https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/3012...unknown-illnessBEREA, Ohio - Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was sent home Thursday with an illness. Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said that Beckham hadn't tested positive for COVID-19, but the team was taking action by keeping him away from the practice facility out of "an abundance of caution." Beckham took a COVID-19 test Thursday before leaving and Stefanski said the team would know the results of that by Friday. ADVERTISEMENT "How the protocols are, you have to be careful," Stefanski said. "I don't want to assume anything. With all our guys, we'll make sure we follow the protocols and just be safe." EDITOR'S PICKS Browns' Myles Garrett playing at elite level going into Steelers rematch The Browns (4-1) are off to their best start since 1994 and Sunday will be aiming to defeat the Steelers in Pittsburgh for the first time in 17 years. Beckham has been a huge part of the Browns' hot start. He scored three touchdowns in Cleveland's victory over Dallas on Oct. 4, and has 294 yards receiving on 21 receptions this season. "I don't know if I want to go there yet," answered Stefanski, when asked how it would affect the Browns if Beckham couldn't play in Pittsburgh. "He's a big part of what we do."

I think he's fine. If you're showing signs of sickness and testing negative, you don't have covid.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I think the assumption is that they're tested every day. Right?

The fact it says "Unknown illness" makes me more concerned about him than the teammates; Not all things are contagious, for example hernia and similar internal unknowns.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Stefanski said that OBJ’s test results for today (10-15) haven’t come back yet but his test results for yesterday (10-14) were negative.

David Njoku is coming back, for the 2nd week in a row. Denzel Ward is back, though he's been active for previous games, Austin Hooper as well. and Steve Carlson. I'll just start listing all healthy players as though this is their first week back from an injury to give the Browns a boost.

Reading along. Thanks for that info! Hope he is OK and gets back ASAP. Higgins and Vise Grips just got more important.

Well this certainly does not bode well. This was just tweeted about 25 minutes ago by adam sheftner. Im pretty sure you can all make the connection here with obj being sent home sick. This is the link to the tweet, no idea how to make the image appear https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/1317058222621138951?s=19

There’s a chance we have more positives today then, too. We’ll see.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

If this causes this game to be changed or postponed that will put the Squeelers 2 games behind the 8 ball

OBJ still has to be tested and cleared again today before being able to return. You need two consecutive negatives to re-enter any team facility.
On a brighter note, at least he didn't get the sniffles the day before a game.

I could be wrong, but I thought the team said from the beginning that it was not Covid and that he just wasn't feeling well?

But if you are sick you you have to have two consecutive negative tests before being allowed back. He took a test today but it takes awhile to get results. If he is negative tomorrow he is allowed back and will play.

... but he was also tested as a precaution. As I write that, I don't know what that means as far as when he's allowed back at the facility.

Anyone else have the nose swab rona test? It kind of stings after I thought, it caused my sinuses to go off and my sinuses didn't clear back up until two days later. It would suck to have them multiple times a week!

Great! So is he able to play now? This virus is really a problem ; ask the Colts. Let's just win this one.

There are 2 (that I'm aware) nose swab tests. One is the CVS self-administered test. That one is fine (you're jabbing your own nose and the person overseeing says you don't have to poke your brain).
The other is the PCR test. That's administered by a nurse or tech or something, and she told me to lean my head all the way back so the top of my head was already pressed against the wall "so you don't smack your head on the wall". "oh God..." I thought to myself.
