Pretty much my entire family that's here in Tennessee went to vote early Wednesday. Daughter, her husband, my grandson, my wife and myself. My son in law has never voted Democrat for president. While we haven't always seen eye to eye on policy issues, we've never actually had any animosity towards each other over politics. Wednesday was the first time he voted for a Democrat for president.
While it's certainly an isolated instance, it has given me some insight to how a a suburban, moderate thinking Republican views Trump and it isn't good.

Ok, so that article said the same thing I (tried) to say.
They didn't go out and say, "let's separate all those families". They said "let's prosecute everyone crossing illegally in order to deter further crossings long-term".... not knowing (or caring) what downstream effects there would be.
I mentioned that this might be splitting hairs because, in the end, whether the mass separations were accidental or intentional, the whole thing was (another) example of a shocking lack of humanity in this administration.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
Actually the policy was to try and keep families together rather than splitting them up.

They thin know better than the MOM how to raise her infant, Therefore, they believe they are better to take the infant away from it's mom.
They think they know better than the person who drives a car, therefore they believe they are better to take away your car and replace it with some electric piece of crap.
It never ends, even if it results in torture and death.
See, the thing is, Democrats believe they know better than you whether you have a right to not be tortured, so when they torture you it will be for your own good, because democrats think they know so much.
And the same in matters of life and death, death camps, well the democrats are smarter, see, so if they feel your life is better ended, who are you to complain, I mean, your just not as smart as them so it makes it ok, in the democrats twisted mind.
Pick a topic, the template is evidenced. healthcare, money speech jobs industry wars and military where you can live, what you can eat, what you can buy, how much money or things of value you can have,
how warm, hot or cold your environment,
Even with how much vigor and enthusiasm you must thank them for the punishments they dwell out to you.
Because, democrats think they "know" more than you, they think they are some evil potentate, that can take over your life, but it's ok, because, smartly, they know better, therefore their decision was better, no matter how the consequences effect you, because you just aren't smart enough or know as much as they think they do.

J\C Just an observation ...I believe that these children were were abandoned by their parents cause any good parent should be looking for their lost children not the other way around watta joke that the libs are blaming Trump. I agree with everything you said. On the detention centers, I think Biden missed what could have been a substantial blow. When Trump accused him of building cages, he could have said "I sure as hell never had any cages built to hold children inside of, like we've seen under your administration, Mr. President." The sad thing is I could actually see him saying that line verbatim, and he missed it.
I think where Trump landed his biggest blows was on the issue of criminal reform. Joe really pivoted the conversation there.
I think Biden definitely had more of a detailed process behind what his vision would do, which is a bad look in my eyes for Trump, because he's actually the person currently in office trying to deal with things.
Trump saying once again that they're very close on an Obamacare substitute was sickeningly irritating to me.

The Democrats! in 2003, in 2008, in 2012, in 2016, and previous to all of those, going back to, at least to the Clinton inauguration, RUINED AMERICA, and it has effects on real people, and maybe some have been insulated elitest situations haven't seen it, but it's the DEMOCRAT PARTY that does it, and if they had any SENSE, or even had any goodness, then folks wouldn't have to live with it.

They are very self-interested, I agree with you, but so is Mitch McConnell, and many of the Republican senate. I actually think I might disdain Ted Cruz more than just about anyone in Washington.
I mean, can we all address how asinine it is that we have an 80 year old in the House and a 78 year old in the Senate (who looks like he's dying now by the way) who are basically in charge of negotiating our country's present and future recovery???

Which goes down the road we have been traveling today. Throwing out accusatory catch phrases doesn't really say anything. I'm not some left wing extremist and have actually gone at it with a couple of the far more liberal posters on this board because of it.

Which is what I find most scary when it comes to Trump and some of his most extreme supporters. After hearing this for four years, people become desensitized it to the point where lunacy and lies become the new normal.
The same thing applies to Covid. People will begin to ignore it, minimize it and become desensitized to it. More and more people will die and the problem will become even more complicated and prolonged.

I have always been disappointed Biden never mentions the fact that he and Obama turned the country around from a financial crisis and he knows how to do it again. After trump screwed up one of the best growing economies. Trumps economic success was just riding what Obama and Biden had set up.
It gets mentioned but it dwarfs in comparison to all of the times Trump tries to rewrite history with his words. See, the entire nation hears the words of the president all the time. Which only reinforces the old adage that the wheel that squeaks the loudest get the grease.
