Spero Dedes & Adam Archuleta will call the action. In other words, I'll be watching with the volume on mute.

Broadcast in a small market. We've got the CBS 'B Team' calling the game. It's a 1pm start.
Back to our comfort zone. This has all the makings of a Browns victory.

I have Sunday Ticket, so the local broadcast doesn't matter for me. But dang man, that is a sorry ass announcing crew.

I live here in C-town, so I can get the radio play-by-play, but its about 14 seconds behind the TV action. I wish I could sync the radio call with the TV, but I don't have a DVR. I would listen to Donovan and Dieken every time if I could. Even the best network announcers annoy me. Actually, the whole network production from pregame to halftime to postgame, and all the commercials in between are tedious and annoying. I always end up spending half my Sunday saying "Ah, STFU!" to the TV. It scares my dog.

Hate the game going to these guys. Need a Dedes bypass operation. A sperodectomy. Just sets me off. Go, Browns, anyway.

The radio guys here in Cinci are B-R-U-T-A-L. I know they have to be homers and everything, but they really take it to the next level. Plus, they have a guy with a headset on that 95% of his contribution during the broadcast is just grunts and incoherent yelling. The guy gets in 1-2 coherent sentences per game.

Lapham is the worst. We are VERY spoiled with Donovan and even Dieken.
Agree with you on his announcing. During a play, he'll just yell "YES! YES! YES!" or "You have got to be kidding me!" and as the listener, you have no idea WTH is happening.

My favorite is the disappointed grunt/moan when there's a turnover or negative play.

My favorite is the disappointed grunt/moan when there's a turnover or negative play. thats kinda why I dislike DIeken. He always moans and grunts during Donovan’s calls. IMO DIeken’s days are past him. He’d be okay to do a few quick segments or whatever, but not call the game

I don't mind it because he's a good complement (IMO) to Donovan, and regularly chimes in with informative stuff. His comments after the play help to understand what had just happened.

I can tune in the Browns radio broadcast, or the Bengals radio broadcast, and since about 2010 the Steelers also, spit!
I do notice the Bengal guy, if I ever listen, does do that, plus they are incredibly without common sense, what I never got about Bengal fans is they usually are 0-6, 0-7, but if they win just 1, they claim it's the start of a 12 game win streak and they are going to win the super bowl, and they are Adamant about it.
Basically could have bet bengal fan before the season started that Joe Burrow was going to break the rookie touchdown pass record. I don't bet, should have taken that one though.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Everytime I've tried to do that my TV is not in sync with the radio broadcast. My TV is about 25 seconds, 3/4 of a play ahead of the radio broadcast, but I mute the TV and listen to the radio broadcast unless there's a penalty I'm trying to hear about. It's worth it, because the TV is so messed up, I can't listen to that biased crap.

Agreed.
I live with whatever delay is there... I'd much rather hear the game from "my guys" than the national people.

I just watch the game and don't get bunched up about who is announcing.

Speaking of getting bunched up by announcing...
1 of the ding-dongs talking during the game said that Garrett 'has complete freedom to line up wherever he wants'. He made it sound like Garrett can just choose to line up wherever right before the ball is snapped.
This is as stupid as it sounds, right?

That's not the first time I've heard that, and I thought it was the case, actually. I think I first heard it as far back as Week 1; perhaps during the training camp scrimmage thing?
Browns is the Browns

Joe Woods was asked this question during a press conference and he said he tells Garrett where to lineup. The same question was asked to Garrett and he said he has a little input.

Yesterday, Garrett dropped into coverage on a zone blitz by a CB. At the time I thought that it was probably not the best use of his abilities, but the pass was incomplete so it ended up not mattering.
