That's too damn bad ... we are fortunate to have Hunt and Johnson looked really lively too ... but Chubb is special. Glad it sounds like he will be back.

This could be the perfect scenario. Easier to spread the ball around now and keep everyone else happier. Then Chubb returns late in the season for a playoff run and the playoffs and he has fresh legs.

Having Kareem Hunt as a backup is going to come in quite handy. Let’s hope D’Ernest Johnson can continue to perform like he did against Dallas.

I’d say it could be worse news for sure. I was hoping for 2-3 weeks (and it still COULD be), but he’ll be out until the bye IMO
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

That Hunt contract is looking like a pretty good investment right about now.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Hoping Chubb is 100% healed up when he returns.
Also hoping Hunt heals up himself. He wasn't out there near as much as I would've expected with Chubb sidelined.

Hilliard Sucked yesterday
If Hilliard was the lame option that sucked a year or 2 ago, When Hunt was suspended for half a year,
and combine that with yesterday, then He's got to Go!
And D'Ernest Johnson layed it on the line, yesterday.
You going to tell me
Dontrel Hilliards (silence myself) is going to get touches going forward but Rashard Higgins ain't good enough to? Get the blank outta here! with that nonsense
Do the right thing!
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

It’s hard for a RB to carry a team for an entire year. It’s much easier for them to carry a team for a few weeks. So, the hope is Hunt can do a lot of the heavy lifting the next two-three games

Good to have depth.
I will sure miss watching him for whatever time he is out.
At least it is not a tear.
Sprains are hard to judge. Chubb as we all know is a hard worker. He has been through rehab before on his other knee.
No doubt he will do every thing possible to return asap.
Hunt hopefully will be able to play. He can take over games behind our line.
Get Well Nick.

It could have been worse, but it sucks that Chubb is going to miss that much time.
Good thing that Dorsey brought in Hunt and Berry gave him a new deal. There were folks hoping we would dump him for a ham sandwich.

Well there goes the Chubb running title this year.
But didn't Hunt win one of those?...

So should we assume its a sprained and not torn MCL? Not really. However, an MCL tear is not like an ACL tear. You can be running and cutting on a partial MCL tear in just a few weeks.... basically, just enough time for it to settle down and have the inflammation go away. I got a 75% tear in my right MCL about 10 years ago. It was heavily swollen and stiff for a couple of weeks, and felt kinda wonky for a bit, but I was running and in the weight room in short order.

So should we assume its a sprained and not torn MCL? My guess is it is a grade 1 or he'd likely have been done for most/all the season. Often these are minor tears with no long term integrity issues and people can start on exercise immediately within their tolerance levels with a recovery time of 4-6 weeks. I'm guessing he's taking anti inflamatories and RICE with minor exercise. Clearly I'm not there, so I don't know, but grade 2 is about 8-10 weeks and grade 3 is a complete tear and it is 10-12+ weeks.

Prayers go out to Chubb. He want's to win and feels it ten times more than us fans do. Lord please heal Chubb and get him back on the path he was on. In Jesus name I pray.

Is this the same knee he blew out in college? I don't want him to hurry back if that means he's risking further, more catastrophic injury.

Relatively good news considering what it could be. Any word on the other guys "inured" yesterday such as Larry O?

Hate seeing Chubb miss any time.
But having Hunt is a warm blanket. Glad he got the extension. He is a terrific back and can carry the load.
D'ernest was doing fine as well.
But damn watching that OL is a thing of beauty.
Even Baker got in the action on the Jarvis throw.
Funny seeing that small dude against a big fella.

The good news is it SEEMS to be a grade 1 sprain, maybe 2. There’s very little tearing. I’d assume he’s gonna want to be back soon, so he’ll make it happen right after the bye

You can’t replace a guy like Chubb, but we have Hunt, and D’Ernest to tote the football. Stay healthy Kareem, we need you.
If our OL can stay healthy we will keep on bulldozin’.

Good news about Chubb. Glad to hear it. Hats off to you for working through that injury! Is it still OK? Just wondering about how susceptible he might be later in this season. Hopeful that he will get some help from bye resting. I am convinced he works out in his sleep. Be healed, Mister Chubb!

I never had a repair done and it's perfectly fine. I've done triathlons (Sprints through Full Iron-distance), marathons, 50k's, Olympic lifting, Crossfit, Warrior Dashes, etc.. all on that knee and never even one issue. Granted, all of that is a bit different than the type of hard cutting he will be asking of it, but I have zero doubts that I would be able to do that stuff on my knee and his knees are WAY stronger than mine have ever been. I'm convinced that he won't have a problem at all - once he learns to trust it and go.

Chubb will probably miss 4 games since the 5th game week is our bye, and he will return after the bye, that's not bad, in the meantime we still have Hunt who has led the NFL in Rushing and is and all pro, Johnson looks really good also, and this OL will still open the holes it did when Chubb was here. Also we play Indy, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and LV, if we can win 2 maybe even 3 0f those games we will be 5-3, 6-2 and sitting great heading into the 2nd half of the season, when Chubb returns ... GO BROWNS

I think Hunt would greatly benefit from a reduced workload for a few weeks to heal up.

First I am a huge Chubb fan. He is all about winning and team.
Miss watching him.
Want him back as soon as ready. He is a great asset for this team.
Can't wait for his return. He will be key in the second half.
Losing Odell is sad.
Chubb and Teller coming back will help.
Higgins and DPJ stepped in and delivered. I hope Hodge returns and is effective in contributing as well.

Hubbard has been holding up well for a backup, but he's not getting the movement Teller had been. Chubb does have better long speed, but if I only need a yard inside, I might go Hunt. It will be nice if we get them both back healthy again.
