Why didn’t we offer the same deal? Our picks are better and we have the need.

I have no idea? I thought the Vikings and Ski were still pretty tight. Division rival? That's a slap in the face.

Time to call Minnesota about Harris
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Are they starting their firesale, or did this guy just not work out for them?

I really don't understand this move by Minnesota, they have a mostly young team their problem is that their defense is decimated with injuries and having rookies playing in the secondary. 1 really good off-season and they could be back in the hunt.

That's why I asked if this was just an isolated incident. This is the same guy that forced his way out of Jax.

They went into the season with the least cap space in the league. They have aging pieces all over the place. Adding some assets while also clearing some salary is probably wise at 1-5.

Like the rest of you, this trade does not make sense for the Vikings.
Are there any reports of Ngakoue being a problem in their locker room?

Are there any reports of Ngakoue being a problem in their locker room? No. They are sellers. They are just trying to salvage some of what they gave up for Ngakoue.

Time to call Minnesota about Harris Ask for Harrison Smith, settle for Anthony Harris. I just checked PFF grades. Smith is ranked 12th of 82 safeties and Harris is ranked 30th. Either would be a huge upgrade. Btw...Ngakoue is ranked 47th of 110 Edge guys.

But the older guys are at key spots. Accumulate assets, build around the young guys and be back ready for action next year.

They already drafted his replacement in Ezra Cleveland. Cousins (32) and Harrison Smith (31) are the only other 2 starters over 30.

The Vikings are set to carry next to nothing over to next year on the salary cap and are pending over the cap by an estimated 8 million next year.
If the tryout didn't work and you know they are gone come the spring...sell.
They are 1-5 and just lost their other DE, I think.
We'd take that for Vernon in a heartbeat and we are 4-2.
People ask me what I do in spring when there's no football. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for fall

If they are bad enough to get one of the top QBs in the draft Kirk Cousins will be gone. He may be gone even if they aren’t able to draft one of the top guys.

Njoku's name is mentioned often in trade rumors.
Casserly says the Eagles are in need because Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert were injured.
He said Njoku would warrant the Eagles giving up a sixth for Njoku and a seventh.
There is no way I would trade him for that.
In fact I would only trade Njoku for a player who could start and improve a position.
I would not trade him for a draft pick lower than a fourth.
He is more valuable on the team. He is a guy who is a red zone threat. In addition he is nightmare matchup in the middle of the field. I get that he can't block.
That doesn't mean he is not useful.

Is he really a matchup nightmare in the middle of the field or is that just a theory based on what we thought Njoku would be?

Probably not, but he is worth more than a 6th and 7th. It would be okay to trade him for a better FS in my opinion. Not sure who that would be, but a 6th and 7th? No thank you.

I just don’t think we are getting anything of value for him. He has proven nothing. I’d rather have Njoku the rest of this season, then cut him then have a sixth round pick.

Another one of our 1st round picks that we'll get next to nothing for. How many is that since "99 7 or 8?

Trade doesn't make any sense for the Vikings. He was on a 1 year deal! They would easily get a 3rd round comp pick just for letting him walk in free agency (albeit a year later).
I also think this shows Baltimore is going all-in to win this year. They will have problems going forward after Jackson signs a new contract this off-season.

So the QB, starting wide receiver, left tackle, and best defensive player.
We’ll see if they start trading more pieces. Yeah, the #10 ranked QB in the league, #3 ranked WR, a LT who they already have a replacement for, and the #12 ranked S. The Vikings' problems are that they have/had no pass rush other then Ngakoue and that they are starting 2 rookie CBs who are struggling, plus both starting OLB are on IR along with their best pass rusher in Hunter. They are bottom 5 in the league in stopping the pass and bottom 10 in the league in stopping the run.

Vikings just said Danielle Hunter was going to have season-ending neck surgery. They are one of the teams that have been hit hard by injury.

I think TB has been a bit disappointed in Godwin’s production thus far (he may be injured?). But he and Brady haven’t connected like they anticipated ... and Evans is more of a big play guy, not a meticulous route runner like Brady thrives with

I was being sarcastic. Godwin had a concussion and then a hammy. They are loaded at WR.

It still blows my mind how far he fell. He looked so awesome at times his rookie season and then lost his vision. He was a physical specimen.
