I need oxygen....
I figured it would be a high scoring game, and I am glad to see OBJ have a breakout game...
The defense will give us heartburn all season long.
But if there is one thing that has to be said you cannot win passing the ball, just ask Dak, 500 yards in a loss is still a loss. 1-3 for the boys will put pressure on McCarthy to start running.
There will be no playoffs. Can’t play with who we have out there and compounding it with garbage playcalling and worse execution. We don’t have good skill players on offense period. Browns 20 - Bears 17.

Please, someone needs to ask MCarthy why he tried a squib kick with 3:45 to go?? That was stupid. And Dallas should be 0-4 now.

IIRC Sandejo was brought in to be veteran guidance for the safety room. The original plan didn't have him spending much time on the field. Then Delpit got hurt and plans changed.

Precisely.
Exactly what I was going to point out.
Major props to Kevin Stefanski.
My only problem is that with the big lead late. We did not blitz. I thought it was time to come with a safety or corner blitz. We let them back in the game.
Obviously giving up the yards we gave up to their passing game. We can not continue with what we are doing in the defensive backfield.
In the end it is all about the WIN.
Learn from the mistakes.
The OL is a great asset. We were so dominate there.
I sure hope Chubb is ok. If he had remained healthy I am sure he would have run for over 200 yards.

Post game thoughts...
Almost Marty-balled that 4th quarter. Prevent defense doesn't work if your corners can't take away the outside. Rarely has it been more clear what this team needs.
Bill Callahan for president! And Stump Mitchell for VP. This team has been reborn on the OL. As good as Chubb and Hunt are it's pretty clear the blocking on this team has improved 1000% from last year. Pretty impressive considering it's new group with minimal contact practice.
I really can't fault the play calling. It's been many years when I didn't quibble with play calling. We've gotten lucky a few times but I like the mix and the faith in the players. We are finally the ground and pound, run down your throat offense I think a lot of fans have wanted to be for many years.
Beckham comes with a lot of baggage but he showed today why you put up with true star players. He showed out today. He pretty much put this game away single handedly with that run. That was all him. And he had some impressive blocks.
I can't help but think the defense needs scheme help. I'm not knowledgeable enough on the matter to say definitely but we're not without talent. That 4th quarter collapse is very concerning. I went back to old-Browns mode. I was *sure* we were going to choke. They effectively took away our pass rush in the 4th. Also, Vernon seems like a straight up waste right now. He doesn't appear to have anything left.
We WON IN DALLAS when Prescott had 500yds and 4TDs and Baker had 165yrds and 2TDs. That fact alone is mystifying.
Good teams seemingly get lucky a lot. We got lucky a lot today. Is it becasue we're finally getting good? I don't know, but 3-1 ain't too shabby.
