Cut sendejo
damn baker!!!
Baker started off the game about as bad as any QB could.
then he completely turned it around and started shredding the bengals defense.
coincidentally, this happened after OBJ went down with the injury.
OBJ is an elite WR. that being said, Baker was forced to play like rookie mayfield, throwing it all over the field to a bunch of different guys.
at this point, if Stefanski hasn't noticed the crazy chemistry between Baker and higgins, he needs his eyes checked. Landry is the best WR on this team, but higgins is MONEY with baker. he needs to be playing over guys like hodge. period.
but yea, saw more 2 TE sets, bryant and njoku making plays left and right.
and man, 2nd half baker.....wow. just freaking wow. he made throw
after throw
after throw
2nd half mayfield looked like the guy we picked #1 overall. that last drive.....smh wow. just wow. the ball placement, higgins and peoples-jones making great catches, it was beautiful.
our defense is hot garbage, except our D line. we gotta do something about the secondary.
but guess what DT???

I checked into the game day thread a couple times - there was so much Baker hate I had to leave.
Glad we won. It doesn't prove anything one way or another with Baker - but it was nice to win and nice that he went on a tear.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

If baker could play cincy every week he’d be hof. This offense is resilient but the defense is trash. You have to make some trades before deadline to fix if you even want to dream about playing in playoffs. I think you could get something for njoku and obj. Not enough to fix everything but a couple pieces to help now and some draft capital for later. When you don’t force a single punt against a 1-4 team you have issues

Not Happy! This game shouldn't have been close YOU GAVE UP 100 COMPLETIONS TO THIS ROOKIE SON OF DOG QB 1-800- RUNNING - BACK!!! DID LANDRY PLAY TODAY??? Anyone can say what they want about Baker, but he showed up in that second half in a big way. Big way.
Our defense is all Garrett and at times Ward. Outside that they are garbage. At 49 and grossly out of Covid19-can't go to Planet Fitness to exercise--shape, I think I can do better than Sandejo.
All this talk about getting OBJ in the game, I really think they may be better off without him. It isn't that I think ill of OBJ, just that Baker plays better when he isn't playing and Higgins makes plays all game long. Why force something that ain't there?

Yes so glad at that ending. I've been begging for 2 years to use Higgins and Njoku (although I know a lot of you still don't like him) and it was finally forced by the OBJ injury.
We also started throwing to Hunt in the flat.
I hope Coach can learn from this one cuz because he was forced he was making a lot of boneheaded calls.
Great coaches need to adapt every game and again within each game. You can't just do the same plan over and over.

- Baker completed 22 passes in a row including 5 TDs.
- Baker was a completely different played once OBJ was off the field. His game is night and day w/o OBJ. None of that is OBJ's fault either. He's an amazing talent.
- The Bengals never punted today.
- OL played great all day.
- The back 7 on this team, save for Ward, are absolutely horrendous.
- Hollywood Higgins produces wehn given the opportinuty. 6 receptions on 6 targets for 110 yards. What a hero!
- DPJ with a huge TD and kept his feet in bounds.
- Money Mitchell needs to lose the nickname 'Money'.
- It's the Bengals, but that comeback win will be good for the teams psyche.

I feel with OBJ out Baker didn't have to focus on him, and that made it easier for Baker to look over the field for the open receiver. jmo. Winning games like this is something this team didn't do much of in the past.

Please, Baker Stunk up the first half, and again, threw a dumb pick at the beginning of the game. What Stefanski did was call plays where Baker was making 1 read. Then he lit it up. Also, Stefasnki had Baker hit some check downs....
But the TE's played good and the line gave protection. The D.. that needs work and the DC gotta answer for this.

Still Numb Is this Bakers coming out party Garrett is a total BEAST Ward played Great saved us 4 points in the end zone Parky still perfect OL play amazing again No Hooper yet Bryant and Njoku were great 5 WINS 2 losses

Landry and OBJ had an anticlimactic day today
the difference is Landry was healthy the whole day.

Why wasn't Landry involved more . Was he hurt? He had a big or bigger gain in the first half and a couple other catches...but I think Baker had more favorable match ups to throw to, thus Higgins and Hunter coming alive on yeah and DPJ
